I continue to pass by here to rubberneck at this fascinating moving train wreck of a game

I've a "Free Carnage" key sitting in my inbox that I have no interest or intention of ever activating. This is due to bE's incompetent development and disingenuous marketing. Which most sane people that have followed this game are rightfully pissed off about

I'll carry on lurking on this forum and posting whenever I damn well feel like it (which is very rarely these days). As long as this entertaining train wreck continues to slowly limp along to its imminent Abandonware destination. And blind fanboys like yourself keep up the incredibly asinine posts, which never ceases to give me a good chuckle

I've been watching EC since it was announced. Not buying into the hype, and at the time having no spare money anyway, I didn't invest. I thought several of the ideas were unlikely to happen but I have enjoyed watching the progress of EC. I think in the short time this game has been in development that it has come a long way! So to my surprise last week I'm browsing my gaming email and find out that EC has gone F2P, YES! I am always skeptical of putting money down without first having some experience playing a game (Altough videos are good, they aren't good enough). I knew about the communities rather salty attitude so I didn't know what to expect.

But I didn't expect to have such a fun time running around in a Waaagggh! I thought $20 for this game? For sure. Now it does feel like it was forced to release a year too early but for the cost this is something I'm going to really enjoy over the coming years. I'll leave the suggestions to the long term players. They seem to have a good idea of what's good and what's not for the game.

Yeah i've received the newsletter. But still no code.
Last newsletter was saying that they were sending in some keys and but that no one had them yet.

I guess they just don't love me enough....

To describe EC's major changes.

bE: "Hey guys, we're gonna use this brand-new tech to make the most amazing WH40k MMO shooter ever!"
Fans: "Awesome!"

bE: "Hey guys, turns out that tech is out of our price range, but we're gonna make something as good as Planetside 2! Here's the plan!"
Fans: "Well, sucks about the tech, but sure!"

bE: "Okay, so that plan didn't work out, sorry we wasted all that time and money, we're gonna try something more realistic now."
Fans: "Okay! Looking forward to actually getting a functional game!"

bE: "Hey guys, since you all want to support the game, we're gonna let you spend hundreds of dollars to help fund it to make it awesome!"
Fans: "Okay! I love the idea and want to help it succeed, so sure, take my money!"

bE: "Hey guys, we're gonna scale back the launch schedule. The open world won't be in by launch, but we're gonna have tons of individual maps and we'll weave them together over the next year!"
Fans: "At least it'll get there eventually!"

bE: "Don't worry, Eldar and Ork fans, we're just making sure the basic combat system works before we add your stuff in!"
Eldar/Ork fans: "Well, okay, I guess! You're gonna make em unique, right, and not just restatted Space Marines?"
bE: "You bet!"

bE: "Don't worry, we just had to tweak tons of Eldar cosmetics shortly before launch, they'll be out soon!"
Eldar fans: "Kind of a dick move, but we trust you!"

bE: "Don't worry, we don't have an open world or anything beyond a lobby shooter, but we painted these polygons on a texture and called it a map so it still counts!"
Fans: "That's totally true! Technicalities count!"

bE: "So yeah, the game's launching in beta now, but don't worry!"
Fans: "It'll be good some day!"

Because I've been a WH40k fan since 2001 and got into following EC's development in the first couple of months from its announcement, and my suggestion for EC is, "Just put it down already, can't you see it's terminal and you're just dragging out its death pointlessly?"
