Or, no Claw till post launch. :( Just like the Banshee Executioner and maybe singing spear.

That also means no Bitting Blade and no Chainsabers.

You are right, the since the Chainsabers are also dual-wielded, this is terrible :(
The Claw will most likely be ingame, but we might end up holding a Pistol or, well, nothing in the other hand.
They did say (at some point) that the Claw would work a bit differently than the Power Fist.

@Noromiz that in-game picture you're talking about, if it was going to be of Scorpions, just remember the NDA, wouldn't want you getting in trouble~

As for the claw, I assume they'll throw a Pistol in your free hand thinking about it similar to a Sorceror's powers or a Warlock's powers, you need to switch out of your Pistol in order to use the power AND if it's dual purpose you need to switch in and out of each purpose (unless they change it later on to recognise Allies/Enemies). For the claw this would be that you're switching between the claw itself, your other melee weapon, and the shuriken pistol in the claw to use them, which makes things fairly complex in my opinion. It'd be simpler adding a pistol to your free hand, but of course, when dual wielding melee comes out it'll be another matter entirely.

However! I imagine the devs will want to balance dual wielding by making you sacrifice your ranged capability, which doesn't really bode well for the Chainsword + Claw + Pistol combo.. Either that or it'll cost an epic amount of LP and you'll have to spawn as an 'Exarch' (read: Veteran) to be able to do it.

Ohh, I would just take a few random pictures from around the different maps, e.g. the tunnels under the Fortress or in the snow on Pegasus, so I could use those a backgrounds instead of a generic one from GIMP.
Though It wouldn't really matter much, since we already have the footage from the livestreams.

I think the easiest thing to do with the Claw is to just give us an open hand, then the normal fire would be from the Shuriken Catapult and the melee attack from the Claw, but I do wonder how good that would look.
Maybe they should give us the pistol in the main hand, and simply just let us swap between the Pistol and the Shuriken Catapult on the Claw. That would be the most logical solution.

Dota 2 has servers around the world, latency is still an issue in that game though, and it's very apparent and intrusive with your gameplay. TTK in Dota 2 can vary a lot depending on the hero and items, someone like Nyx can burst and kill you in under half a second if suitably equipped.

In EC case, if you increase TTK too high, you'll risk having fights become stalemate where ppl refuse to die no matter how many bullets you put into their bodies. Either way, TTK will be taken a look at and revised when itemzation system is fully implemented.

Not to mention when the other factions are implemented.

Under the current system, your level of stealth is affected by only 3 things: attacking, having someone physically near you, having someone's reticle near your character model. Even when sprinting the invisibility remained completely intact in the video. Staying crouched forces further Stealth so that you don't become even partially visible unless an enemy is right on top of you and looking directly at you, even if you are right out in the open.
    What current system gives:
    1. Crouch/take cover to go invisible. Remain invisible for x-seconds and become semi-visible if attacking, near an enemy or an enemy's reticle is near you.
    2. It makes Scorpion Sweeper a valid and required tactic to help reliably flush Scorpions out of their Stealth.

My system gives Scorpions numerous means of boosting Stealth to complete invisibility, knowing based on how transparent or not there character model is how likely their enemies are to see them, rather than just having to hope for the best and assume no one's reticle is over them automatically partially revealing them with no effort on the player's part other than moving their reticle.
    For example:
    Still/Crouch/Dark provides 45% Stealth
    Active Stealth/Conceal provides 50% Stealth
Cover could also provide a bonus from 15 to 45%.

If still and crouched, even out in the open, you'd have 90% Stealth. Moving crouched through the open with Active Stealth would be 95%. You could be in the open using Stealth with a Warlock's Conceal for 100% Stealth.
While still, crouched in the dark would be 100% Stealth, if an enemy had a light on their gun it would remove the dark bonus, dropping you to 90%.
Active Stealth would have a recharging resource that would be continually drained so long as Stealth is maintained.
Wargear upgrades could reduce Stealth consumption/increase recharge rate and Stealth boosts could be gained, such as increasing Still/Crouch/Dark/Cover boni by 5%.
With Cover added the system would give you 5 ways to personally boost your Stealth.

The Shuriken weapon on the Claw has the same range as the Pistol. The only difference is a higher Fire Rate.
In return for being a rather expensive upgrade, the player could fire the Claw's Shuriken weapon at any time as if it were the Pistol; however, because they would still have their Scorpion Chainsword, the player would manually switch between attacking with the Chainsword or the Claw.

Brent said in that same video that they are currently too invisible which is why it's hard to tell the difference between sprinting and crouching. But in the final version, sprinting will make you a lot more visible, so if you want to remain unseen you will have to crouch and move slowly, or not move at all.

The Devs have stated that there will be no dual-wielding until post launch, so you won't be able to have a Chainsword in one hand and a Scorpion's Claw in the other (except for Pistol).

I geuss you just run around flipping everyone the bird until later.

I had a thought on stealth. Will other eldar classes have lots of bright particle effects and wargear animations? I feel like if there is a large, bright, high pitched battle going on more players will have theirs eyes drawn towards that allowing stealthers more chance to sneak around the back or exploit tunnel vision to get to their targets.

I imagine something like that would also help the ork "stealth" class to do their job.
