"No! No! You're mine! I won't share you with her, or anyone else! I love you Loren. Now... how much do you love me..?" Seeing her reaction, Kelley was both a bit startled and pleased. He patted her head until Morain got up and began to seduce him with her posture and actions. The rider grinned and quickly got the message. The clothes came off as fast as the lights, and the two went at each other on the bed. (Some rewards later) Kelley sighed contently. They had both tried new things last night, which while very pleasurable left Morain pretty tired and him pretty hungry. One of his arms held Morain to him while they were both covered by the sheets on the bed while the other traced her body. He then put on an ear piece, and flick on the news on the screen in front of the bed, watching to catch up on events around the galaxy while still snuggled skin to skin with the lovely girl.
Kyras closed his eyes and thought and sighed. He felt as if this mission had aged him a decade. He tried to move his arms, but they merely twitched weakly. It would take some time to regain his former strength. This mission though...it was the closest he had come to death in countless years. He could hardly believe it, so much lost in mere minutes, people he had spent so long fighting besides dying to such noskilled SCUM. For the first time since he had lost his team he felt an emotion besides happiness or boredom. He felt pure, unadulterated rage. He hated the circumstances that had cost him his team. He hated his arms for failing him. He hated the enemy for the sin of existing. But most of all, he hated himself for being to weak to stop this stuff from happening. So, as he leaned up and draped his unresponsive arms over his closest persons shoulders, he cried.
< @Xanxas > Yalei simply took her arms, hugging Kyras back. "There there, sweet. It's over now. I'm here." She tried her best to soothe him, patting his back. Motherhood would suit her well. She would hold him for as long as he would need to cry out the pain.
It was Connor's turn to be flustered. He had not expected such a...well private environment. With other people around he could probably have communicated effectively, but now...well now he was liable to embarass himself worse than she had earlier. He took the offered seat and looked around. "Not particularly, I've been eating in my frame for about a week now, so anything other than FS-Rations is good with me. This is a nice quiet spot you have here, I've never been much good at cooking unfortunately. Now those mini-slip propulsion thrusters? If you need a test FRAME for those let me know, with the amount of space the power coupling took up in the chassis, there was little room for good inertial dampeners, so the Hog's maneuverability is crap. So how long have you been working as a mechanic?" Good, keep the conversation on things you know up...don't attempt to compliment her that never goes well...dammit, I need more friends, I'm starting to think like Skye.
A while later, after his sobbing was spent, he called his Spyder and rode it like a wheel chair. He didn't trust his limbs yet. He collected Fredrick the SCARAB and brought everyone down to the dining hall. He flipped through the schemetics of his FRAME and started drafting upgrade ideas, and while munching on the foods, looked at Yalei and asked "so my mission was terrible, how did yours go?"
"I could Use a drink after that Defiantly Lossed enough liquids from how hot It got in my cockpit" She said with a smile to Crow. "Lets head out and see if we can find some drinks friend."Sentinel said as she wen't off with crow to see if they could find some Alcohol. "So Crow how Are you after the battle didn't get to roughed up down there did ya?" she said as they walked with a smile.
< @Xanxas > "It went... better than yours, I suppose. But... I am scared, Kyras. I cannot keep going on missions. Not when I am pregnant. But I don't want to leave you out there alone. I don't know what to do, Kyras." She told him, twiddling her fingers as she ate some fried fish. < @WanderingJester > The news wasn't good. But not necessarily bad. Not much had really changed, UTC was still holding their positions in their territories, and it seemed that the Splinter was doing the same. As if everyone was waiting for something. The attack on earth had caused some stirrings in the outlying colonies, but nothing major yet, it seemed. A small vibration from his data-slate meant Kelley had received a V-mail. 'Dear Mr Kelley and Ms. Desero, This is a courtesy message from the UTC high command. Your tours of duty will be over in *8 Months*. Your combined duty packages equal *a level 10 abode package*. We wish you the best. UTC High Command' < @MetalDog4 > "I've always been a mechanic" Kylie told Connor. "I guess was born into it. One of the biggest providers of custom FRAMEs, 'Razea Solutions'." She goes to the fridge, which seems to work as a replicator, and pulls out a few crabs. "I get my mechanical mind from my father, my mechanical skills from my mother." She says, chopping some garlic and placing it in a pot of melting butter. I'd be happy if you'd help me with my testing, we just have to find some kind of gravitational shielding." Soon enough, after more monologuing, she places a platter of crab legs with a side of garlic butter. Sitting down, she waits for Connor to take the first bite. "Well? What do you think?" < @Vulpas > "No, Sentinel. I... am fine. I remember there being a bar somewhere around here... there! Wait here, I'll get us some drinks." Crow says, walking into the bar. Sure enough, he did. Quite a few. Two whole six-packs. "I thought we could do some celebrating." He says simply, leading Sentinel to an observation deck.
The crabs smelled delicious, and he grown up visiting family who had lived by the sea, so the ability to pick a crab was something ingrained in him from birth. He began to peel apart the crap in an expert manner, using nothing but his fork and knife, and pulling the meat out from one leg, he swallowed. It was delicious. "Kylei, I spent a decent chunk of my life eating crab prepared by my family, but this is some of the best I've ever had. Truly you are a woman after my own heart." He ate a couple more, enjoying the flavors before continuing the conversation. "I think we can definitely figure out the gravitational shielding problem, it might take a couple of late nights, but it shouldn't be an issue to do that at all."
Kelley read the message, and smiled. Perhaps it would be appropriate for him to make his move soon with Morain. With that in mind he tucked the message away and began browsing for something online. After a moment he found what he was looking for. Placing an order down, he put the digi-slate away with the windows closed down and went back to watching the same old news, while subconsciously rubbing Morain's shoulder as she slept.
Kyras smiled and put his hand over hers. "Its fine. You have other people to worry about now besides me. I managed before you were with me, and I'll just have to do so again. The real question is what youll do all day" he said with a laugh. His eyes hardened "I know it isn't the safest, but ill try my best to come back to you. Its all I can do really"
