Cyrus raised an eyebrow as Sapina used her lightsaber as a knife. A but inappropriate he thought but probably a decent way to keep your skills sharp. He activated on end of his lightsaber and twisted the dial in order too attenuate the blade a bit. He twirled the hilt around in a few times in the path of the potatoes, hopefully not making a complete mess of them. "Heh, if Nex saw this I bet he'd think we were goofing off."
Qwella's House The female Kushiban's face fell slightly as NexNip explained his mission, but settled into an understanding expression halfway through. A face of sadness, but the sadness of one who more than understood his reasons for doing what he does. Slowly, but with certainty, she took hold of the young Jedi's hands. Gently. “NexNip...”, she quietly began, her voice not as decisive as her body language was, “I... I don't think that I can understand all that, really...” After a moment's pause, she looked directly into his eyes. “But... I... I can't be so selfish, right? You have an obligation! A-and that's more important. I'll be waiting, I swear!” “...but it'd... it'd be nice if you didn't leave immediately, right? You have some time?” NexNip Family Home The old Jedi simply chuckled at Cyrus' reluctance and subsequent attempts at cutting, displaying her maternal mirth openly. “Well, not all of it is high technology and ancient tradition. Sometimes, the simplest of tasks can be an efficient training method.” Somewhat amusedly, the gawking Zuri interjected “It's true. I have seen Katarn shave himself with his sabre on missions.” Of course, the potatoes were horrifically slaughtered, or at least seemed so, because Sapina still seemed to deem them fit for eating and dumped them into the pot. “An excellent exercise for the travelling Jedi young and old – find ways to practice precision and control through mundane means. Everyone can train using expensive and ancient equipment. But using tubers? Hah, that requires thinking, and applying what you've learned!” While talking, the Kushiban pulled the pot over the fire and demonstrated, once more, what she'd been talking about by using the plasma blade to swiftly slice and dice a bunch of innocent roots. Suddenly, she called out, “Think fast!”, and hurled an armful of nightshades at her son's master.
@Casavay "Qwella..." his eyes started to water as he looked upon this wonderful girl. This girl who was clearly too good for him, and yet he some how has her willing to wait for his return. That just made him even more nervous. If he left her, she'd wait for him again. If he left her, he'd leave her with so much worry, he would plague her mind until his return. If he didn't come back, he'd be damned. He had to come back. "No...I don't have to leave right away...I'll be here for as long as I can" he pressed his forehead to hers as he tried to control his breathing. His hands tightened slightly around her's, just so he can convince himself she was still there with him and that this wasn't fantasy or a figment of his mind. She wouldn't be able to understand. He didn't want her to know anyway. All of the evil in the Galaxy seemed so far away and insignificant at this moment. His worries and fears slipping away as he looked upon her. Her mere presence was enough to put his mind at ease. "My obligations can wait. You're more important then that. Right now, there's nothing else, just us. I'll stay for as long as I can get away with." he chuckled and looked back into her eyes, "but I think I can be a tiny bit selfish right now, and stay here with you...but if I do decide to leave...I'm not sure when I'd be able to return. It could be weeks. It could be months. It could be years..." He held Qwella's hands a little tighter, he looked her right in her eyes and drew a breath. "I want you to know. That if I do go. I go because I want to keep you safe from what the Galaxy can bare on you. I fight so you don't have to subject yourself to such pains. I go out there, so I can protect you and everyone else on Kushibah. I'd defend you with my life, because a life without you is one not worth living." He caressed the side of her face, lightly brushing it with his currently interlocked hand. "But if I go, I will return. And when I do, it will be for good. I promise. I won't leave you again."
Qwella's Home "NexNip..." Qwella moved closer, into a hug. She rubbed her nose against his as her own eyes begun to legitimately tear up. Overtly, it was hard to tell whether she was crying of fear, sadness, or maybe even joy, but there she was, soon haemorrhaging tears alongside her chosen mate. And NexNip could sense her emotions were much too complicated to be put in simple terms - falling onto many different spectra, positive and negative alike. "Nexi... I know you... and you don't have to say sorry. You're not lying. You keep to... keep to your promises. Let's... let's not cry." The Kushiban was tripping over her own words, her voice trembling as she refused to let him go. "Let's not... be sad... and... and use the time we have to make some new, happy memories for both of us, okay?"
