Some of the buffs are what people in the game design world call "incomprables"

The RTC autocannon has a slight damage-over-time effect that I assume makes it better against vehicles (the DoT is supposed to be melta-type), and the RTC plasma cannon is described as being magazine-fed instead of using the overheat mechanic (though this currently isn't implemented)

That's not p2w or p2l. Though it is indeed weird and I'm not sure if it's better

As a Planetside player I gotta say Thumbs down for what was promised at launch. Il never buy into an Alpha ever again because of what happened here. :/

If they are aiming for the upscale soon il be here!

So your vision of honesty is that ppl post what you want to hear?

    There is no interpretation.

The game was mixed up until sept 21st
It jumped to mostly positive (not positive but mostly positive) on sept 22nd.
At the same time there were lots of threads asking for positive reviews and even nathan himself asked for it in the forum newsletter (the email one was cleverly edited to avoid the "please post" part)
It's back to mixed on setp 23rd barely a day after launch.

There was a positive manipulation (and by manipulation I mean it was provoked artificially by a sudden surge in people posting). And therefore wasn't viable on the long run.

Bth I was expecting mixed to come back alter but it seems a lot more ppl than expected are pissed.

Now interpret this as you like but you're not welcome to judge people for pointing out with your fan goggles.

Edit: trying to find the post with nathan but it seems to have magically disappeared. If someone sees it.
It was a big wall of text "the road to launch" type of thread

Edit2: Nvm found it, it was on steam, at the end of the update.

    It was inevitable.

The game simply is mediocre in all aspects.
    Its a solid 6/10.

Once non-hardcore 40k fans got their hands on the game, they could see it for what it is

Easy for you, who already have hundreds of hours under his belt. Of course you can get that weapon in 3 games. What about that new orc player? What about that new SM player? See now how narrow minded you truly are?

What i meant is, according to your argument, we are stuck at playing a specific role, not for the sake of fun, but for the sake of getting those req as fast as possible in order to not get pubstomped by paying players.

Well that isn't my interpretation of the game, it just appears to be the general/objective consensus. My opinion of the game is much more positive (but then I'm a realist and understand that it will take time to reach it's potential). Honestly I'm smart enough to make up my own mind about products. Just because many people dislike something that doesn't mean I will agree with their assessment (the opposite is also true).

With that said I believe that a 6/10 score at present is fair as there are mixed opinions on the game. A 6/10 equates to a good game, not a bad one. Also I never denied that there were threads asking for positive reviews, I simply pointed out that most of them were met with a negative reaction.

Many people waited until release to post their review. Both positive and negative. The positives obviously outweighed the negatives (at least initially) which explains the temporary bump to 'mostly positive' on Steam. The circle jerking that has taken place since from those who want the game to fail has ensured that this was short lived (by bumping their reviews to the top). But then it was always going to be given the contentious nature of the release date.

Edit: Also for those of you who seem to think that a 'mixed' status on Steam represents the death knell of a game there simply isn't any evidence to support that. To take just one example, H1Z1 KOTK has had 'mixed' for as long as I can remember and that hasn't prevented it's playerbase from consistently growing.

No one did, what the fuck are you talking about?

You think because devs ask for it, ppl are gonna do it? What are we? Sheeps? Also, how many do you think reading those newsletter? I doubt it's nowhere near enough to boost steam review rate.

Never said ppl where sheep. You just did.

I just put two facts together.

Sorry if you felt targeted by the comment.

There was a sudden influx of 'positive' reviews all of a sudden on ONE day but now they all got burried under an overwhelming number of negative ones.

Nope, I don't feel targeted at all. I'm just the kind of guy who gets offended by BS. Also, your statement has no facts to back it up.

That was the recent reviews, the boost in overall reviews was only about 2-3%, I wouldn't call that huge. The recent review rate is gone now so it's back to normal. Moreover, if you had actually read those reviews, you would have noticed that they looked like old reviews which had been posted back. I suspect there was something wrong with the Steam review system.
