Asteroid ??? @Avenging-Angel The mercenary Nat winked toward -a young Nautolan man with bright green skin and light combat armor-stood upright with his eyes widened in response to her gesture. Blushing slightly he turned to the Aqualish merc on his left and shrugged. Kradd, looked right toward Na'tala, unfazed, before looking away and scoffing, giving the best impression of a Rodian loudly rolling his eyes as he could. He mumbled something in Rodese as he started rubbing his eyes with one hand. Allkyl chuckled and looked at the Twi'lek. "Yes yes, I'm sure when you work with the Jedi they are sure to treat you better." the Arkanian stated, "However, from my experience dealing with Jedi, they seem like a group of self righteous prudes who only get in the way of business. My business. You see the only laws and rules I'm interested in are my own. And the Jedi...well...they want to enforce a different set of rules. Rules that seem to directly oppose mine...I'm certain you can see how a conflict of interest can arise." Allkyl busied himself by looking at his hand, moving his digits and flipping the hand over as he continued on. "To put it bluntly. I wouldn't have even contacted the Jedi if I didn't believe they had a solution to my problem. As frustrating as it is to deal with them, sometimes one must if they wish to get anything done." Nexnip The Kushiban perched on Cyrus's shoulder wasn't quite acting like his usual self. Ever since they left Kushibah. Nex has been very reclusive during the trip to this asteroid, sticking with meditating alone, or holding the stone necklace in his hand as he stared blankly at it. It didn't take a genius to figure out that something was wrong with the little guy. Especially with his fur greying ever since his departure. Upon reaching their destination, his demeanor didn't improve. Nexnip ignored the comments the Arkanian made about Cyrus and him. His fur didn't even change from it's gray color. The Kushiban just kept his hood over his head as he stayed silent. He was in no mood to get into an argument with some fool. His mind was too occupied with other thoughts to come up with any witty retorts anyways.
Asteriod - @GobMaw_HellSmasha "Ahhh but my friend, When you wear the same helmet for as long as I have it starts to become ones face after spending so much time with it and becoming a symbol of who I am. Quite good to meet you as well friend." Kai said looking around it seemed like quite a situation, out numbered about 10 to 7 chances were not on there side it seemed though maybe a few words and this situation could end peacefully.
Allkyl @Vulpas "Ah! But my friend the eyes are the gateway to the soul. As much as you would like to convince me this cover of yours is your face, it is not. For behind that helmet you hide your eyes from me, and with that your soul as well. And if you can't even bear your soul to someone...how will they ever be able to truly trust you?" the Arkanian asked. His tone seemed calm and cool as it has been so far, but his face betrayed the annoyance he felt at the moment. And then he sighed and shrugged. "You may say one thing, but your eyes may say something completely different. And I can't exactly see them, so I'll never know." Allkyl started stroking the bottom of his chin. Looking at Kai brought some thoughts to his mind. He couldn't help but feel that he knew him from somewhere. Despite not even being able to see the man's face, the Wroonian still seemed identifiable. Looking at Kai and groaning in thought, he continued addressing the masked fellow. "Still...you do seem quite familiar to me. Like I've known you from somewhere. I can't seem to place my finger on it however. Would you care to...clear up anything with me now?" Kradd Kradd on the other hand just seemed disinterested in the fellow. The only reasons in his mind that people would wear a face concealing helmet like that at all times was to either hide some physical deformity of some sort, or to hide their face from hunters or authorities that would bring them in. In the formers case he'd rather the man just kept his helmet on and whatever he had wrong with his face to himself. In the latters case the man was just a paranoid loony. Kradd didn't really care how wanted this man thought he was, there were plenty of people here with bounties that would have dwarfed his. Nexnip @UnluckyFellow | @Vulpas | @Avenging-Angel Upon seeing Nat turn to look toward them when she addressed her time with Jedi being enjoyable, he couldn't help but smile lightly at her. However his grin all but disappeared as soon as the Arkanian began talking again. He didn't care that the man was insulting the name of Jedi. He was more frustrated at the fact that the man felt like he knew everything, when clearly he was more lost to the ways of the Jedi then he was intially. Nex was not in the mood with making friends with a bunch of pirate scum like them. Especially since taking out scum like this that made him go bounty hunting with Zuri in the first place. He looked over to Kai, who was trying to engage the Arkanian with some small talk. It just seemed like a waste of breath to him, but he wasn't going to stop Kai. As pointless as it seemed to him, he respected his friend's judgement enough to make decisions on his own. Perhaps Kai had some idea in mind. He couldn't really think of anything at the time. Not right now. He looked at Cyrus, whose shoulder he was perched on, with an unhappy and dejected expression from under his hood. "Is dealing with these guys really necessary?" he asked under a hushed breath, "Every second I hear this man speak I feel like pulling my ears out. How can we be sure he's even telling the truth about anything?"
