Kelley spun Void Riptide around. Sure enough more enemies had appeared, he rolled his eyes. Despite the Sergeant's words, it was the same scenario that Kelley and Veronica had found themselves in before after they had destroyed the first wave of bladesmen and riflemen. He stared down at the fake Lævateinn, it seemed like a stryker class, so it would focus on the melee aspect of fighting just like the Riptide. With that he pushed at the controls, thrusting the black and red FRAME forward towards it. As he made his move against the faux FLAME, Kelley saw the holographic enemy react. Up came the beam spear, which Void Riptide dodged with a barrel roll through the air. What did catch him by surprised was the speed in which it turned. Spinning around, the Lævateinn swung its red laser sword at the Riptide before Kelley could complete the roll, and so he lifted his arm to defect the blow. The enemy sliced into Void Riptide's right upper arm, causing more alarms to ring out. But by then Kelley had closed the distance between the two FRAME. The blade from Void Riptide's right forearm made a horizontal cut at Lævateinn, the sword biting into the FRAME deeply to damage but no enough to severe anything. It did however cause the FRAME to rotate so its back was to Kelley while Void Riptide's left arm wrapped itself around the Lævateinn's neck, pinning it to the black and red frame. All the while the riflemen around the two finally reacted, firing at Void Riptide but in reality hitting Lævateinn. As this barraged happened Void Riptide dragged the pinned FRAME into one of the larger crater made by missile FRAME earlier, and the sound of metal being cut apart and a red light shone from its depths momentarily after the two FRAME entered it. OOC: Killed Lævateinn for a light wound. Let me know if this isn't appropriate.
< @WanderingJester > OOC: It's fine As Kelley Emerged from the crater of the lone asteroid in the simulation, He saw his path of egress blocked by a squad of Bladesmen, with Riflemen behind ready to fire. They neglected to move closer, content to block his path. Beyond them he saw Sergeant Gorgon trying to bash his way towards Kelley, but the Bladesman he was up against were blocking his path. [Stay put for now] < @Andraina @Xanxas > "Gu! Th-that hurt!" Cried out Yalei, who then heard Freya's cry for advice "Sit tight, I'll fix you up. Mark, execute pre-compiled program 'self repair'! Target Designate, Friendly FRAME: Lævateinn" When she called that out, a non-standard program that had been implanted in every frame onboard jumped to life in the Lævateinn. It set to work on bypasses and repairs that would get Freya back into the fight, Apologizing to Agalia for the intrusion. This, however, allowed a bladesman to jump upon Kyras, pinning him from causing any more damage. Yalei ended pinned as well. [ @Andraina - FRAME is now operational, continue with objectives, Destroy either Void Riptide OR SuperNova, take a light wound and end in a pin or other tight spot] [ @Xanxas - Stay put for now]
Freya had been watching the fake her on screen. what kind of simulation error was that?! Fighting a superior opponent with Enduring Winter? Sure, the extra reach would be an advantage against the Void Riptide, however battlefield circumstances would never have her launch with it. Mostly due to the fact she was simply inferior with Polearms. That would change one day, but for now She'd only bring it with her when assaulting either Ships, or simply a large line of Bulwark Classes. A number greater then 2. Wait, did this mean this sim was on easy mode?! Since she didn't know the other's habits, and that load-out choice was the only giveaway she could tell since she wasn't fighting herself, she could only speculate at this point. Meanwhile Agalia was trying to get everything to work when the intrusion occurred and rather then trying to stop it she simply stepped aside and watched the program work in awe. "That wasn't here before! Amazing! Sister! We've got motion!" Freya grinned, "Thank you!" Noticing the enemy grabbing hold of her ally, Freya Casually shot it in the face and blasted off. The fast skirmisher was probably going to be a problem for her, her greatest chance of success was probably taking care of the fake Riptide. With her target chosen she closed in on it as fast as her damaged craft would allow. Her charge ended up succeeding. Just as she arrived the craft attempted to grab hold of her and pin her against itself. She managed to score a critical hit with Mortal Summer just as the e blades began to scratch at her frame. "Oww! Why must there be feedback?!" She cringed and blinked as she tried to pull back. It got a hold of her and it wasn't letting her go. Worst of all it pinned her sword arm down and kept her gun arm pointed away and her legs were already damaged she couldn't get a proper kick. "Oh crap..." This was not her day even if she had scored two kills.
