< @WanderingJester > Morain's eyes flew open for just a moment. "A... kid? You allowed a kid on this ship? That's unlike you. Please... tell me you don't plan to use her as bait, or a hostage, or just plain kill her, or..." She was quite surprised, and honestly a little scared.
"A... kid? You allowed a kid on this ship? That's unlike you. Please... tell me you don't plan to use her as bait, or a hostage, or just plain kill her, or..." Kelley finally finished his exercise, satisfied at how tired it made him. He hopped down, and untie himself from the container. He opened a digi-pad and ordered a protein shake to be delivered to him by a servant robot. Synthesizers were expensive, so they can't just get one installed in every room on board. After he looked up Morain. "I actually planned on speaking to you about her. According to the prisoner, Ioren Kilat, she is one of the most powerful technomancer in existance. Of course I knew that in order the satisfy his conditions of safety for him and his sister I could not let high command know about this. They would dissect her body faster than we can actually retrieve her. She is currently facing imminent execution on Jieorrick, so of course we would have to extract her first." The doors to the bay opened, and a servant robot came down the catwalks with a protein shake and Morain's favorite bottle of juice. Kelley grabbed the shake and started drinking it. "I do not know a lot about technomancy, but I know that currently only the prisoner, Commander Yilli and I, now also you, know about this fact. I would like to keep it that way after including Veronica. I told Kilat that I will assign the girl to cleaning duties once she is on board. However I hope that you will take her as a ward, to both conceal her full powers but also to guide her. Will you do that Morain?"
< @WanderingJester > Morain smiled. *Why, you softy* she thought. "Technomancer, huh? I'm surprised at you, Loren. You really do have a soft side. Of course I would watch over her, but not without this... Ioren's permission. It sounds as if she is really important to him." After a pause where Kelley could speak, she said: "Anyway, I was wondering... so, I have this game system in my quarters... and I wanted to know... would you and Veronica... like to join me? If you want, I could teach you some about Technomancy while we're there. It's something that more people should learn about."

He set the empty container back on the servant robot, who nudged Morain slightly to get her to take her drink. Kelley pointed at robot, then said. "Well important enough that a deal will not be reached without her anyways, so there is that. You going to drink that? He is getting impatient." He looked at the robot, but when Morain spoke again, she still hasn't taken the juice. "Anyway, I was wondering... so, I have this game system in my quarters... and I wanted to know... would you and Veronica... like to join me? If you want, I could teach you some about Technomancy while we're there. It's something that more people should learn about." Kelley raised an eyebrow. "I was under the impression Veronica would like to spend some alone time with you to bond, or something. Perhaps I should stop by after that has happened, when she is not around? You are correct though, I do need to acquire knowledge on Technomancy, especially since it is increasingly becoming an important factor in this war."
< @WanderingJester > Morain finally took the juice, and the Robot sped off. "Heh... yeah. But, where is Veronica? I haven't seen her since you two visited me. Thanks again for that, by the way."
"Heh... yeah. But, where is Veronica? I haven't seen her since you two visited me. Thanks again for that, by the way." Kelley raised an eyebrow at that. "I thought she was with you? And no problem." Like she was on que, Veronica appeared next to them, panting. She raised a hand, still doubled over and trying to catch her breath. "I'm... I'm right here everyone. Sorry, with the recent incidents Commander Yilli wanted me to do a million things from updating security programs to running maintenance on things. Sis, I think we need to do the slumber party later. I still have to look at the plumbing mainframe then I think I'm going to catch some rest with a quick shut down. Sorry Mr. Kelley for my absence lately." Kelley looked at her then replied. "It is okay Veronica, just as long as you get some re-" She was already gone again. Kelley sighed and looked back at Morain, "I guess it is just us tonight, you still want to play those games in your room?"
< @WanderingJester > Morain smiled again, after furrowing her brow at Veronica's statement. "I suppose even Oracle may need help once in a while. Anyway, follow me." She said, leading Kelley towards her room. "First thing you need to know is that the true cause of Technomancy is unknown. Some theorize it started as a side effect of the radiation used in the first SOULs and FRAMEs. Others say that it is the next step in human evolution. The only fact known for sure is that Technomancy accesses a normally dormant part of the brain. Somehow this allows us to see, connect with and influence ambient data streams in the air, as well as the code inside electronic and mechanical devices. One effect of this is the ability to communicate directly with AI, speaking with data instead of Words. The other abilities, such as mine and Williams gunnery skills, are extensions of this. We speak to the gun, work with it to destroy our enemies. The other main skill of Technomancy is the ability to input extra code or programs into such devices. I've used this to jam guns once in a while, as well as direct autonomous guns to specific targets under certain conditions." "Any questions so far?"

Kelley took the time to memorize all of this, but was surprised at how fast he could remember it all. Maybe he was getting used to Fate's Edge force feeding him a waterfall of information all the time. "Any questions so far?" Kelley nodded. "Yes, do each technomancer share the general abilities you speak of, or is ever individual different in what powers they have? Also does your abilities affect any physical changes in your bodies? Like for example manipulates genes to arise where it never existed before. So say a child is born to two parents who have no family history of purple hair in on either side but still have purple hair when it grows up?"
< @WanderingJester > "What I've given you thus far is the general abilities each Technomancer possesses. Each individual can use these, albeit with different amounts of strength. Technomancers do tend to have their own powers of expertise. I, for example, can enhance the accuracy and power of any gun up to 50x their original. As for our bodies, they are not truly affected. You've seen the orange aura that surrounds me when I use my powers? That's about it... although, overusing our abilities is very tiring. And genetically, we've found no correlation in DNA as of yet, but it seems to be more common in children with a Technomancer parent, although children are born into families with no history, albeit much more rarely." "Anything else?"
