@Uriel1339 Nexnip was absolutely ecstatic. Seeing his home planet for the first time in fifteen years really raised the younger Kushiban's mood. He was positively beaming. He was finally home. After so long, after so much trouble, after all their suffering. They were home at last. He wasn't sure who he should introduce to who first, or who to greet, or what to see. He spent a good minute just taking in the smells alone. Such a thing he didn't think he missed, or even would have noticed. But he did, and he appreciated each minute he had on this planet. He ran circles around his father in sheer joy. He was home, his father was home, this was no longer a dream. This was happening. "I missed this place, it has been far too long." he glanced over to his father and nodded toward him, "for the both of us." @UnluckyFellow | @Kalle | @Casavay | @Vulpas | @Avenging-Angel He looked toward the rest of his group. His friends, his compatriots, his closest allies. He smiled at them as he waited for them at the end of the ramp. "Well, welcome to Kushibah" he stated happily toward the crew, "I hope you don't get too used to this sort of environment. These starports- small as they-are just about the only proof we have of being apart of the galactic community. After this, well, admittingly we don't have much in the means of accomendating alien species of...well...all of yours stature. We like to keep our lives simple here so hopefully you can find an appreciation of it." Simply looking around the port, his head darted looking around it before his focus readjusted back toward their group. "Our village should only be a few minutes away from this place, let's get going."
@Kalle Cyrus yawned as his heavy boots clanked down the durasteel ramp to their ship, followed shortly by Rondo who appeared to be equally tired. The Jedi lazily hefted his pack up, dreading the long march that was to come before they could finally reach the wonderful village of too much fluffy Nex and Minlan originally came from. He was trying his best not to nod off as even spoke in that groggy tone of first waking up. "Ya..kind of thinking an all nighter was a really bad idea. We've got a twenty mile march so guess I can say goodbye to any feeling in my legs. By the way, where the heck did you learn to move like that, Rondo?" @GobMaw_HellSmasha He took a good look around. It was pretty clear that even where actual structures had been put that the planet was fighting every minute to reclaim the land. The road leading away from the spaceport was simply a well worn footpath and the forest was thin enough that one could look back beyond the treeline and see for quite some distance. The world seemed much more confined than Talus but it still seemed quite nice. "Well it would be kind of rude to expect large dwellings. That's why we packed the hammocks. Hopefully there's enough trees for all of us."
@UnluckyFellow "You've got to realize that before I started a new and better life as a wanted man, I was giving Zeltros belly dancers, wookiee waltzers, and dug tap dancers a run for their credits in all kinds of events," he explained delicately, as he shuffled along with his hands in his pockets. Despite his new Resistance allegiance, Rondo hadn't done away with all of his old mannerisms.
@Kalle Cyrus shrugged. "Should have guessed it was something like that. Just color me surprised though, considering Swing is a completely different style to just about everything else. Cheers though for sharing my taste is vastly underappreciated music. Think I actually read somewhere that tends to be because it hurts the hearing of quite a few species or something."
@UnluckyFellow "Well that you don't have to worry about Cyrus." He said with a light chuckle, "Kushibah has no shortage in trees." His face changed to a more nervous expression, a thought just coming to his head. "Uhh...we might have to hang those hammocks a bit higher up though." he said trying to push past the thought of predators attacking his friends, "Rather not take any chances with any Xinkra or other predators attacking you guys in the middle of the night. Maybe we can get some extra torches burning, just in case." He could tell his master wasn't looking forward to the trek to their village. But Nex was happy with it. What was a twenty minute walk compared to the fifteen years he spent away from his home. He was here now, the least he can do is enjoy it.
Kushibah Heading down the landed gunship's ramp Na'tala got a good look at Nex's homeworld. It reminded her of the world she'd been originally trained on, a world whose name she still didn't know. That had also been a largely untamed planet, its settlements growing upwards rather than outwards, and she almost felt at home on Kushibah, a wide smile on her face as she slowly turned in place. The walk to Nex's village wouldn't really be a problem on her body, the year spent on Yavin IV had done wonders, and Na'tala looked forward to it, having spent the greater part of her life on space stations and heavily built-up planets.
@GobMaw_HellSmasha As Kai and the others left the ship after he landed and had Urian secure the ship Kai looked around the space port wondering now what Kushibah used as a primary trading resources. Guess were coming to his mind as mostly agircultureal products as he and the others were in a group walking with Nex he looked to the Kushibah. "So Nex what do Kushibah use as trade with the rest of the universe? Is it some kind of food they harvest?" Kai asked as he looked to his friend.
