  1. OOC: Im back from the land without internets ._.' It was horrible

Kyras SEETHED as one of his prized canopteks fell to these fools. Not that he could do much about it with the monstrous enemy besieging him. He was a large man, towering over almost the entire crew, and capable of throwing most humans a fair distance. But the butcher in front of him had muscles that were thicker than some of his comrades torso's. He was running out of room for his slow retreat, until he finally hit the wall. The enemy, no, CREATURE smiled, and swung down with a mighty cleave that would have split him in two. He jumped upwards and landed one the blade, then proceeding to vault over the abomination and leap at the newer, likely moar dangerous opponents. He Brought his Hyperphase blade down with a keening howl, more or less erasing the mans head from existence. Still crouching upon the headless corpse of his victim, he swiped his sword and took the life of another of his foes. They were not inclined to simply stand around as their comrades perished however, and Kyras soon found himself painfully dislodged from his perch via pointy object. He hit the ground rolling, and slammed into the wall with quite a bit of force. Their was a giant gash along his previously uninhured arm, and the injured one was bent completely the wrong way. Hurt QUITE a bit it did. Down both arms, he was forced to clutch his blade in his teeth, as he slowly staggered to his feet. This was not going well for him at all...

Ioren and Yalei take position at the point of the formation, using their shields to block the flak fire even as they pushed forward.

"Pulling back would be detrimental to our mission. The StarRunner can hold out, I am sure." Ioren's voice spat over comms, even though he also sounded worried. The fire provided by Sentinel and Crow managed to disable one of the engines, and then a second, slowing the ship down to half speed.

Which was all that was needed. Veronica's analysis was impeccable, as usual, and with the loss of speed, Kelley was able to pirece through the hull, impaling the ship and its gun deck. Pain coursed through his body from the intense heat caused by exploding ammunition, washing off as he broke through the opposite wall.

Energy readings suddenly surged, as the destroyer began a jump to slip-space. One of the first things ever taught in the academy was that Being in close proximity to a jumping vessel in a very, very, bad idea. And Ioren, while not taught in the academy, was not stupid.

"Everyone! Get clear!" He roared, even as he, Yalei and Crow begin a dash towards the StarRunner.

"This is Commander Yilli of the StarRunner. Please transmit UTC ID codes. And thanks for the help. We've lost shields and fire control. We have ten riders out on-mission. In short... we are not doing too well. Our troopers are depleted. You're on your own for now... sorry."

At the same time, two of the corvettes spin around, and fired a salvo of missiles each, the four forward light cannons firing in sequnce, even as the third flew behind the supercarrier, peppering the hull with fire as it went.

Sergeant Gorgon took Kyras by the shoulder. "No. Run." He whispers, before yelling to Dunni: "Rider Hushion! Take rider Tyran and move out!"

Dunni rushed over, and with his servo-enhanced strength, tries to pick Kyras up while scattering the other heavies with his gatling guns. "Can you walk?"

Kelley didn't even feel the burns at seared at him as Destiny's End ripped through the destroyer, the ammo storage erupting and blowing a good chunk of the enemy ship off. All he thought about was preventing them from escaping. If the woman he loved was dead, and so help him these bastard would die too. So when Ioren yelled for everyone to evade as the ship prepped itself for jump into slip-space.

Destiny's End armed a charge at the same velocity and impact as last 'time, but this time aiming for the jump drive on the ship as well as the engines. Kelley would take out all the thruster available to the enemy in one stroke, killing the ship by making it dead in the void. Veronica's worried voice came over the inner FRAME comms.

"Mr. Kelley. That course of action will most likely result in a neuro over blast in your brain." The rider gave her a glance.

"Veronica." Destiny's End blasted off towards the destroyer. "Never tell me the odds."

OOC: RESULTS: Attempted to intercept and disable the destroyer's slip-space ability as well as its engines before it jumps.

As Sentinel Tried to fire her jump jets she noticed something. two out of five were damaged and off line the others damaged and she would be reduced at half speed barly enough to even get out of there, She needed to find a way to to propell herself out before the destroyer jump jetted off.

A plan quickly formed in her head to use her weapons to propel herself backwards with her jump jets might just get her out of there in time. As she began adjusting she noticed a ally Frame instead of retreating Charging towards the destroyer it was Kelley she knew little of the pilot except he was piloting a frame that went on a killing spree during the Invasion of earth. "Well If hes going to try and give them broken legs I might as well help him out with my own guns as I leave." Frost Patch me through the to the pilot leading the charge. Ask him for targeting solution on the jump drive." She said as her Frame Turned around and began using its jump jets to send the hell hound back all weapons began looking for there target the jump drive. "Pilot If you need some support Fire I can send some your way As I leave, My jump jets Are damaged and I am going to use my weapons to propel my self out Send me a target So I can give you a bit of a Assist." Sentinel said with a smile on her face. "Foster get us moving backwards and weapons all aimed on the cruiser Jump drive and engines. Lets give them a scar as we leave."

