Our melee animation speeds cause us to lose most straight up melee engagements against decent players sadly.
You can't say "our" with me because I play on all faction (I'm almost lvl5 with orks btw). Orks's problem are their dbash, most harder to connect compare to eldar. Just because the charactere move forward during annimation. And i'm fully aware that there are other problems with orks's annimation. But their strong attacks are the most easiest to hit with from all factions, and with elektro axe there is a stun. I don't want a broken faction but a balanced game, i don't play (and againts) orks because of this since last patch. And yes, you can enjoy this as you wish, but when the community will get sick of it, don't expect anything else than a backfire. After eldar, orks will be the next whipping faction.
Actually eldar have the easiest strong attacks to land. Ork power attack is fast but it also has a shorter range than it previously did. The fast attack is also kind of a hit and miss as it doesnt seem to stop power attacks reliably (for me anyway) against the other factions. Btw I can say our as this is in the Ork section of the forums. I won't say our in the eldar or SM sections unless I had previously refered to orks in those areas. Most ork weapons still arent fully polished yet either. The clubba is a good example. That thing never seems to do anything unless the opponent is completely oblivious to my existance.
I'm actualy playing few games as orks... and i can't desagree more. Short fast attack rang is the best, even if your opponement evade you stay in range. With an eldar strong attack, if your opponement evade in a good direction you're totally screwed. With an ork you can chain fast attack and easily follow your target. Too bad my english is not good enough to explain my point of view, don't get me wrong but just try more in game you'll see what i'm trying to demonstrate. I just played few party as an orks, and I persist, it is a pure massacre. I can fight and win against 4 peoples, and certainly can't do that with other races.
This thread again? https://vid.me/dwem Electro choppa strong attack does not one shot through the front, and it certainly doesn't one shot through your guard. Even the git prod does not do this - which, in case you're wondering, there is a version of the electrified choppa (that looks exactly the same) called the Git Prod which does extra strong attack damage - and no, it doesn't oneshot from the front. Personally I prefer to use the basic choppa axe with a penetration and impact mod. 270 LP for a 110 penetration axe with + impact.
This is coming from the guy who told us to 'play nice like the other races' yea? Your opinion is sadly worth very little when you make such idiotic statements. Every faction has exploits and every faction uses them as much as possible to win games. Although personally I'm a Klaw player so I rarely use this supposed OP weapon.
Just read "Klaw" and I know how kind of "player" you are. I don't think you realy know how melee works "klaw player" And I don't say play "nice", but I understand your lack of real arguments.
Hey man..Klaw players go into a 3 counter system with only 2 counters to rely on. Don't get made because I make like Superman and then pistol shoot your face off. I'M JUST WORKIN WHAT DA GOOD GORK GAVE ME!
