I like it, looks like painted models. Game had so much potential but they messed it up and it got canceled >.<
While I don't disapprove of the graphics-style in general, those animations were, for the most part, quite bad. They were comically exaggarated.
I'd say such kind of animations would perfectly suit to a classic MMO RPG, which DMO was supposed to be. But for EC I would like to see a bit less of cartoony amusement, and more of a realism, as in Space Marine.. My dear Farseer, since when 'comically exaggerated' means 'quite bad'? The animations are very well done, it's just that you wouldn't like 40K to be like this, I suppose))
Hopefull this... thing has been cancelled. Not only I disliked those "for teen made" cartoony graphisms but the ambiance looked more like warhammer online than warhammer 40k. Can't wait to see what animations they had planned for dancing : orks dancing with chaos, yeah ! D: Stupid devs with their passion for wow clones... The Emperor protects us all.
Hah! Indeed. Besides, I am a friend of 40.000. That means I am quite fond of things being exaggerated (pauldrons anyone?) but, as you said, this is not the style I would wish to play in. Especially that what appeared to be a Dark-Angels Space Marine slaying that snake-creature with that ridicilous sword. My main problem with that was, I think, how athletic everyone looked. Performing a backflip in power-armour would be quite silly, no?
Ughh that did not look like anything that I wanted a warhammer 40k game to look like. To me it just looked too 'comical' for the grim dark future.
dat tango. but anyhoo, boy am i glad this got canned. though they were great animation, the game was so cartoony it's ridiculous.
thank god this died. this is the exact opposite of what 40k should look like... even though the idea with the tank commander was kinda cool. to be fair the animation quality is top notch, the animation style on the other side is the pure horror for a 40k fan.
