Cyrus stood up from the table in the briefing room, looking slightly silly in his slightly oversized robe. A hot cup of tea having barely been touched steamed away in spite of the shaking of the ship. He'd woken up that morning with a slight inclination of dread but it'd been brushed aside easily enough during morning mediation, now he could only curse himself for not having been more aware. With only a sigh he removed his lightsaber's hilt from its beltloop and checked his comms. "I'll see to the safety of the bridge first, we'll have to keep the laser batteries firing if we want to make it to lunch."
"Move quickly, we shall. Feel free to leap off, little tree-dweller." Her voice still a testament to her calmness - maybe detachment -, Zuri briskly walked over to the veteran before changing her pace to match his speed.
Alastain gave Cyrus a curt nod. "You should be able to hold your own, Master Jedi," he said brusquely, before marching off toward the engine room. "Blasters to stun," he barked.
NexNip had no idea what a Jedi was. He heard the word before, but he never got an explanation on what the word meant. His first thought was that it could have been a type of cheese. That would make that man a master of cheese. NexNip wondered if he could try a few free samples, but he would have to ask the man later. Considering Zuri's pace made Nexnip have to focus on hanging onto her shoulder or risk falling off and being left behind. Not the sort of thing he would have liked to happen when fighting broke out. Sure he could just camouflage himself with his fur, but if these Imperial something or others wanted the ship, who knows how long he would have had to hide. No he would have none of that, Nexnip just clung to Zuri, collar dangling around his neck. Mainly out of curiosity as to where she was heading, And also, to make sure she didn't get into any trouble. At least not without him to help bale her out. Hopefully whatever luck that has been following him around persists today. And hopefully it wouldn't be any of that bad luck, they could use all the good luck they can get right now.
Corridors Na'tala watched as the three, technically four, people left to secure their chosen objectives, heading out after them when the room had stopped shaking. Her path towards the main reactor meant she followed Kromar and the ice maiden, not recognizing her species, although after a while the Twi'lek left the pair, and the creature riding the alien woman's shoulder, behind.
OOC: Let's see if I got this right.... ^^ aaaand undecided where to go: @Vulpas (feel free to simply have tagged with someone! ) ~~ Hyperdrive Engine ~~ @Kalle | @GobMaw_HellSmasha & @Casavay | After departing from the Twi'lek at an intersection the trio went for the Hyperdrive Engine where they arrived just before the Imperial boarding party made it there. Two squads of rebel forces stood ready at the one and only entrance, taking the frame as cover. Instantly the Chiss could see the Hyperdrive Engine was very well intact and luckily as long as no Imperial would make it this far, it probably would remain such. ~~ Main Reactor ~~ @Avenging-Angel Less luck had the Twi'lek which did not make it to the Main Reactor before arrival of the Imperial forces. A nearby door that had been sealed was blown open and through the smoke emit already blaster shots. It was followed up with shots of Rebel forces and so the battle begun! ~~ Bridge ~~ @UnluckyFellow The Jedi Knight was well received by the Captain who rushed to his side. "Multiple breaches on my ship. And they appear to only care about our reactor! We are working on getting the shields up, but all that matters only little as long as their hyperdrive-inhibitor is still active. I would really appreciate if you could perhaps lead a counter-attack and take their darn device out in return. I bet they thought we are just some sort of messenger-ship and don't have the proper force to counter attack! They will see of what sort of material battle-hardened Corellians are made!"
Main Reactor Na'tala cursed when she noticed the situation. Squinting through the smoke the Twi'lek reluctantly set one of her pistols to 'stun', tracking the bolts she could see and firing at where she thought their sources where, not knowing who she was shooting. Spoiler Am I right in thinking I can't actually see either rebels or stormtroopers?
BRIDGE Cyrus looks slightly confused when the captain states they only seem to be after the reactor. "Why risk a boarding and concentrate on only a single area.." He could ponder that on the way, first they actually had to get the reactor back. Whirling around and running for the main reactor room, Cyrus yells over his shoulder. "Seal the bridge, I'll comm in when their device is down."
HYPERDRIVE ENGINE Nexnip took it upon himself to get down from Zuri's shoulders. He figured she'd appreciate not having a tag along hanging off her shoulders in the middle of a fight. What did they call this part? Calm before the storm. It didn't seem to make any sense however. The loudspeaker said there were borders already on the ship. Where were they then? Certainly not here. Unless they too had the idea to hide from sight. They certainly couldn't have been thinking what he was thinking right? So Nexnip decided to hide with the help of his fur to camouflage himself in a nice covered spot with a clear view of where he thought these imperials might enter from. Just so some of his infamous luck could rub off on his friends and help get them through this.
Alastain nodded approvingly when he saw the engines protected. "Fantastic!" he said, and addressed the troops. "Now you men hold this line!" he commanded. "The fight will be tough when it first comes to us." He joined the rebels at the door, pressed up against the wall behind a crouching trooper, and ready to pounce at the incoming Imperial troopers!
