So today I ran into a Swooping Hawk using a Sun Rifle, firing from 200m away and hitting me, blinding me with the visual effect on my screen. He rotated around to a couple other people, blinding all of us. What freaking liberal arts intern thought this was a good idea? Taking control away from a player, including being able to look at their own screen and not have the graphics fucked with, is never a good thing.
It hardly blinds you... anyone can look at the hawk and shoot them dead while laughing at the tickle laser lol. All it does is put a bright yellow spots at the edge of your screen, stop exaggerating just because you hate Eldar.
Kinda hard to do that as a melee while you're pinged at about 200m. And obviously not anyone, but if it doesn't affect you feel free to listen.
It's annoying as hell and a real hindrance if you're hit while in melee with other space fairies. Does it have a similar effect on friendly fire at least?
The problem is there is no way to counter/mitigate it for the receiving end, no loadout trinkets to take into the field, nothing. It's just a Eldar's "blind your opponent for free" card that they can use anytime they want. Plus it's on a flying character that can almost float. Try shooting a small flying target blinded like that.... as an ork.
