-Loren Kelley & Veronica- {Oh... all he cares about are results. Let us see you despair when you fail him!} With that the darkness consumed everything around her, and Veronica collapsed crying. She had failed Mr. Kelley. Now he'll go get himself a better SOUL to replace her. She curled up into a ball and cried in the eternal darkness. [MR. KELLEY!] Kelley sprang up as Dunni knocked off even more guards. He sprinted at the control panel, and slammed his connector into the port, evacuating Veronica, then the rider punched the console as hard as he could, breaking it. He pulled up Veronica's face on screen. "Veronica are you alright?" She tried to squeeze out a few words between her sobs. "I... I'm so... sorry... I...failed..." Then she broke into tears again. Kelley didn't waste time, and just nodded. "We can talk about this later on the Starrunner. Let's just finish the mission first." He turned back to Dunni who was freaking out about something. A bunch of helmets laid around him, and all the guards looked the same. "Huh... something doesn't feel right. Said Dunni, as he took helmets off two of the guards. He swore. "Damnit! What are they doing!? Are they cloning people now!?" Kelley shook his head. "Doesn't matter, the console didn't work. We will do this the old fashion way. Follow me." With that Kelley, taking the still crying Veronica, sprinted on top of the pile of bodies in the doorway and out into the hall, heading to the armory of the facility.
< @WanderingJester (Kelley) > "Got it, Kelley... I don't want this data anyway." And so they went, Dunni's Exo-Suit enhancing his speed enough to keep up with Kelley. Oddly enough they reached the armory without and interference. "I don't like this, Kelley. Too easy... No life signs in the armory either... Something is definitely not right... is Veronica OK?"
-Loren Kelley & Veronica- "Got it, Kelley... I don't want this data anyway." Kelley nodded and they ran towards the armory, when they arrived, Dunni spoke up again. "I don't like this, Kelley. Too easy... No life signs in the armory either... Something is definitely not right... is Veronica OK?" Kelley shrugged. "She seemed shaken up, but fine. I agree, so either they are thinking the same thing as us, or have an army of back up battle robots at ready. Either way, get ready to run. Grab the biggest explosive ordinance here. Then we will head to the reactors on base." Kelley grabbed a bunch of demolition charges, plus several detonators, as well as a cluster charge, and moved out with Dunni. The two of them headed for the power generating section of the base.
< @WanderingJester (Kelley) > Dunni tookit upon himself to carry 2 large missile packs, each holing about 120 Missiles. "I don't really need free arms." He told Kelley, jerking his head towards one of the Gatling guns on his back. Again they reached their destination with no problem. Something was very wrong. Dunni walked up to the main reactor and put down the missile packs just next to it. "Here's as good as there, I suppose, right?" [ Go ahead and emote setting the charges and getting back to your FRAME. No farther, please]
-Loren Kelley & Veronica- "I don't really need free arms." Kelley watched as they both went to the power generators, they both set the charges on the main reactor, setting them to remote detonators so that they'll both have plenty of time to get back in their FRAMEs. "Here's as good as there, I suppose, right?" Kelley looked over and saw that Dunni had dropped the missile packs by the main reactor. Dunni was right, this was too easy. He looked over at the other rider. "Get back to the Starrunner, I'm going to have one last look around." With that Kelley sprinted off. He was going to clear the place of every room he could find. He had read some case study where a local bioterrorist group over by the spiral sector tricked the UTC special forces to destroying the base, not realizing there were hostages hidden on the evacuated facility. Kelley wasn't going to be tricked the same way. He'll kick down every last door in the place to make sure of that.
< @WanderingJester (Kelley) > Nothing...nothing....nothing....nothing but abandoned equipment, machinery, and absolutely no people. In the last room, however, there was an open message that caught his eye, mostly because of the subject line: IOREN KILAT *This is a general executive order. The Penal Trooper known as IOREN KILAT is hereby ordered to be executed. His sister will face public execution in Two Terran weeks on planet Jieorrick. A bonus for the unit that brings me this traitor's head.* The sender was encrypted. Dunni soon checked in to comms "Kelley? We have an interesting situation here. Hundreds of Splinter Troopers are advancing towards your FRAME, but they seem preoccupied with a fallen... Knight FRAME? They're shooting at him. Could be some type of coup. Anyway, Captain Onyx Wants us back ASAP. He sounded mad."
