I think it would be awesome if you could buy Voice Packs that are taunts or cheers. Example: "Blood for the Blood God! Skulls for the Skull Throne!" Voice Pack for a Chaos Space Marine.
Well, for that particular voice pack, I'd hope it was a standard pack that wasn't necessary to buy. But on the whole, yeah. I'd be cool with voice packs to purchase. I would like a set of say, two Standard packs to pick through to give some variety to even the people who arent comfortable with shelling out money.
1: There are already taunts in-game 2: Paying for a taunt people might not ever hear due to gunfire is silly 3: Who wants to buy words?
I could see myself paying RTP for a complete voice overhaul, different chants/taunts/orders/reactions to things in battle (being hurt, killing someone etc). However voice acting in itself isnt a cheap thing to do, hence such packs wouldnt be the cheapest of things to buy. Id have to see to what extent they would go with it and what price tag they would slap on it before i could be 100% sure. But id buy it if its within the boundaries of reason, especially if they put in that voice modulation they have been talking about too. warcries are already on the list for micro trancactions we will hear many warcries almost all the time cause ppl love turn use them (see chivalry) and don't u think that all stuff which can't be P2W aka cosmetics should be available in shop? all will get a free standard war cry for sure
I'm starting out as an Ork, so the Waagh better be included from day 1. I also totally expect to strain a finger from ramming that button.
1. Very basic taunts, yes. 2. Example. Your squadmates might hear it before jumping into a Landraider. 3. A lot of people would and for those that don't want to they don't have to. I don't think it would be that expensive for them to get a few voice actors to do a few snipets of speech and allow us to say purchase a new taunt on the Rogue Trader for 5-15k RTP. When you're charging into battle it would be great to hear different war cries, taunts and cheers. This would be one more layer to character customization that will allow you to stand out from the rest. It will add more depth to the experience. It almost sounds like money is one of the factors that makes some people against this kind of option. I would have no problem paying for something like this and it would be just one more thing that Behaviour could monetize that is not going to make the game pay to win because it is cosmetic. I want this game to be successful and I'm trying to come up with ideas so Behaviour can continue to monetize without making the game pay to win and for them to add more depth to it.