@Andraina "Ally, Freya seems to be pinned by another hostile frame." Auriel informed Bishop. "I'm on it." He replied. "Void Riptide is in close proximity, be careful." "No promises." Archanged closed in quickly, shield blocking any form of incoming fire that the opposing frame might try and use to defend itself. Upon reaching melee range the shield was used to bash the Frame back, forcing it to stumble several steps off of Lævateinn, effectively freeing Freya. In that moment while the shield was used for an offensive maneuver that a shot came from the Void Riptide's direction, catching Archangel in its exposed side. "Hull damage minimal. Advise immediate self defense." Archangel's reaction was quick, grasping the Frame which it had knocked back and then tossing it over in Void Riptide's direction before once again raising its shield to block further fire. "Freya. Think you can lend a hand with this one?" Bishop asked.
< @Shadhunter ; @Andraina ; Dunni > However, assistance was not needed as the Critically-Damaged Void Riptide fell dormant after the shield bash. Behind Bishop and Freya was heard a Victory Roar as the SuperNova copy flew between them, carried upon a Much wider beam from Dunni's arm, Sunburst-Golden with a spiral of Deep black upon the edges. < @WanderingJester ; Sergeant Gorgon > ...And carried it into the middle of the group of the troopers blocking Kelley, where the beam stopped abruptly, leaving a glowing gold and black sphere."Star-bomb operational, sergeant!" Called Dunni "Roger... Kelley! Shield your eyes!" Replied the Sergeant as, having destroyed his blockers at a cost of another arm, he fired his Railcannons at the sphere, causing a blinding explosion that cleared the way for Kelley to leave. < @Xanxas ; Yalei > Yalei thanked Freya for the assist before turning and, with precise shots from her remaining handgun, picked apart the trooper holding Kyras, freeing him. "Go get-um, Platypus!" She cried with glee. [40 Bladesmen, 40 Riflemen, 20 Missile Troopers] [Ok, here we go, SUPER-ANIME-FUN-OP-BATTLE-KILLING-TIME!!! I want each of you to destroy 25 enemies (An equal amount for each of you), giving me as much awesome fighting/detail/dodging/etc. as you can. Take no wounds, we are on ANIME OVERDRIVE!! I wanna see some awesomeness! Run wild! Let your imaginations free!]
Void Riptide boosted its front thrusters backwards, dropping itself back into the shadows of the crater as the searing light blasted over the edge and making it seemed like the sun was rising over asteroid. It took a minute for the explosive beam to cease, but by the time the Sergeant could see again from his sensors. Five bladesmen's various parts were laying about, with Kelley's FRAME charging through the Riflemen's ranks. It was clear that Kelley wasn't holding back anymore. One stroke from his blades and three Riflemen lost their limbs, guns, and heads. With his left laser sword, Void Riptide gutted another Rifleman through its mid section, followed by an upper cut with the left fist that stabbed through another Rifleman's head. Breaking through, Kelley finally reached one of the missile FRAME, only to stare directly at the launchers of the FRAME. But even Veronica was a bit surprised by the speed of her rider's instincts. Just as the first missiles were halfway out of the tubes Void Riptide was behind the missile FRAME, grabbing the enemy and physically shifting it to aim at another group of 5 bladesmen, obliterating them. As the missiles poured out that was meant for a target that's not only out of sight, but physically controlling the enemy FRAME, more Riflemen died as five more were detonated from the missile barrage. Just then the other missile FRAMEs finally opened up on Void Riptide and his improvised weapon, but Kelley was already gone. The missile FRAME blew up as 4 missiles hit it at once from other members of its unit. Just as this was happening, in a flash of light Void Riptide cut into the missile storage of the center FRAME, then boosted into the air. Nothing happened for half a second, then the missile FRAME targeted burst as a chain reaction consisted of every missile within it consumed not only the weapon's owner but the other three FRAMEs nearby as well, and a flash of light illuminated Kelley's Black and Red FRAME before it disappeared once more in to the black backdrop of the holographic space. OOC: Did my best with the details, watched a few episodes of Mobile Suit Gundam Wing and listened to its theme song while typing it. EDIT: RESULTS: 10 bladesmen, 10 riflemen, 5 missile FRAMEs destroyed.
