  1. "Savior Kills" for vehicles could give extra exp and reward the role you describe. Basically killing any enemy infantry within 20 meters of a friendly transport or friendly tank = Savior Kill = Extra Exp.

In addition we could use the actual savior kill mechanic/criteria from Battlefield games but instead of "savior kill" for friendly infantry if you kill any player that's damaging a friendly vehicle from any distance. i.e. Lascannon, Tempest Launcher, etc, you get awarded a vehicle savior kill and extra exp.

That's actually a pretty good idea, working kinda like the current waypoint mechanic for squad leaders. Though extra xp doesn't sadly give me anything anymore since i'm maxed out. x( But it would pretty well indicate if somebody did something like that though. I wonder if it could backfire somehow, like grinding points at the spawn or something or something that would make you not properly use the transport.

Maybe in combination with the suggestion that vehicles would need to be stationary to deploy units would make the system perfect.

Doesn't solve the orangutan problem though that is the main subject here.

Like that driver that preps points for easy cap while cap is under way and gets no xp or kills save for the occasional roadkill or roadrage, jumping out of the Rhino to punch some guy in the face. Its a thankless role but well worth it if you don't need the xp:

    The role:

That driver who takes the Rhino to point C on Medusa at start of match (drifting at full speed with flawless accuracy and timing) and parks it subtly out of sight between the ruins and trenches and leads the squad to cap point.

Then now that C is fully boxed in by squad dosen't wait for the xp tick, instead he re-deploys to Rhino, advises of moving Rhino to B ready for squad to re-deploy to Rhino.

Squad follows suit and re-deploys to Rhino, now at B after capping C.

Shortly after B is now fully boxed in with cap under way driver leaves, again not waiting for xp tick and advises Rhino is being moved to prep A for re-deployment and cap.

Squad follows suit and re-deploys to Rhino, now at A after capping B and repeats the process.

LSM at least have an answer.

    Grav weapon + Multi-Melta.

Other factions not so much. In fact the Grav+Melta combo is so powerful I'm really surprised it's not a staple strategy. I've played my new LSM halfway to rank 5 already and I've not seen that once.

It's not as good as using Lascannons.
