? Melee is completely broken? evade just plain dosent work, nothing is consistent. Before at least there was some hope, now? my god. And yeah, Dbash is totally broken, no point in using it, by the time its fired off your already dead, best to keep moving, if you stay still for less than 0.001 seconds your dead.
D.Bash has become TOTALLY useless even for ranged. The best thing to avoid melee is now to rolls... In patch 16, at least, well played, a ranged could kill a melee. Now..... it is just plain evade and the animation of D.Bash is so slow that raptor backstab are way too easy to performed !
I had no idea that backstabs were a thing in melee. Are we going for the Dark Souls melee style here?
Melee is broken even more now then it was before. Melee players seems right now to me more like a Tyranid Swarm than emperor's soldiers. Bunch of them get inside and hack-and-slash everything shrugging off ranged fire. Mindlessly and randomly, and you cann't stop them with fire. I feel like a bloody imperial guardsman and my bolter feels like a bloody flashlight.
Cmon, be realistic, stunlock was never advantage for melee. The ranged are the only ones who received clear advantage from it. Melee may be nerfed cause heavy was made obsolete. But backstabs work and swords stuck you inside attack spam so its kinda fine now. Just less actual options available for melee when ranged just can't do what he was always doing before.
Improved, sure. Are the maps spammed with lighting effects every square meter and is it annoying as hell? yes.
Good ping + spam fast attack + roll = win (80% of the time). - The Powerfist just good for the trash (in comparison Patch 16). I stopped using it. - I use the chainsword and spam fast attack like a robot (youhouuu). - Saw the result a EU server is mandatory. - Lot of bugs with the sounds effects. - Cap with MoN, it helps a lot ^^. Can't wait the patch 18 (with anything other than that).
Yeah, Jump Pack Assaults (JPA) & Raptors USED to be able to Melee lock on to a target having magnetically locked on to them and swooped in from on high with a leading quick attack, then use a fuel cell to boost evade around in a circle to either left or right to launch a couple of quick attacks in the back (called 'circle backstab'). A graceful dance of death has now become extreme derp without measure. Now? the stratagy is madly jumping around at a furious pace barely looking where your going because if your still for less than the time it takes to move to a new position your already dead. Other classes could do this with less finesse than jump pack assault, just ground based.