Honestly, he had already lost an arm to these fools, and here she went giving permission. It was time for payback. Seryu seemed just as pleased with his enemies as he was. "GO! SMITE THOSE EVILDOERS FOR DARING TO HARM A HERO OF JUSTICE! RIP THEM APART!" On second thought she was a bit more upset. Then again, the frame was her body, so it made sense she was pissed for what was essentially "disarming" her. Kyras had the feeling if he had said that out loud she wouldn't find it as funny as he did. Still, pun worthy or not, their insolent actions needed retribution. He was outnumbered, and any predictability had long flown out the window when Seryu lost her temper, so he did the one thing no one expected a FRAME like the PRAETORIAN to do. He charged them. He could almost feel the disbalied coming from the soon to be dismembered riflemen. You see, they had forgotten one thing. While it was slow, while it was unwieldy, the Rod of The Covanent meant Kyras still had melee capabilities. Those poor fools didn't. The final few feet of his charge were a lunge, and speared right through the first rifleman. He was thrown off the end of the stave at two others, who were then destroyed as the two laser canons blasted through the wreck of their comrade. Sliding out of the explosion these three deaths caused, a blast from his stave reduced yet another FRAME to merely a pair of sparking legs which took a few staggered steps before falling backwards. Before they had even hit the ground Kyras was already ducking under another blow and countering with a backswipe that took the offending frames arms and then head off. Another quick charge had him in front of yet another FRAME, this one being Sparta kicked into oncoming fire as two precise canon shots had the missile frame that fired them destroyed by its own ammo reserves. Conning to their senses, a group of blades men charged the PRAETORIAN, eliciting a scoff from the grinning terror. Had the not JUST learned about grouping like that? A quick blast later, they vanished from existence, almost as quickly as the chances these fools had of leaving here alive after attacking him had dried up after taking his arm. 11 deaths in as many seconds, was this truly all they had? Where was the force they had earlier? Where was the skill, the drive?! "Come on, COME ON!" The beast roared "SHOW ME WHAT PASSES FOR VALOR AMONGST YOUR MISBEGOTTON KIND! COME AND BE HUMBLED BY THE MIGHT OF THE PRAETORIAN!" He knew he was losing himself to battle lust again, but he honestly didn't care at this point. He hadn't had this much fun in ages, and it showed. At this point his everpresent smile resembled more something you would find in a slasher movie than any sane being's, just as Seryu's had been since her little rant began. "COME NOW EVILDOERS! COME AND FACE JUSTICE!" See, even Seryu agreed with him. It was time they showed hi their worth. The riflemen were unloading all they had at the PRAETORIAN, but it wasn't enough. A quick stab had impaled an unfortunate bladesman upon the Rod, and the FRAME blocked enough to once more get the PRAETORIAN into melee, where the now battered husk was discarded like a pile of metal refuse. A sweeping blow brought two FRAMEs low, while the canons simultaneously took down another two. The head of the staff bashed in the head of one mech as the canons swerved and blew the torso off another. The whirlwind of destruction split another FRAME in two and then shot the legs off another, stomping down on its head as it tried to crawl away. At this point, some bladesmen reached where the riflemen had used to be, but were far to late to actually be of any help. Two shots to the cockpit destroyed two before they could even react, and the other two were brought low in the blast of the Rod that was becoming a common sight this day. The last one, however, was bought enough time to get close by his comrade's demise, and took a swing at the rampaging mech. The blade was kicked from his hands and The Rod was quickly aimed at its face. It's hands shot up, as if in surrender, so Kyras turned to walk away. It quickly grabbed a damaged blade from the ground and swung it directly at the PRAETORIAN's neck. The damaged blade, while well crafted, was in no where near peak condition and snapped on the FRAME's armor. Kyras stopped and stood stock still. "The only thing I hate more than traitors" he said, slowly turning around "is backstabbing cowards" finished Seryu. Before it could run, laser blasts claimed its legs at the knees and the RoTC claimed its arms. The crippled mech was then speared through its core and lifted high in the air like a fish on a spear. "Be judged" uttered Seryu in a tone colder than ice as laser blasts tore through it again and again until it was more hole than machine. It hit the floor with a dying screech and the PRAETORIAN turned away, seeking more worthy prey.
