Incoming! Name: Veskander Rai Breed: Technomancer Gender: Male Looks: Broad shoulders, Long black hair, green eyes. Personality: Passionate, Quick to anger, prone to mood swings History: Vesk is a self taught technomancer. Growing up alone he had to make a living somehow. His affinity with all things electronically blossomed in that time. Having not much of an education nor much of an upbringing Vesk wandered from place to place. Expanding his knowledge and buried technomancer power deep inside him. Eventually he was noticed. He was not a prime candidate but they took him in anyway. At the academy he learned more about his power and eventuall he helped constructing whipcord. FRAME Details: Type: Bulwark Name: Whipcord Looks: A bulky green machine. It looks old and battered. But looks deceive. Behind the old interior lies a wealth of technology. Veskander likes to keep the looks old out of a longstanding passion for anything old. Weapons and systems: A huge shield on his left hand. With a strong force field. The polarity can be reversed to fling objects away with a huge force A huge whip is in his left hand. Capable of making lightning fast attacks. Electricity crackling over the links. Technomancer hood. A hood that allows him to use his skills to the fullest. It does not negates the fatigue. Signature: By influencing the power supply in his frame Vesk can suddenly add an inmense burst of power to his propulsion system. Making whipcord shoot forward and backwards with extreme speed for a short while.
@Vikingvesk @WanderingJester @Xanxas ( @Shadhunter @Xaphen @Vulpas If you're joining) Hey guys, we now have 3 players, so I am going to start planning the RP's start. So far, with the ratio of New VS. Returning, (2:1 so far) I am planning on starting where the last RP left off, introducing the New Players and Veterans at the same time. I realize that this may cause issues with power in the beginning, which is why I would allow the New players better upgrades in order to get it even. Also, story-wise, I have a plan for expanding both parties story at the same time. Not perfect, but I know what I am going to do. As always, I'd apperciate hearing your thoughts on the matter. Will this plan work for you? Unless I get a resounding no, I will begin with the beginning post later today, allowing @Shadhunter @Xaphen @Vulpas time To respond and join. Also, If I could get @WanderingJester @Xanxas to post their sheets now, that'd be great.
OOC: No thanks, I am just sitting around plotting. plus I have some real life stuff happening right now that won't give me time for stuff like this.
Name: Loran Kelley Breed: Human Gender: Male Looks: Loran Kelley was slightly above average height, with a fit physique. He has blue eyes and pitch black hair (typical side character in an anime length, since the UTC military's a bit more lax with hair here than in RL). He's actually considered pretty handsome by many, though he doesn't actually notice about that himself since he's detached from anything that doesn't have to do with his FRAME or his military duties. Personality: He had graduate valedictorian from his class at the UTC military Rider Academy from Terra, and had fought in two campaigns with an impressive record. Despite his achievements, he was only 23. Very militaristic and straight forward, Kelley's weakness is that he doesn't really connect with other people on a personal level. However, this focus has made him an extremely competent FRAME Rider. His mental and physical conditions have been altered (to what degree even he doesn't know) by his Fate's Edge, and is continued to be alter. Currently has a confusing relationship with Morain Dereso. SOUL Details: Veronica is a young woman in full military attire. Her blond hair is done up in a bun with a few strains hanging in front of her right eye together. She has a quite pretty hologram for a SOUL, though it may seem at first she takes after Kelley, she ironically shows connects more on a personal level with interactions with other people and SOUL than Kelley does most of the time. Veronica does have a strange crush like feeling for her Rider, though he's so preoccupy with his FRAME during his time with her that he never really notices. This has cause her to be condescending and sarcastic when an actual physical female whom she deems pretty is around Kelley, but only to the female(s) in question. Has come to be more comfortable around other female presence due to her "sisterhood" with Morain Dereso. FRAME Name: Fate's Edge. Weapons: Whip sword with two modes on top of the right forearm (Straight and Whip), detachable beam sword on top of the left forearm with two modes (Normal and Overcharge for shield killing). Laser cutter around the body (Signature). Equipment: Harpoon attachment on back, advanced compatibility rider system (Zodiac System). Description (non-statistic): Kelley has remodeled his new FRAME in memory of Void Riptide, with the help of old robotics, weapons and shielding engineering friends, as well as his old classmates which are now the top theoretical physicist in the UTC. Rebuilt with entirely new list of materials specifically superior to the Riptide, the Fate's Edge is made with the intention of being stronger, faster, lighter, more durable and more responsive a FRAME in its conception than Void Riptide can ever hope to become at its prime. It is the ultimate FRAME of war, but it has one weakness: it's rider is human. While the full capabilities unlocked, Fate's Edge can annihilate armies without taking a scratch. Its weapons can bisect a planet and its shields can take a direct blast from a battle station's main cannon without taking any significant damage. The problem is that many of the greatest scientific minds in the UTC sphere that have been shown this blueprint by top executives and Kelley himself have agreed that no human being can ever hope to unlock all the potentials of Fate's Edge completely. This is due to two factors of the rider affected by the Zodiac System, the physical and the psychological. The Zodiac System links the rider near perfectly (99.9999%) with the FRAME, down to the nearly every last neuron. This is an unprecedented threshold that have never been crossed by any FRAME engineer during this era. The reasoning is this, everytime a strike lands on a FRAME in combat, a fraction of the damaged is transferred to the rider. How much depends on how connected the rider is to the FRAME itself. The normal suggested level is around 70-80%, with the high end specialized FRAMEs hovering around the low 90%. This is so that the body won't think of a limb is dismembered when the FRAME's limb is dismembered, allowing the rider to survive (albeit shaken up) the battle so long as the rider's chamber is intact and his body is not destroyed. The Zodiac System forgo this safety net, allowing the rider to feel nearly every ounce of pain with every strike delivered by the enemy. If the FRAME loses a leg, the rider's body will automatically cut blood flowing to the leg as though its been dismembered even if it is healthy and intact. That's not to mention the sheer amount of physical strain put on the body during some of Fate's Edge extreme combat maneuvers. The second is the psychological impact of the system. The Zodiac system is designed to eliminate anything and everything that does not have to do with the combat at hand for the rider. That means every last memory not related to combat or warfare, every last scrap of knowledge may be forcefully discarded depending on how bad the situations within the combat zone is like. The more the rider allows the system to take over, the more he may temporarily tap into excess power of Fate's Edge. However the more of himself/herself will be lost in the process, including recognition skills, self control, and memory loss to say the least. The Astropath System, a prototype system of the Zodiac, when tested, resulted in hallucination, delusion, shaking of hands, hemorrhaging and aneurysms. While less than 10% of test subjects have been killed directly by the Astropath system, around 50% of the time the test subjects in simulation have continued fighting after the battle is over, attacking allied units because they could not tell the friend from foe anymore. In the words of the head of the UTC science institute at a classified meeting "The Zodiac System is not built for humans, it is a weapon of God we mortals have stolen from heaven." Nonetheless Kelley used his connections to obtain multiple incomplete pieces of the schematics to a whole and have installed it into his FRAME.
