The jedi sat against the wall while trying to regain a bit more of his energy. Over the last decade he'd learned more about the galaxy than he could have imagined back on the farm on Talus but this was a bit too much. The Emperor and Vader were still well within living memory, and here this new sith lord hand already come to take their place. The difference in their ability was staggering, Cyrus wondered how such an individual had hidden themselves from master Skywalker before now, such was the veil the Dark Side could pull over the eyes of the Jedi he guessed. He sighed, giving the fluffy force-sensitive a soft look. "Well from the introduction...I'd say that was Darth Onii. I don't know how he came to be a sith lord but he spoke the truth when he said he could have killed us all here and now. The real question should be is he the master or the apprentice?"
His eyes widened at the sheer thought of what the Jedi just said to him. "There's...another one?" He asked, mood fur changing to a worried orange. He couldn't even begin to think which one was the man they encountered. The idea that there was another one entirely hit him like a blaster shot to the chest. "Are...are we so sure there's another one?" He asked with a puzzled look on his face. "What this...Darth Onii said...he wanted me to join him...he could be a master looking for an apprentice..." "And he seemed rather interested in me...I'm not exactly thrilled with that..." He just clutched his head, still trying to wrap his brain over everything that happened here.
Cyrus shrugged. The thought of this Kel Dor only being the apprentice just showed him how much more training he needed to even stand a chance of defeating the sith lord, if he was presumably the weaker of two. "It's very possible that he is indeed the master but we can't rule out the possibility that he would simply want your power to help overthrow his own master. For all we know now, he may not even be following the old traditions at all." At this point he got up from his sitting position against the wall and started arranging the bodies of the crew and stormtroopers in the same dignified manner as Alastain. "As much as I hate to say it though, he has accurate senses. You have great potential in the Force but it's untempered and fueled by emotion. And if you aren't careful, that path leads only to the Dark Side."
Exhausted from the battle, Zuri did nothing but fold up her gun and holster it before scooping up her little friend, holding him close to her chest and sitting down against a wall, watching Cyrus work with the dead and talk to NexNip. Her red eyes only looked Alastain over for a brief moment. Zuri wasn't sure what to think. He had been a good soldier, and that was basically all she knew about him. Had this man been born in her world, he'd probably been a military leader by now. But he was human, and for some reason, fought on the side of these chaotic rebels in a war the alien did not 100% understand or appreciate. And the military academy graduate had heard NexNip apologise, but she did not know what for. From the words of Cyrus, she could extrapolate that all these force phenomena had been her fuzzy friend's doing - if so, it wasn't his fault. Her great dislike of Jedi would not undo their friendship. "It's fine", she simply conceded, feeling it more convenient to just 'forgive' him his imaginary charges than to inquire further. The Chiss couldn't help but add something to Cyrus' and NexNip's discussion. "There's a lot of these evil Jedi, actually. I ran into them before, and you can talk to Katarn or Korr if you want intel, I suppose."
"Dark side...old traditions...I haven't a clue what you're talking about..." Nexnip admitted to the Jedi. At this point the little hair ball has been able to calm himself down and catch his breathe a tad. His fur slowly changing to a light gray. He still wasn't completely over the events that have transpired. No one seemed to be at this moment. "But if that...monster...wants me to help him...for whatever reason...then he's nuts." He let out a small "Ow" as he clutched his head again. Why did he hurt so much? He felt the mother of all headaches wracking his brain at the moment. Though getting out of this with a headache and other aches pains was preferable then a box. "Katarn..." He said, trying to register what Zuri just chimed in with. His eyes lit up when it finally registered. "Do...do you mean Kyle? The Jedi we-well you because I was currently-well actually he ran into us...that doesn't really matter. Do you think he can help us?" He looked up into his Chiss companions face. The expression on his face slowly fading away from the sullen expression earlier to a light smile. "I like him...he's a good guy. In fact I think he's the only Jedi we came across that you haven't scoffed at or told me you hated after we met them." He then looked back at the Jedi in the room realizing what he just said aloud. "Err...no offense Jedi...okay I can't keep calling you that, it feels weird...and I never caught your name..."
The jedi chuckled. "We've still got a way to go before we get to Yavin-4, so I can fill you in once we're properly under way again. And it's Cyrus, do you have one or shall I just call you fluffy?"
"Nexnip...or just Nex if you want." He looked down at the collar around his neck. Like many other well made pet collars in the Galaxy they came with a small tracking device in the collar in the event that they run away from home or get lost. It was the one reason that he never took it off...well that and he just simply doesn't know how too. He wasn't sure how too feel about that. "Or Jinx if that suits your fancy." He said reading aloud the name embroiled on the collar "uhh...long story about that."
"And I'm sure it's quite an amusing one, so you'll have to share some time. " Once all the bodies were lined up and any missing err...pieces placed back with...maybe who they belonged to, he took a seat on the wall near Zuri and Nex. "Well since you didn't take our sith friend up on his offer, would you take up mine? Normally you'd stay at the academy considering there are still so few of us but I think Master Skywalker would make an exception."
She would never admit that it wasn't subconscious, but Zuri petted Jinx softly as she - who knew little more about Jedi than him - reflected on Cyrus' words. "Katarn is a good man. He was an Imperial soldier once. We can trust him." It was telling of Chiss society that she considered his Stormtrooper honours as a badge of worth rather than a reason for suspicion. "And he is, after all, one of the most important allies of Skywalker." Zuri eyed the Jedi in the room with a mixture of suspicion and weariness. "And my lack of dislike is because he does not act like a cultist. You understand that to someone who lives on smoke, mirrors, and high explosives, your abilities and habitus are extremely... aggravating."
"She means to say that your magic hoody doo makes her feel inferior-errrrr...umm..." He looked back up at his Chiss friend, "Sorry" he said, just now realizing what he said. He felt the Chiss petting him as the talk went on. He didn't mind it at this point, it felt nice anyway, though he wouldn't admit it. Not that he had too, his mood fur betrayed what he felt about it anyway. Not that the Jedi would have caught on about Kushiban intricacies, but he knew Zuri had a fair bit of that knowledge by now. He looked back toward the Jedi, still trying to take in all of this information. A day ago he was just a Kushiban with spots of odd coincidences and luck occurring to him and those around him. And now he finds out he's magic. It has been a long day indeed. "Offer to what?" He asked, ears perking up to better to hear the Jedi. "You don't mean...become a crazy magic-I mean err...Jedi, right? Do you actually believe I -and this is me we're talking about here -I...can be a Jedi? "