Delibrately Unnamed Asteroid @GobMaw_HellSmasha | "It's all about having someone above you. Someone more important. Point anyone, such as a Jedi in this case, towards a target more appealling than you and you can reap the rewards of the struggle." Na'tala paused, finally looking over at Kradd, before turning back to Dramel, stroking a lekku. "Your friend doesn't like me. Why not?"
Asteroid| @GobMaw_HellSmasha The whole exchange had started out exactly like one of the opening scenes in a holoflick. The underappreciated henchman with bigger ambitions, the goons, the over the top boss that rules with a slick tongue and iron fist, Cyrus had assigned all their roles in his mind almost immediately upon seeing them. He could now see why Master Skywalker had actually agreed to help Allkyl with whatever this problems was, chances are that it was more dangerous than this pirate would ever be. The man was an open book, he'd probably been a nobody back on his own world but perhaps had a talent for negotiations or was just exceptionally cruel. The sad excuse of a pirate lord was just looking to carve out his atom-sized chunk of the galaxy. Oh yes, this man was not to be underestimated...but when push came to shove he didn't doubt for a moment that Allkyl would run with his tail between his legs. Cyrus nuzzled his head against the distressed form of his fluffy apprentice. "Afraid so, just grin and bear it." It was just one of those sad situations where rubbing shoulders with filth would net a vastly superior reward. "Well we're sorry to get your hopes up but Kyle Katarn is only one person and thus can't be everywhere at once. I'm sure we'll be able to deal with whatever this problem of yours is. If not...well it's really no skin off your teeth. Perhaps we can go over the particulars over some rum, you guys surely like rum right?"
@Avenging-Angel Allkyl Dramel Allkyl couldn't help but throw his head back and laugh loudly at what Na'tala said. To the point that the group standing behind him started to look at the Arkanian a bit awkwardly. As the Arkanian recomposed himself from his outburst he looked at the Twi'lek with a grin. "Why my dear lady, there's no one on this rock more important then myself. So...I'm afraid that's impossible for me to do. Don't fret though, I have plenty of men to do the struggling bit for me." Upon Nat bringing up Kradd, Allkyl glanced over to the Rodian in question. After a few seconds of glaring at him, the Arkanian shrugged and looked back at the lovely Twi'lek in front of him. "Pay him no mind my dear. He just doesn't like strangers. But he is a good guard dog. Ain't that right Kradd?" he said, as the Rodian just shook his head and started rubbing his face with his hand in sheer annoyance. @UnluckyFellow Upon hearing the Jedi speak up, the Arkanian scowled as he sneered back at the Jedi. Clearly displeased with being interrupted from talking with the Twi'lek, he looked at Cyrus and crossed his arms. "I like to make my business dealings sober. But if you'd like to drink yourself into a stupor before hand then by all means...I'll contact someone to bring you something." his voice was calm and direct, despite his face contorting in anger. "Speaking of which, perhaps we can discuss this in a more suitable location." and with a wave of his hand he dismissed the gathering of Mercs around them, with a good amount of them already going off to do their own things. While the only one that stuck around was Kradd. Dramel lightly bowed to the two ladies in the party as he pointed them to the right direction. "Right this way" he spoke, as he began to lead the group to the facility. Kradd @Avenging-Angel Kradd rudely bumped into the Twi'leks side, and turned his head to look at her. But instead of a scowl, his face was rather...elated. "Glad to see you guys made it. We have A. Lot. To discuss." he whispered, making sure he was out of earshot of Dramel. He gave Nat a wink and then immediately picked up his angry demeanor once more and trudged on past the rest of the group. Nexnip @UnluckyFellow "This man is an idiot." Nexnip plainly stated under a hushed tone, rubbing the bridge of his nose with his fingers. Why this had to be the first mission after leaving Kushibah he had no idea. Was it the Galaxies way of telling him he made the wrong the choice? Because it was getting to be very convincing if that was the case. If this pirate lord was as dangerous as his ego made himself out to be then he'd put the Sith to shame. It was clear that Nex's patience was wearing thin just listening to the guy. He audibly sighed and laid his head on Cyrus's shoulder.
