What is with the store? I want to know if that armor on the damned legion is actually on fire in the game character model not just a drawing. Burning things in holy fire is an interest of mine.
In all honesty the store does not have anything that I want... Going to be DA until I get BT... At least will save a lot of points lol If they ruin this game I will personally start a crusade of wrath against behavior.
I was a bit taken a back by the prices until I remembered that this is the Rouge Trader store. We talked about this with Miguel months ago and the consensus was for very rare cool stuff that did not effect the game,(P2W). Now I am ok with it. Though I would like to see a drop in the founders store prices.
My personal thoughts: About the founder's packs , i like the first three , didnt pay attention to the more expensive ones cause i dont care about them. But it will all come down to how the points reflect to the quantity and quality of stuff you will get from the shop. Right now we know nothing and , admit it , we are buying expectations. I want to see a more in-depth view of what 92k points can get me before buying the pack. About the Heresy bolter deal , just no , never. A simplistic skin for the most common weapon in the game that costs almost as much as the game itself , seriously? And not to mention that you dont even know if you will ever use it in-game. About the heroes , the eldar and orks get awesome ones but the sm and CSM are underwhelming. The Possessed was a dream come true but a Fallen? Why? They are nothing more than any other chaos legion , infact , they are less. Oblis/Mutis would be so much better. Or anything else like a warpsmith , warp talons etc. The space marines get a damned legionaire which , as far as im concerned is just a different "special" chapter and a master of relics who as far as i can tell is a space marine with better gear. Boring , but i dont care because the Imperium sucks. About the RT shop , nothing interesting yet. There are items that we know nothing of , not even their in-game looks and whose descriptions sound like in-game benefits which sounds kinda fishy considering how they had the "it wont be a p2w game" as their flag. Also the Tzeentchian armor is Nurgle , both in design and description... The good side is that they said they will update the shop monthly so i guess it will get better. Overall , whenever i fell for the "buy it now cause it's rare and wont be around later" campaign i regretted it. Usually , as the game progresses the quality of purchasable content advances and better things pop up , leaving the "founder" items behind. You can show off how long you've been around but it wont be the shiniest bit available. I dont really care about that , i just want to have an avatar that looks good to me. So i will wait and buy what i like , not what is rare. Also , i am really concerned about those descriptions and the very big difference in prices only makes it worse. If they are both cosmetic skins , why does one armor cost 10k more? Especially for chaos , the khornate armor looks so much better and yet it's way cheaper. Suspicious. I will wait and see.
The storeprices are so high because of one thing. They are limited edition weapons and limited in amount being maximally sold to.
I might bite if those included the game, I mean the game might only last a year, but having to buy the game on top plus monthly fees, plus microtransactions, kinds of leaves me hesitant since Im guessing the cash shop will have better items day one to attract players.
Expensive cosmetics doesn't bother me at all. What bothers me is that on top of the B2P-formula they've added extra costs for heroes and other things that will affect gameplay. I understand that they need an extra cash revenue on top of the package itself to keep the servers going, but by looking at League of Legends and Dota 2 I can easily say that cosmetics will be more than enough. Honestly, I was actually going to buy the Captains package but the more I thought about B2Heroes the more uneasy I got, and settled with the standard Warriors-package.
I can already see it before me, 1player to 2player: so you bought that chainsword, which is a subtle nuance more green for 30€? Already makes me want to buy it..
