Oh, you haven't encountered any argument...so how about

You can't look at ork art style separately from other races coz they are supposed to create one coherent universe art wise and orks clearly stand out from that?

Being newborn and being childish are two different things, you mix it up all the time and refuse to admit it.
Some animals are newborn and ready to kill like orks but they don't LOOK childish. Childish is a wrong word coz it refers to humans world, orks are not humans although they are humanoids - that's a biiiiiig difference.

You have proven that you require to be told the same message several times so it successfully sinks in.

    Your.opinion.is.not.an.argument.

It is just an opinion. And like you have an opinion, I have a different opinion, and each individual has a different opinion, or that is alike, or that is the opposite, or many different variations of opinions that are opinions, but that doesn't make it fact nor argument.

The Orks that are in Warhammer 40k fit perfectly in it's Universe to me. I don't see the problem. Beyond opinions, there is nothing to discuss, about the points that could be discussed, such as

    • They are childish for no obvious reason. FALSE.
That I have explained and argumented. What matters is what I mean with it, and I mean they are "childish" because they are immature, just like children, thus the "childish", a word derived from "children.
You may not like the words, but they serve it's purpose, they express what I mean.

    They are completely related.

When you are a newborn you are:

    childish
Sense: Having qualities of a child

childlike immature babyish baby infantile juvenile puerile youthful green (specially the orks) soft kiddish naive young innocent

They are that in mentality, for they have just "been born".

    They are not:

    mature
    Sense: Adult
adult full-grown full-fledged developed prepared experienced seasoned

Because they have just come to existance, or have very recently. That is why they are childish.

I am a human writing among humans. I will use the human words for the human perception of it's meaning. What does it matter. It's just a word.

Orks are childish, that's their style (among many other things), and I am afraid you will have to deal with it.

They love flashy things, they like to brawl, and fight, which for them is like a really, really funny game, they like to go fast and jump and stomp and shout.

    Just like kids do.

And they won't change no matter how much you go into a tantrum.

Now enjoy a mix up of voices from games about the Orks, where they show how they really are.

    Kids playing at war.

Oh and about the main topic of the post, (sorry)

I'd like it exactly as Warhammer 40k is. Stylized.

I will use 'your technique' as you seem very immune to facts. And the facts are orks cannot be childish, why? because they don't have children, they don't understand maternity issues, they have never been hugged and nobody sang lullabies to them. And why? - coz such things are done only to HUMAN children. So tell me why should they behave like children? Maturity? There's no such word in orkish language, they come to world and they are ready to kill, what other kind of maturity would you expect of them? -high school certificate?

Understanding this concept that anything that is human should not apply to orks including their appearance and behaviour is just beyond you, so I will use simpler means to get the message through: picture.

Look, this is an ork boy. Does he look 'childish' to you. Does he look like a child waiting for a toy - he doesn't and that's what orks should look like -savage animals not childish shreks.

Look, you are literally giving the wrong interpretation to -everything- I have said so far.

I meant that their BEHAVIOUR is childish, not their looks... how on earth could you even think for a second I believed orks were "childish" in appearance as If they looked like human children... honestly... how could anyone get to that conclusion.

Anyway, it's clear, you don't understand any word I say, you give it a wrong interpretation constantly, so there is no use debating when there is no understanding to the most basic level, so our exchange of words ends here from my part.

No, no, no man. Don't play such tricks on me. From the beginning of this conversation i was talking about orks LOOKS - its artistic representation in WH40k universe fluff. I pointed that they looked too dumbass and cartoonish although all other races got much more darker - and this is part of the issue in this thread: stylized or realistic: do you even remember the topic of this thread? I was on point all the time saying I prefer them to look more realistic, like savage animals and you talked some rubbish about their childish behaviour, not my fault you didn't understand the topic.

orks can be childish all they want. you can make them look like a bad joke where you ask yourself how the hell they survived that long in the universe, or you can make them big dumb bloodthirsty brutes like something in the direction of the space marine game.

theyre still orks, but behaviour wise they fit in more than say, the orks from dawn of war or dawn of war 2, where in the campaign youre a freaking retro pirate ork...

Orks aren't based on kids or shrek, they're based on parodies of soccer hooligans. They speak in cockney accents, they have loud chants and they drive eachother into a frenzy while merrily seeking out and enjoying the violence around them.

I think they are one of the very best factions in 40K. They are funny, brutal and extremely violent all at once. One of the few factions that can actually smile and have fun just for the sake of it during the carnage of 40K. They offer up a nice contrast to the humourless and dour Space marines/Eldar/Tau/necrons/Tyranid/SoB etc

Guys, sorry, we're talking LOOKS here not behaviour or whom they parody.