NexNip Family Home "Sounds brilliant," Kass quipped. "Sadly, I can't boil water by firing blaster shots into it," he pointed out, as he reclined on a little pillow he'd fashioned out of his rucksack and a jacket. "Would have been lovely while camping." The ex-spacer had seized the opportunity to relax, content with leaving the Jedi to do soul-fulfilling slave labor.
@Casavay Qwella's Home "I..." he found himself at a lost words. He sensed how Qwella was feeling. She didn't want to let go. A feeling he reciprocated all too well. She was hurting. Her emotions were all over the place, and it only hurt him more to feel what she was going through. Her own pain was an echo of his. "Thank you..." he mustered up, "Thank you...for everything, Qwella." He embraced her hug with his own. He held onto her. He could feel her heart beating in her chest. He looked at her face, her eyes watering with tears, as were his own at this time. At this moment, in his mind, there was no one in the entire galaxy but them. There was no war. There was no conflict. There was no Republic nor Empire. There was no Jedi nor Sith. There was only the two them. This reunion he fought so hard to achieve. He wasn't going to spend it dreading his departure. He was going to enjoy it. With the most important woman in his world. "Now...let's not dwell on the future. For we live in the present. And right now, I'm here with you. So let's make sure we can enjoy each other's company." he smiled at her and chuckled, "I didn't come back home alone. And I'm not just talking about my father. I have some friends who have been traveling with me that you should meet. Unless you want to keep this private and between us. Whichever you'd prefer."
Kushibah - Waterfall @Vulpas | The water felt so good on her skin as Na'tala swam the length of the lake, her movements occasionally jerky when she lost rhythm. If she had to keep bailing into lakes to escape the Imps her swimming had better improve! Hauling herself onto an outcrop near where the waterfall thundered into the lake Na'tala stretched out, basking in the warmth of the sun, and glanced at the shoreline, shouting out to Kai. "Why don't you go for a swim?"
Qwella's Home Entirely taken by surprise at his request, Qwella blinked at her mate, confusion in her large eyes. "I... uhm... Well... If they're your friends, I won't mind? If they're very good friends... b-but I'd rather keep you for myself..." The female hugged him tight. NexNip Family Home The female Jedi chuckled. "Luckily, we have the fire to take care of that! If you really do not know, I am certain I can teach you how to make a fire all by yourself! Come, do not be shy!" With a hand motion, she beckoned the Offshoot over.
@Casavay Qwella's Home "Woah there Qwella! I haven't known you for being the selfish type." he said with a sly grin, "or is this just a side of you I've never seen before?" Nexnip couldn't help but chuckle at Qwella. He held onto her and looked into her eyes. She couldn't be blamed for how she felt at this moment. Wanting to keep him for herself. The feeling was mutual on his end too. They've been apart for too long. Far too long. They needed some quality time alone. They both deserved it. So he looked at her knowingly. Letting her see that her decision didn't leave him dissapointed. If anything, he was happier hearing her speak her mind. He couldn't agree with her more. "Well then, my dear. As you wish. If you want me to be here with you, then that's where I'll be. They'll understand, I'm sure of it. Truth be told...I'd like to spend as much time with you as I can possibly get away with." He gave her a quick kiss and a smirk as he looked toward his chosen mate. This young woman that was clearly out of his league, and yet stayed with him through it all. If there is such a thing as luck, he clearly held a monopoly on it to be able to woo such a girl like her. "You know, it's really not fair. All of this time has passed and you've only grown more beautiful. While I must look like I've came out of a smoldering wreck. I'm amazed you're still willing to put up with this ugly mug of mine. You must have the patience of goddess, you certainly have the looks of one."
@Avenging-Angel "Hmmmmm Sure." Kai said deciding to go for a swim. Deciding to get quickly dressed into a body glove of his. He came out to me nat in the water. (Still with his helmet on) Kai slowly got into the water. "One of the few times I have been swimming. I maybe a fast in space but I will be a bit slower in the water." Kai said as he slowly entered the water.
