Just make sure that there is sufficient variety and decent progression for f2p Orkz. Strategic advantage despite their poor 1v1 potential.
Orks won't be simple cannon fodder, they will have strength in numbers and as any TT player knows, they're extremely dangerous up close. In game swarm tactics are one of their few viable tactics, and will in turn create some epic 'against all odds' last stands for the other races.
If I go Orky, I'm gonna try to gather up boys and lead them into as many scraps as I can. Get 'em hooked on orkyness, and then when they sub, they'll keep bein' orky.
its awesome that the F2P ork idea is without a doubt the best thing they could do to stay true to the feel of the Warhammer universe but I feel bad for the other races . Don't get me wrong, I would LOVE to stomp on some twigies (hate the frecken Eldar) Along with my horde of boyz but wouldn't this cause a HUGE advantage for the orks. The only way this would work is if the boyz are either fairly shity (little bit better then guardsmen) or the other races are really powerful.
I think it's really awesome, we have a hierarchy that's completely unique from any of the other factions. We'll have clear designation of roles with paying players as nobs and F2Pers as boyz, and I'm really looking forward to seeing how that will play out. If nothing else it guarantees that the orks will be the rowdiest faction!
For me I'm most excited about being able to get any of my mates to just come and play using an f2p account but I'm buying
I am looking forward to it but am extremely interested in how they think they will pull this off... WAAAGH!!! I just hope Nobz aren't really underpowered - as I will be a Nob for sure!