OOC Results going to try to get a firing solution From kellely on the jump drive and fire all my weapons to help propel me out backwards with the rest of my working jump jets to get out of range.

Kelley was almost to the destroyer when this came on the comms. He give the screen a quick glance.

"Take out their shield if you can. If not, then just get out of jump range. It'll get messy if I time this wrong."

  6. Kyras winced. He could walk, but barely. He called over his Spyder instead and sat upon it, just behind the gun port. Casting one last look at the desperate melee, he and his Spyder departed, leaving his scarabs and wraith to what would likely be their doom and a trail of slowly clotting blood behind.

  7. "Skye, if you would not mind transmitting those codes, looks like I'm gonna be a little busy."

The rotary guns spun up and began shooting a wall of lead at them as the Rail Cannon shot 3 more high armor penetration rounds towards one of the corvettes that had opened fire on him. Crackling energy sparked across the shield as he brought it round to interpose its bulk between him and the missiles as his jets activated as he shot forward with a surprising amount of acceleration for a mech as big as the Warthog.

"SkyRunner, my SOUL is sending you the coordinates, don't worry about offering the support, long-range fire support is what the Warthog is designed for."

OOC: Results, the miniguns are targetting the incoming missiles, those that make it through the bullets should impact against the shield. Three high-velocity armor piecing rounds are flying towards one of the corvettes.

"got it Kelley Will give you your support fire Good luck out there and make your hit clean and make ." She said as she let all her weapons loose from Her autocannon to her PPC and Gauss Set on automatic fire to help her be propelled. she targeted the engines and the ships main hull to keep the shields from coming back. "Sentinel we may over heat." I know But keep it up till we are out of range of the destroyer, Use any coolant we have to make sure I don't Get fried and to keep the safety from turning on and shutting us down Don't want to get us shut down in the middle of a slip space blast to get us killed." Sentinel said as her Cabin began eating up and even she began sweating.

Outside Her Frame Fired PPC kept cycling and firing while her Gauss gun kept reloading and firing ejecting a round every minute. Her Auto cannon fired nonstop shells being constantly ejected as the Recoil began adding to the speed they were moving back with the remaining jump jets. Frost on the inside did all he could to keep the Power flowing and heat venting from the outside of the mech from the Reactor.

As soon as Kyras and Dunni left the battlefield, they could hear Sergeant Gorgon's cry of: "Come and get me, you bastards!" He was quickly drowned out by the scream of his plasma weapon.

They eventually made their way back to their FRAMEs, and Dunni stepped into his, sending a comm out to Kyras. "I've... lost the sergeant. We have one minute left... we need to go." Dunni's voice was small, and defeated.

Behind them, Kyras might be able to notice his other wraith, armless but functional, rushing towards him. No sign of any of the other combatants.

Connor's plan went quite well. His vulcans were excelling at missile defense, 75% of the missiles destroyed, 10% impacting the shield, and the other 15% missing their mark.

His H-I projectiles impacted the corvette, once, breaking the shield. Twice, severing a wing. And thrice, crumpling the bridge. However, the other did not quite appreciate that, and released a salvo of light cannon shots, one severing a fuel line, slowing his movement.

[Results - Medium wound, movement slowed. Destroy the other corvette]

    < @WanderingJester @Vulpas >

Ioren and Yalei flew quickly back to the StarRunner, Ioren impaling the third corvette in his rage.

Sentinel and Crow's barrage of the shields worked perfectly, they never had a chance to regenerate. As for Kelley, he pierced the hull again, blasting through the slip-engine. As he was bathed in the radiation, every single moment of his life flashed before his eyes. It was dizzying.

He, however, did not die, even when the explosion threw him backwards. The shockwave of the dead Destroyer threw him right next to Sentinel and Crow, whose weapons were completely overheated. But there was no need for them anymore. Not for now.

  10. Kyras eventually got into his frame, though barely and even then he had desperately required the assistance of his Canopteks. His crimson life fluids stained the floor and were making a decently sized puddle as they took off, attempting to return to base. He drifted through the ruins of war, among the wreckage of FRAMEs and ships as he contemplated the mission. With so many casualties, so much loss, he really couldn't consider this a victory. If it was, it was a Pyrrhic one to him. Two friends and some canopteks lost, himself horrifically wounded, and who knows what else he had yet to learn of. In the background, a soft glow illuminated the area he had once been before snuffing out, a small wave of force emanating from it hitting the back of his FRAME, causing the blood to swill about and paint even more of the cockpit red. He continued slowly drifting as it was the most he could do, being exhausted and on the edge of unconsciousness due to blood loss. Tears started to fall down his face, stained red by the discharge of his wounds. Even as he slowly drifted into the hanger, comms shutting off and rage overtaking him, he relearned the first rule of the void. In space, whether it be for sadness or all consuming rage, no one can here you scream.
