Star Wars - Rise of the Sith (Post Episode VI)

  1. I think he might actually be more comfortable with Jedi teachings deviatating from the 'emotionally detached monks' of the Old Order. There is a reason he liked Kyle Katarn when he met him, and it wasn't just because he pulled Zuri out of the fire.

On another note: Does Cyrus have a goatee? Because I kind of imagined Cyrus having the short hair look padawans have-basing this off his newly appointed status as a Jedi Knight keeping him from growing his hair out just yet- but with a goatee starting to grow in.

No goatee, he has a short beard and is still rockin' the short padawan hair.

"It is simply on my 'to-do' list. But I cannot simply help you off-world without getting you all to know a little bit better. So unless you want me to do it myself, I suggest you head off?" Boba did not sound mad about it, just disliked the insinuation of 'stop hiding information from us.' As the cloaked man spoke up, he looked again a bit closer and then nodded.

"Either way, they are simply using a regular housing module for their operations. Fools live and work from the same place. And if I judge them correctly, they are even foolish enough to put the bounty hunter guild symbol on their house, should be easy to find for you lot." He focused this time on Cyrus (@UnluckyFellow ). "Especially for you."

@Avenging-Angel - like @GobMaw_HellSmasha guessed, Boba totally insinuated you are a spy. Also I do not make Boba god-like with his information, just wanted to throw it out there since you lot got 'nervous' but there is a greater reason behind all that :) As for Cyrus and knowing he is a jedi. Would he have shut up about his father, Boba never would have thought of it. But the only ones who respect Fett are fellow Hunters and Jedi. :p

Boba's extremely good at what he does after all. Yes, it's mostly popularity power, but the EU made him pretty much the best there is at bounty hunting and evereything it entails. Him knowing stuff isn't exactly weird.

"What a band of idiots", Zuri commented, stroking her holstered E-11. Even if it hadn't been an awesomely powerful blaster, its compactness was reason enough to bring it along. In a pinch, the Chiss could use it one-handed, even though that, coupled with its heavy kick, would result in a drastic reduction of accuracy.

"Fett... why do you want them dead? It seems that it's not even beneath you, but rather like it would be a vacation trip. Why send us? You know nobody here has qualms about killing."

Of course, she was making a sweeping statement already falsified by it including Nex, but Zuri knew that her companion knew she was ready and able to kill as the situation warranted. She'd proven it time and time again.

Cyrus laughed a bit at Zuri's comment. This could be considered treading into some pretty morally ambiguous territory. "Speak for yourself." He gave Boba a nod showing he knew what Boba knew. "I take it you don't really care how they're dealt with."
  6. Well shit, you're right about that. If you're not a hunter or a Jedi/Sith you more or less fear Fett. The only respect he gets are from those aspiring to become like him, and the force-sensitives who are impressed with his abilities to face off directly with them.

Hell, in the EU, Vader and Fett actually fought each other to a standstill.

    Most impressive.

"Didn't mean to offend, Fett. Just liked to know what sort of scum we're dealing with."

Nex wanted to make sure to stay as close to Fett's good side as possible. But that certainly wasn't worth brazenly running toward their deaths. Hopefully Boba Fett at least realized through his questioning that they weren't fools, his prying should have shed some light on the years of experience Zuri and him had- as few as it was compared to his own level of experience. Only a fool would accept a fools errand afterall.

And then Nexnip saw Fett look toward Cyrus's direction. It was clear even without being force-sensitive what that meant. Though from what he felt from Fett's intentions he didn't seem hostile toward their Jedi companion. It might have just been from Nex's inexperience, but he could have swore that Boba Fett was...amused by this. He audibly cleared his throat and continued addressing Fett.

"In that case, we'll take care of them. If this band of thugs is as incompetent as they seem to be, then we've definitely handled worse before."

Nex wasn't necessarily trying to boast about their own skills as much as make a statement about their quarry. He didn't feel any intentions from Fett about trying to deceive them. If anything, Fett honestly believed himself that these zabrak were just as idiotic as he stated. Nex's mind already raced with ideas on how to get through this without simply killing the lot. As much as Zuri was ready and willing to kill when necessary, he was more on the capture by design part of the creed. The idea of killing people made him nervous, though he wouldn't shy away from defending the others with his life if and when it came to blows.

This whole mission screamed "Test Trial" to him, that didn't mean he had any intentions on failing it.

I believe Fett's skills can be summed up with one sentence.

    Darth Vader begrudgingly respected Fett.

That is the essence of 'enough said'.

"As I have said before. Zuri. They are on my to-do list and I haven't gotten around it yet. And you came to me with a request to take you off-world. See it as your payment for the fare. Plus, I won't take the bounty for Kass." He pointed at the man with the Bounty. "Unless of course you don't mind about me taking him, then I gladly take him right here and now as payment and ship you off to wherever you want to go. Borga pays well, even if that thing is uglier and more stupid than Jabba had been, credits are credits."

@Casavay - you know my fear of making chars (especially NPCs) too OP and all that :X

  9. This is Boba Fett we're dealing with though

I'm sure he's an exception to the rule

Nexnip barely kept himself from burying his head in his hands. Of course Fett would know who Kass was, he was in the same guild area as them after all. Why wouldn't he have checked the bounties posted there, and Kass stuck out like a soar thumb on that board, he wasn't exactly hard to miss. The thought of taking up Fett's offer crossed his mind for a split second before it quietly subsided. It would have saved them a lot of future trouble he thought.

"Who...him?" He said glaring toward Kass for a split second, "Don't worry about the acquisition, he's in our custody. Got to make credits ourselves you know. Can't just have you taking all the bounties for yourself right?" He said with a surprisingly confident smile toward Fett. Figuring getting friendly with the hunter would be the best course of action.

@Uriel1339 - A fear I share, as you know. But still, it's Fett. That's like including Macharius and being afraid of displaying his genuine tactical genius.

"Mighty fine of you to ignore Kass", Zuri hissed, mostly directed at her fuzzy companion.

She was not exactly comfortable with dragging this encounter out, and it showed in her body language - at least to NexNip, who was already familiar with her. Not asking too many questions and getting things done was how a hunter stayed alive.
