Decent compromise, something like making threads like "Convince the Founders why your subfaction of choice is the right one". Sounds a bit pompous i know, but i guess its better than not letting the non-founders participate at all. And well due to the ability to overspam votings with dupe accounts and the like BE will probably keep it to Founders anyways.
Depends on who the founders are, they could be like me (super awesome and thoughtful) or complete douches. I for one would vote for a sub-faction that is the most popular amongst our community, just because i want to see this game succeed.
i think if only the founders can vote for the 5th ones then it is alright it would aviod mass account creation to push a vote and if someone pays 50-100$ for each vote then its fine to me since he invested so much money in EC then he deserves to have more power in voting (compare it with buying parts of a company, the more you have the more your opinion counts)
I wonder if they'll let us write in votes, or if it'll be multiple choice. I hate to admit it publicly, but I'm exactly the sort of person who'd vote for the Black Templars even if I knew it was a waste of my vote.
While this is an unfortunate reality we live in, there is still the possibility for the people you know to jump in as a founder later on! The current plan is to keep the founder's program going up until closed beta (whenever that happens to be - we don't know just yet, so save that question for a later time ).
Hmm, maybe the reason lies somewhere else. You know, there are some ppl who consider them...nazis, not me but I know there are some, so introducing them could be controversial.
Not neccessarily, like it or not there are many nazi lovers (which doesn't mean I'm saying that ppl who like BT are nazis ), various nazi paraphernalia from WW2 for instance cost quite a lot of money, some of these ppl could treat BT as their representation in space. I know it sounds crazy but I really know there are such guys . Computer games is a different story as it is a much 'wider' medium than some 'childish minis'.
Oh i know they exist (and can all go to hell). I was just not convinced that would be the case. Im sure its just another one of those GW stupid random rules, just like they didnt allow the devs to use "brother" in front of their names (i recall Miguel telling us that when he announced that the plushie idea was scrapped).
