I think that was from Darksiders actually And the backflip might have been eldar or another darksider raw animation. surely it was not SM
Had high hopes with this game but if this game wasn't cancelled, today this forum and project couldn't exist due to GW old policies, so be tankful . The Lead writer Chris Pramas (also designer of Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay 2nd Edition, Awesome game and books!!) made a post telling some of his opinions about the project, interesting read http://savingyouthepain.tumblr.com/
We need it to be more grim. This is the 40k universe and i got to say just like some others fellas mentioned above that its kinda a WoW but refind.A little bit of cruelty and gruesome finishing moves needed and also a lot darker. For a general idea its ok but it needs some 40k refining.
We need to have executions like this View: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MszFH4cFpjo and this View: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vpDYLij_eKg
Gotta say, the animations are top-notch. It just isn't grimdark. It's actually pretty far from it. While i do find great relief that DMO never lived to see the light of day, its just sad that all of those assets went to waste. Not to mention, tons of talented people from Vigil Games lost their jobs. I found the Darksiders series great. The world and art-style was really awesome, not to mention the gameplay. I just don't know why they went with this route with DMO when Darksiders was far from this level of cartoony. Shame, it could have been great. Vigil just made poor choices that didn't fit with the 40k universe.
