Spoiler: OOC: At this point it's your main quest, I am ... Disappointed nobody (or at least you) realizes that, lol. The main-main quest is to get away from the planet, then you took it on as primary storyline to do it the Fett way....
Spoiler: OOC Whoops...Well,maybe I'm more of a big picture kind of guy, but I figured the main quest was getting to the new Jedi Academy and how we get there is all the nice detail you need for the plot. Considering it was sort of in the info given to us through the intro I assumed as much. The Fett way was one option (of four?) on how to get off planet to continue on with the story. Maybe I'm just meta-gaming a little bit here, but I saw Fett as a means to an end, not an end in itself. If I was to Visually show what I mean it'd look like Main Story: Warn Master Skywalker of the Sith Threat -Find a way off Ord Mantell and get to Ithor for help --Help Fett to get a ride to Ithor. Personal Side Quests -Visit Bossk on Ithor -Have Cyrus wish his little brothers a happy birthday -Have Nat bitch at the New Republic authority about Remnant activity on Ord Mantell Maybe I'm subconsciously gamifying a bit too much in my head
Spoiler I am getting a real KoTOR-vibe off of this (which is great). Hence, I've not objected to all the detours, because that's how main quests go.
Cyrus crossed his arms and sighed, drumming his fingers as he tried to come up with an idea. He tried to remember all he could about the Hutts. They tended to be arrogant, shrewd, but also had quite the stupid streak in them when it came to overestimating their own power. Perhaps that was something about this Hutt they could exploit. He looked at Kass and beamed. If it worked once maybe it can work again, it would at least be something to give the others to consider. "Hey Rondo, what do you say we take an idea from my master's book of tricks and cash in on your bounty?"
Rondo perked a brow. "His book of tricks?" he asked back, huffing. "Well, I'd say it sounds like a good idea," the businessman answered. "I'll prefer not being frozen down in carbonite, though. It's bad for the hair."
Streets of Ord Mantell "So that's Kass, Zuri and Nex sorted at least. What are the rest of us going to do?"
"Cyrus..." Nex said stoic as can be, eyelids partly closed, "if we did that in the first place, we wouldn't be in this predicament..." Of course he knew Cyrus had no intention on actually cashing in on Kass's bounty. But he couldn't help but bring up the obvious. Hopefully they would be able to swindle the Hutt's out of some credits too if they were lucky. Though he figured they needed it to look more convincing that they were actually bringing in an acquisition...Or maybe he just wanted it to look more convincing. He'd never admit to which. "Nah nah nah, it'd never work. It doesn't look...convincing enough..." he said, to Kass, a slight devious smile slowly creeping up on his face, "you need to look like we actually captured you while you were on the run, there should be obvious signs of a struggle of some sort. Otherwise they'd never buy you- it, buy it..." "Hey Zuri," he sang out, "would you mind punching Kass in the eye or something? You know, for the plan to work and all of course."
Spoiler: OOC: This RP is inspired greatly from KOTOR, that is the reason why I made this the way I also do it... I had played KOTOR 2 recently through and short after / while I was playing it I started this thread Spoiler: OOC: Finding a Way off and getting to Skywalker is the same level of Main Quest, in my opinion. Different people, different categorizing.
