State of the Crusade - 2018

Discussion in 'General Discussion' started by Oveur, Jan 18, 2018.

  1. You can nay say all you want. I talk to the devs on Skype *Yes some people still use it* most weekdays which tells me that they are still actively working on the game. This State of the Crusade could have said the game was coming to an end so I still have hope.

  2. Thank you.
  3. First off, as a Watch Chaplain for WCA let me be the first to say if you felt that we brutalized you or your friend, our doors are open and we will not only welcome you along in our war parties and activities we'll show you how we did it and how you can do it, to. From there you can hang with us or go your own way, as you both see fit. I'm sure our Watch Masters and Captains would express the same sentiment. We also happen to be HUGE 40k fans and would love to geek out with more people. So if you're willing, please take that as my PERSONAL apology and invitation to come run with us.

I agree we don't do enough for Pick-up Players (as opposed to Lone Wolves, the guys/gals/fungi who INSIST on going it alone in a team-based shooter.) PM me here, on the Steam group in my sig file, or on virtually any Discord connected to EC, and we can talk about ways to better help the players who aren't in a guild. I want to talk about that.

I think this is really the only answer to helping noob players out. Us vets have to put ourselves out there much more often and show them the ways of the Bolter/shuriken/shoota porn.
  5. Only problem I can see with this is people that are. It part of a guild not playing at this time due to being wrecked constantly be guilds. If possible I think it might help to limit guild stacks to 5 team members.

    I still don't understand this...

Oki, how many of them is there, what are their names and roles in the team? Its not secret society but business company.
  7. Not the only answer. A better tutorial that puts them through examples of gameplay is what it needs. For example, to teach how to capture a point there'd be a capture point and a few Tyranids using the AI from PvE. They'd be a tactical or equivalent and would kill the Tyranids and cap the point at which point, the game would take away their ammo to show them the result crate things.
This is in my opinion by far the best way that new players could be taught the game.
  8. What's the point... Why even say that. Just unnecessary.
  9. Truth hurts? This State of the Crusade was unneccesary.

We were talking about this idea in guild chat today. Something needs to be implemented so we can have new players not feel completely lost, and maybe even a system so it’s more obvious who higher rank players are, so they can ask for advice/auto group up with them.
