Stikky/Krakk Grenades

Should Krakk/Stikky grenades be stronger?

  1. Yes. A Krakk/Stikky bundle should equal a Melta bomb.

  2. Yes. A Krakk/Stikky bundle should be slightly less than a Melta bomb. (90-80%?)

  3. No. Krakk/Stikky grenades have too many advantages in flexible deployment over Melta bombs.

  4. No. Krakk/Stikky are too strong already.

    We JUST got the Devs to nerf the Krak Grenades because they were clearly overperforming, so they DO NOT need a buff in any kind of way.

    Remember that the Krak Grenades got far more utility in every way when compared to a Melta Bomb, and most importantly they cost significantly less, so unless they increase the price for each Krak Grenade to be slightly more than "half a Melta Bomb" (110 LP each) then they shouldn't get a damage buff.

    Krak Grenades:
    + Cheap (only 70 LP each)
    + Deals 1250 damage with high penetration
    + Easy to hit with
    + Sticks
    + Decent against Infantry (recently got the "fuse timer" reduced, making them even better against Infantry)
    + Decent against Vehicles
    - Small AoE

    Melta Bomb:
    + Deals 4000 damage with high penetration
    + Sticks
    + Good against Vehicles
    - Costly (200 LP each)
    - Relatively small AoE
    - Terrible against Infantry
    - Can be hard to hit with


    In any case, my Plasma Grenade still envy the Krak Grenade, but that is for another discussion as the Plasma Grenade is supposed to be a true "Utility Grenade" and a master of absolutely nothing :(
  2. Just add a three to four second set up time for Meltabomb = many problems solved.

    Yeah, you wouldn't be able to lose against Eldar if that happened, as they would have no way to take out vehicles anymore ^^
    Also, the Bundle of Krak Grenades would just become better than Melta Bombs again :(

    Not saying that the Eldar Anti-Tank Weapons (all three of them) doesn't need some reworking.

  4. Because nimble suicide bombers magically shitting out two tank destroying bombs in .5 seconds flat "on the fly" as they run a tank by is immersive and great for game play.

    Like I said, the whooping three Eldar Anti-Tank Weapons need some rework.
    Don't just ignore half my post :/

    Everyone agrees it is silly that Fire Dragons can do that, but a Tactical with a Melta/Grav Gun and a Melta Bomb can do the same against Eldar Vehicles to be fair, or well, they need a split second longer...
    It would really be nice if they had the manpower and time to rework the Eldar Vehicles and the AT options they got, so this could be fixed :(

    Note: the three Eldar Anti-Tank Weapons are the Reaper Launcher (Starshot), Fusion Gun and Melta Bomb.

    About melta bombs, I'd honestly wouldn't mind a setup time. It would more cripple other factions than Eldar since these don't have a reliable way to bring a vehicle to a full stop to let a Tactical strap a melta bomb to tanks.
    Eldar have a Haywire Hawk to perform that task. That would basically render a Haywire Hawk absolutely essential to a Burning wing formation.

    Slap the "Resupply" animation to this setup, give it 1.5 full second to set up 1 Melta bomb, and here you go. But the Krak grenade don't need anything more, it clearly doesn't need to be buffed.

    Give Scorpion Claw, or IEM grenades to Dire Avengers and I'll be delighted.