@Vulpas "Well you see Kai, that's how we've been able to go undisturbed by the Galaxy at large. Kushibah has been seen as useless due to the lack of any advanced technology and resources." He scratched the back of his neck and raised a finger up remembering something integral to the Kushiban community. "We do exclusively trade silkweed however. Which is a sort of plant we use -as well as weaving it with brushed out bits of our own fur- to create fabrics that range in a wide variety of colors. I'm surprised not many people know of Kushibah. I can bet that a good amount of their clothes are made from silkweed." "The only issue with trade for us is not that we don't have anything to trade the Galaxy, it's the Galaxy that doesn't have anything worth trading with us. We don't need much of what they offer. At most we take simple agricultural tools, torches, vegetables and fruits from time to time. Credits is something that's pooled together and to be used across all of Kushibah. We keep our lives simple, we don't need all of this fancy technology, we have no use for it. We don't hunt, we're herbivorous. We don't need to cook, we eat a majority of our foods raw. We don't need storage because we just harvest what we need for the day and let the rest grow. We live with our planet, unlike the rest of the Galaxy that tries to live against it. No offense, but I've seen many planets where the only green there are the people living on it."
@Uriel1339 | @Avenging-Angel | @UnluckyFellow | @Kalle | @Casavay | @Vulpas -I guess time skip to village- After the allotted amount of time it took to walk from the spaceport, the crew finally made it to Nexnip's and Minlan's village. From an outsiders perspective, it would have looked like any other dense forest of trees that they passed up along the way. The only evidence of any sort of civilization there was a well worn path created by the many Kushiban feet that have walked the it day by day, the lit torches spread across trail keeping the trail alit with the amber glows of the flame. The wider trunked trees had holes purposely placed high above the group, at least three meters above them, though some holes seemed to be placed even higher then that. Kushiban of various ages could be seen carrying baskets filled with recently harvested produce. Many of which simply stopped what they were doing and stood there as they looked upon the new arrivals, as if the crew's presence interrupted their daily routine. Their ears lifting up in aspect curiosity at the group. The holes in the trees had little Kushiban heads poking out of them, the inhabitants within clearly aware of their presence and looked down at both the strange and the seemingly familiar faces alike. The group continued down the path, gaining the attention of villagers along the way until they came to another tree on the path. Said tree was seemingly indistinguishable from the rest. And yet Nexnip and Minlan both looked upon it with a fondness one would have for home. From outside the tree, four Kushiban turned to look at them. As they paused in the middle of scampering up to their home. The eldest Kushiban of the three was the first to look upon the group. As she turned toward them, and as her eyes met both Minlan and Nexnip they widened for a mere moment, before slowly welling up with tears. The taller Kushiban following behind her looked remarkably like an older Nexnip, but his eyes were covered in a cloth tied around the back of his head, and upon his face was a -now healed- scar of a claw mark that streaked acrossed. His ears shot up as he turned his head to face the group. The two smaller sized Kushiban, that looked like mirror images of each other -save the visible differences between male and female Kushiban- both turned toward the group simultaneously after the other two. Both of them positioned on either sides of the eldest. Nexnip practically galloped toward the group as he ran in, hugging the elder of four. "Hi mom...I'm home..." Nex was able to choke up through his tears of joy. After he went about the group, embracing them all in a tight hug for each them, he looked toward his compatriots. As if suddenly now becoming aware of their presence. "Right, uhh, where to begin." he said excitedly, "gang, this...this is my mother, Sapina. Kellip, my big brother. And these two little ones are the twins, Mino, and Mina." He looked toward his father, and back toward the twins as he addressed the both of them personally. "Mino, Mina," he started as he looked back up to the Kushiban he traveled for fifteen years to bring home, "this is your father..." He glanced back toward his father to address him this time, "Dad...these are the twins I told you about. My little siblings...Your son and daughter. Mino and Mina..." "So...uhhh...what do I say first...oh I guess I can start with saying how sorry I am about making you all nervous wrecks...sorry that it took so long...and I guess I can say how amazing it is to be able to see all of you again. I still can't believe this is actually happening."
Despite his and Rondo's late night partying, the march to the fluffy village was not nearly as hard on the Jedi as he initially feared. Despite the fact that it took most of the day, the march did at least seem to go by in the blink of an eye. For most of it he actually hung back with Rondo, chatting about the various musical talent they both appreciated, awkward situations, and just in general laughing it up. Cyrus just enjoyed having a friend as well- traveled and charismatic as the offshoot. The jedi had always dreaded being the center of any kind of attention in a social gathering, so the fact the offshoot could carry the conversation with very little prompting allowed him to relax a bit. Cyrus probably felt more at home on Kushibah than he would on say...Corellia. The path made it obvious that the planet was populated but there was no noise from the cities or the hum of engines filling the sky. Replace the forests with valleys and grassland and you'd have something fairly close to Talus. The comfort allowed him to shoves his worries to the back of his mind, namely what his apprentice would decide to do. He'd been around Nex enough to realize between fur and tone of voice when speaking with Master Skywalker that the thought had at least crossed the fluffy apprentice's mind. Over the last year, they'd just fallen into a routine thus shoving the possibility of Nex staying completely out of Cyrus' mind. He'd completely forgotten they'd ahve to deal with it when they brought Minlan back home. Cyrus just had to remind himself that his apprentice was free to make whatever decision he wanted and it would thus be his duty to support it. Cyrus just smiled bowed his head to the gathered family of Kushiban, lowering it a bit more with regards to Nex's mother. He was sure there would be questions but now was Nex's and Minlan's time.