She opened her eyes free once again, "Thank you." She said once more, stepping forward, "Agalia, release Mortal Summer's Limiter." Agalia gasped, "eh! Your in no condition!" "Release it." She said simply and Agalia jsut sighed and went ahead to phone ahead to medical, "Mortal Summer, Torneraid Mode, release." Mortal Summer in her hand started moving rapidly between frequencies changing colors in the visible spectrum in a random fashion. It would essentially became a blade that couldn't be stopped due to the changing frequency and was the ultimate power of this blade. Freya's eyes narrowed as Wings of lasers sprouted from her Mecha's back. The HUD in front of her eyes displayed 'Are you ready for this?' "HAHHH!" Freya screamed out as though possessed swinging the blade creating an arc of energy that mercilessly cut through five of the craft. With only twenty before her Agalia sighed, "Interminable Slash." She activated the protocol of Freya's current greatest sword technique. "HERE I COME!" She roared the ship blasting forward with a speed it clearly did not show before. Slash after slash came as she danced around in a general area striking at every mecha near her All of twenty of them. She moved faster then one could generally react each of the slashes aimed at a vital spot tearing the machines apart before she flew away from them on the Z axis. The sword landed between them sending powerful shockwaves creating even more havoc and threw the empowered sword between them returning to their level facing away from and snapped her fingers releasing an explosion that consumed the rest of the Fighters and their explosions created a chorus of destruction behind her. Mortal Summer flew back to her hand. and As Freya took a moment to catch her breath, the wings dissipated and, she, and her machine, fell limp losing power and consciousness. Agalia sighed, "You can barely keep yourself up when your in tip top shape... why would you do this while you're injured?" There was no answer as the little girl sighed and crossed her legs waiting for the Sim to end.
< @Shadhunter ( @Andraina ) > The skills of the Other Riders were impressive, If not a little bit scary. However, it seemed that Freya had overextended herself and shut down. This seemed to be an issue, because the majority of the current surviving enemy troopers turned to target her, with salvos from a missile group streaking towards her and the remaining Bladesmen and riflemen charging forward. Aglia could sees them but the protocols which would have her take control of the Lævateinn to take it back to safety weren't activating. And so it was that Freya was a sitting duck, an easy target. Bishop, however was close enough to assist immediately where no-one else could. [10 Bladesmen, 10 Riflemen, 5 Missile FRAMEs] [Make a stellar defense in SUPER-ANIME-FUN-OP-BATTLE-KILLING-TIME style with detail and awesomeness and destroy 5 Troopers] < @WanderingJester @Xanxas > [After Bishop's defense, you can each make a post defeating 10 of the last 20 enemies] OOC: The number of enemies may not be accurate. However, there was some ambiguity as to how many of each type of enemies were destroyed in each post. Also many words (Which is good). Therefore, I am going to ask that from now on, at the end of a combat post you add in a "results line" so as to make all our lives easier... I prefer to read the posts for the action/story, not pick through them to get numbers. With that, I will also begin adding results to elite/boss posts so you can skip back and easily see what damage has been done the more powerful enemies. Example: [2 Bladesmen and 3 Riflemen destroyed]
