Symmetrical scenario. Capture-points are neutral and uncapturable. No vehicles. Victory-conditions: The side with more executions wins. ------- I figure, this would be a nice "Recon-Mission": One faction infiltrates the map and the other faction is on patrol and both sides hunt each other. The execution would be the "interrogation" of a captive. A game-mode for lone-wolves, stalkers, hunters.
This would only work if the game was always going to be instanced fights, which it isn't, because this will be an MMO Shooter. They're only keeping it instanced for now while they test things and get everything else finished. And besides, lone-wolves don't do well in team based games :S
Actually it will be instanced for a decent amount of time, open world might only come years after launch. The tech that they thought they could use for open world failed spectacularly.
Any chance of linking me to where that was said officially? I had heard that was either be changed or delayed, but I haven't seen anything concrete yet. Either way, a lone-wolf style of game mode wouldn't really work very well when you have something that is very heavily team based like this
The other problem is that execution aren't attractive IMO. If downed players could only be killed with executions, it could be a start.
Am I missing something here? SPILL IT, FUCKER. Also, why does this gamemode remind me of that one Gears of War gamemode?
I wonder if there will be accessories/items that offer benefits from executions. Restore HP on execution, or all allied units nearby get a noticeable speed boost when a nearby enemy is executed could be pretty neat.