Delibrately Unnamed Asteroid @GobMaw_HellSmasha | Shifting her attention away from Dramel and the departing mercs Na'tala cast her gaze upon the facility. A single multi-storey tower was at the center, shorter rectangular buildings attached on all four sides at the base, and several mine-shafts were laid out in two long rows, tracks leading from each shaft to the landing pad. Jets of gas were constantly emerging from two of the shafts, ancient machinery producing the asteroid's atmosphere, and Na'tala paused as she passed the one, feeling the bursts of life-giving air as they leapt from the pit. "This all reminds me of what I've heard about Kessel." Spoiler Sorry for the poor quality. We'd be on the landing pad. @TechCaptain can choose somewhere near the tower to put his workshop. Posted an up-to-date image with atmo generators included.
The workshop was little more than a closet that had a hallway on the backside pf it. This workshop was cluttered but was extremely neat and organized for a pirates haven. The Engineer himself was missing though. Kirluth was using the glow of his arms to explore his surroundings as the doors were sealed by some ancient mechanism. He was working on translating what he could of the script that was on the walls and doors. They mighy contain clues to his escape.
@UnluckyFellow | @Avenging-Angel | @Vulpas | @Casavay | @Kalle Allkyl Dramel The Arkanian pirate lord led the group to a turbo-lift in the center most building. "My Office is on the top floor." he said addressing to the group. As the turbo-lift went up to the the top floor and the doors opened the group had their senses immediately assaulted by loud trashy music, an assortment of smells a grand majority of the species in the galaxy would consider to be unpleasant, and sights more akin to a harem then an office room. On the left side there was a working bar with a rather nervous looking human bartender attending it. Around ten or so women of a variety of species, wearing outfits some would instantly recognize as dancer attire greeted Allkyl with smiles on their faces as he stepped out of the turbo lift. Despite their outward appearances, the forcesensitves in the party can practically feel the utter contempt they truly had for this man. They unfortunately had no means of acting off these emotions, as the room had no less then 6 active droidekas positioned strategically throughout the room, while two the droidekas flanked either side of the large couch placed in the middle of the room. Allkyl made himself comfortable on the large central couch as he looked upon the crew. "Now then, let's discuss business." he said laying back, stretching his arms out on the couch. His arms wrapped around a Nautolan and a human woman, as he smirked at the group. "You see, I have- well...had- a Miraluka under my employ. He was tasked with finding a way of opening up the Jedi temple or whatever it is that we excavated so we can clean it out for all of its plunder. However, he dissapeared shortly afterward and I've haven't had any luck on opening the blasted thing since. And this is where your lot comes in." He leaned forward looking at the group as a whole. "I need you to open up that temple for me, and then you can have whatever Jedi nonsense you came here for as was agreed. Sounds like a fair deal? Now if you have any questions regarding the matter...you can ask Kradd for the details. He's had a more...hands approach then I've had. And if you happen to have any plans on 'altering this deal' of ours. Well..." Allkyl waved his hand in the air and the pair of Droidekas that flanked either side of Dramel's couch immediately turned their attention on the group, blaster arms raised and readied. "I suggest you make it interesting for me..." Kradd Kradd, on the other hand had his arms crossed, looking less than thrilled with being in Dramel's "Office". He was impatiently tapping his foot as he stood near the turbo-lift, already waiting on getting out of the office as soon as possible. One could just tell by looking at him that if the Rodian had a watch on him he'd be counting the minutes till they can leave. Nexnip @UnluckyFellow "Gee, and here I was thinking we were just starting to get along with the guy" the kushiban snarked while looking toward the Jedi he was currently hitching a ride on. "How many times have we had guns pulled on us since we got here?" "Paranoid much? Look, if you really don't want us to be here. We'll just leave. We have better things to get to." he said looking stoically at the Arkanian in front of him before turning to look back at Cyrus. "...we do have better things to get to right?" "On the contrary short stuff, I'm only looking after my best interests" replied Allkyl, "there are a few groups of people on this rock that don't exactly agree with me being in charge here. Other crime lords that think they have what it takes to wrestle control from me. And so far whenever they tried anything, things get...messy. I'm just being smart about the whole ordeal." "I'm sure you are..." Nexnip snarked back in return, the sarcasm prevalent in his voice causing the Arkanian to sneer at him in response.
Office Harem @GobMaw_HellSmasha | The interior of Dramel's 'office' looked more it belonged in a Hutt's palace than in a mining facility, even if it now was in the possession of a crime lord. Sharing suggestive looks with some of the dancers Na'tala shied away from the droidekas, a half-scowl on her face. It wasn't surprising that Dramel wasn't in complete control of his private kingdom, most likely meaning that Kradd worked for one of the other factions. Heading over to the bartender when the war-droids flanking Dramel pointed their blasters at the group, knowing that the 'silent help' nearly always knew more than their employers, Na'tala leant against the bar, watching the room and trying to not breathe so much and so deeply. "So, how long has Dramel been claiming to be top dog here?"