-Loren Kelley & Veronica- *This is a general executive order. The Penal Trooper known as IOREN KILAT is hereby ordered to be executed. His sister will face public execution in Two Terran weeks on planet Jieorrick. A bonus for the unit that brings me this traitor's head.* Kelley was already running full speed at Fate's Edge. He didn't even bothered with alternating the routes indoor, instead breaking through a door to the exterior of the building he was currently in. Dunni suddenly shot him a message. "Kelley? We have an interesting situation here. Hundreds of Splinter Troopers are advancing towards your FRAME, but they seem preoccupied with a fallen... Knight FRAME? They're shooting at him. Could be some type of coup. Anyway, Captain Onyx Wants us back ASAP. He sounded mad." Kelley keyed into the comms. "Get back to the Starrunner. I am blowing the charges." He pressed the button as he hopped on to the roof of the next building and began running at full speed towards the Fate's Edge, and the reactor detonated. Jumping from building to building, the shockwave was quickly catching the rider. Kelley saw his FRAME, and the rider's chamber's doors of the FRAME opened up. Just then the shockwave caught him, throwing him straight at the FRAME. By either chance or something else, he flew straight into the FRAME's interior, quickly linking himself up to it, activating the FRAME. He however did not plug Veronica into the system, opting to let her rest. He went through the flood of information, letting him know what was happening while he started the main thrusters to dodge the first few attacks and headed for Ioren.
< @WanderingJester (Kelley) > "Damnit...Damnit...Damnit...Damnit...DAMNIT!" Ioren could be heard over comms. He had managed to pull himself behind a wall that was systematically being destroyed by a HUGE group of Riflemen. Hundreds. "Lillia... LILLIA!" He yelled out, before a rifle shot pierced the wall, blowing through the chest. The FRAME fell dormant, and Ioren could no longer be heard. If he checked, Kelley would still see vital signs in the FRAME, but he was unconscious. [ LIMIT BREAK! 500 Riflemen. Push to the very limit, but do not go insane ]
OOC: Can someone say: anti-climatic? -Loren Kelley & Veronica- "Damnit...Damnit...Damnit...Damnit...DAMNIT! Lillia... LILLIA!" Kelley watched as Ioren's FRAME took a shot through the chest, and fell. He checked just to make sure the rider's still alive, then after confirmation, opened all available thrusters on Fate's Edge's back. He took a look at the stats and his biometrics, this will be close. With that Fate's Edge blasted off, disappearing then reappearing near Ioren's FRAME. All the nearby riflemen around Ioren's FRAME exploded, along with a row of them from the blown up facility to where Fate's Edge reappeared once more. Kelley picked up Ioren's FRAME, and blasted up towards Starrunner before any of the Riflemen could react, leaving the battlefield behind and heading into space at an extreme speed. His biometrics were pushing to the limit as he blasted Fate's Edge faster and faster. The world began to lose focus, but he forced his vision to realign again. Opening a comms to command, he said. "This is Rider Loren Kelley of Fate's Edge. Enemy Facility destroyed. Data Collected. Mission Accomplished. I have captured a prisoner."
< @WanderingJester (Kelley) OOC: Anti-Climactic. (Hey, you asked ) "Roger, Rider Kelley, Re-" Lieutenant Moren was cut off by A crazed-sounding captain Onyx. < + @Xanxas @Andraina @WanderingJester (Bishop) ( @Shadhunter ) > The following messages were sent over open comms. EVERY UTC force member heard what happened. "DAMN YOU, KELLEY! DO YOU NOT KNOW HOW TO FOLLOW ORDERS!? YOU WERE TO NOT DESTROY THE OBJECTIVES! but..." His voice got deathly quiet. "I guess it doesn't matter. Helmsman Fero! Gunner Williams! Activate the Galactic Cannon!" "Sir? That will destroy the planet... not to mention all of our forces outside of the ship." The helmsman responded. "DO IT!" "No. Sir, I refuse to follow that order. You may have me thrown in the brig." Killian said emphatically. There was a long silence over comms where even the battle lulled. And then three shots rang out. "...Captain?" The sound of a body hitting the floor. "Fuck! Captain, what are you doing? Medical to the bridge, STAT!" Yelled Commander Yilli. "Belay that, Medical. He is a traitor, subject to summery execution. Let him die. All forces! This is captain Onyx! I am taking absolute command! IF MY ORDERS ARE NOT FOLLOWED TO THE LETTER, I-" A grunt, and another body hitting the floor. "Captain? I am hereby relieving you of command. you are unfit for duty. Security, please escort Tiber to the brig. Medical, I need a team NOW! Kelley, please bring your prisoner to medical. we will check him out and interrogate him... with your presence." "All other forces, continue with objectives."