Name: Kyras Tyran Breed: Anthromorph (Am I the only one who sees how useful this could be?) platypus. He has short claws and a backwards facing poisoned barb on the top of each hand as well as webbing between each finger (this is the important stuff). His hair is very pointy and sharp like said creatures and runs down his spine, and he has incredibly hard teeth which are all incisors, like the beak and teeth of said creature (this part is cosmetic mostly, to give a feel of "more than just clawed person"). He also has the electroreception which is both good and bad, as he can sense living things/electricity, but if they are insulated he can't and excessive electricity areas (like a power plant) or electrical attacks (like emp) either hurt or I capitate him depending on their power Gender: Male Looks: Rather Tall, at 6'5 he towers over nearly everyone. He has turned his hair purple with white streaks, and wears a white T-shirt and cargo pants, a purple hat with a blade like horn on it, purple hooflike boots, and a purple jacket with an odd version of the Ourboris dragon that looks kinda like a work (LE Tyranid symbol) as a tribute to his favourite band, leviathan. He also has four upward pointing spikes on the front of his vest, and they are red. He has a set of scars across his face that look like something scratched him, and is missing an eye. This has led to some of his former classmates jokingly calling him "old one eye". His hair reaches his mid back, and looks like someone tried to cut it with a knife (he did) Personality: A rather friendly man, but not one without many flaws. He has a rather simple worldview, you are either his friend or not. If you are his friend, he loves ya to death. He will completely ignore your personal space, and give you as many hugs as he damn well pleases. He may or may not skip off singing friends friends friends~ This can be an issue because if he thinks you are his friend than you are, regardless of your feelings in the matter. He dislikes anyone who is not his friend, and if you are not his friend hard enough, he may make you his "special friend". He also has a habit of "permanently borrowing without permission" which endears him to no one. He will however share his stuff without any questions, as that's just what a good friend would do. He is always smiling, which can be an issue as it leads to people having trouble reading his emotions, though he does on occasion pout. He loves swimming and his favorite food is fish. He has a strange hatred of elves. History: Always been considered a bit...odd, it was no surprise to anyone when his parents grew sick of him and shipped him off to the military academy "to be useful". What was surprising was how he not only survived but thrived there. He continued befriending people, sometimes by force, and quickly became the bane of administrators everywhere as they tried to valence the budget rocked by things that had been borrowed by Kyras. The fact that he was an ace, along with the fact they had no proof, led to them not being able to punish him. They did however send him on increasingly difficult missions until the fateful one that claimed his teams life. The administrator responsible was fired, but Kyras was still left without a team, leading to his redeployment here. FRAME Details: PRAETORIAN is the destroyer FRAME of Kyras, and it is an odd one. It is colored mainly black and blue this time. It's very bulky, with a head that has sixteen glowing blue eyes and is a block that slopes upwards into spikes. Its chest is large as to hold all the missiles, and its arms have (ornamental) spikes along the length. There are interlappping plates everywhere and the feet are clawed and have wheels. There are blue glowing lines all over the place. Its side armaments consist of a large claw which he calls and obliterator claw, an underslung flamer on the claw hand, and chest missiles. Its main armament is his left arm (the non claw one), which is a canon, a very large one. He refers to it as the "Super special mega befriender canon" and instead of adding on weapons (actually I still might) I intend instead to upgrade said canon. It has a rapid fire mode and a slower, but more powerful mode. It fires blue energy blasts. SOUL Details: His soul, also known as "his super awesome bestest friend ever" is named Obyron. He looks: Like a mini version of the PRAETORIAN, updating itself as it changes. Level headed and practical, it is often exasperated by Kyras's antics. Basically assigned by high command to act as the befrienders minder. He often tries to convince Kyras to do things logically to mixed results. More often than not is the one to actually create the battleplan for the two.
So what do these Frames look like can you give me a close example of what they would look like? I was thinking they would either look like something from battletech or gundams?
