Well you can join the community without joining the EC guild, the community was there before EC and will be there long after EC fades into history. And if you ever leave EPIC you would be more than welcome in the guild, I believe we have a Oceanic Fireteam don't we @Demetri_Dominov ?
You're welcome to invite them in too. And like I said before, if you stay in EPIC and it rejuvenates, that's fine too. Let me know if you need help. I won't name names, but I've worked with other kin in the past to help their own guild. If you need anything, lmk.
I've only ever played with one of them, I was picked up early the week before last after sniping the crap out of some marines and then mowing the rest down in the Serpent with the Cannons and Bull Bars
Completely from an Eldar perspective; We have not been given a fair shake at all compared to the other 3 factions, like at all. I would even say the devs view the Eldar as token and they are not favorable to them. I love this game a lot, but looking at and playing the other factions throughout Alpha and launch, it is clear to me that Eldar get little. Cosmetics So Marines have lots and lots of cosmetics, even for specific sub-factions. Eldar were introduced before Orks, but once cosmetics were introduced Eldar initially had nothing except maybe armor bumps for arms which quickly disappeared and to never appear again. Orks even have way more cosmetics than Eldar. To this day we barely have any, and a few classes don't have any at all. Even with this content update tomorrow, there is only one shrine headpiece for Eldar DA. I assure you there is plenty more for all other factions. The only real thing that I'm excited about tomorrows update is the increase slot loadouts. Then there is the issue of two classes that were omitted or broken right up until launch. Even after launch they still have some things broken that were that way from the begging, I'm looking at you hawkseers. Every faction is allowed one shot melee except Eldar. Even SS had his backstab nerfed not to be able to one shot in specific conditions. Then we have psychic powers. Chaos have 5 attack powers, Eldar have 1. Also that 1 Eldar has cost 300LP, where as Chaos is 150-250 at most, both of which are superior powers with side effects. Then Utility powers, Eldar have 4, Chaos have 4. Chaos targetting mechanics are superior are much smoother than Eldars. I remember in early Alpha that the devs said Warlocks and Sorcs are parrellels just as Apoth and Painboy are. But clearly Chaos has been given all the attention in this department. It just comes across as a lot of favortism. Lastly, the part that has really tried the players conviction to Eldar, which is the major hate train that showed up like the exterminatus and annihilated all but the strongest willed Eldar, hence why we are very few, like hard to find a half a war party size and long queues, and to the other we are a myth in the queue. This hate train has been so brutal and attacking Eldar players solely for playing the game and their favored faction. It's a bigot attitude to blame the player base en-mass for something that they had no control over. I do not harbor any grudges against the devs or game, but just stating how I see things from an Eldar's point of view only.
Could not agree more. Its sad to see the hate we get for daring to play a non-Space Marine faction...
Also, I opened the war map and what I saw didn't surprise me. The Eldar had four territories left against SM, and three against CSM. Orks had only taken one territory, but it was the one that started out contested, so it wasn't really anyone's from the start.
just played a game of fortress as the defenders and watched the plasma cannon/JPA spam... its evil and we cant counter it with swords when they do the shock arrival crap BUT wow did we gun them down!!!
