@GobMaw_HellSmasha Cyrus moved his feet above his knees so that there was no need to physically hold them crossed as he was slowly, if a bit shakily, lifted up by Nex. This exercise was one that most of the new padawans went through more as a refresher than anything else. Unfortunately Nex wasn't really in the right place to have a more formal education. He'd just have to make due with using their Force bond to aid in his control. By Cyrus' reasoning, that would allow the little Kushiban to be able to better use his powers when Cyrus himself was not present. "Good Nex, good. Now just hold that as long as you can. Try to aim for right about an hour." He floated over one of the books they'd gotten and began to read allowed from it. "It is thought that for most sentient life, with a few notable exceptions, that the most basic unit making up our functioning bodies is the cell. Further making up those cells are what we have come to call elements. Things like Durasteel and Tibana gas, though technically made up of more than one element. It's combinations of the three basic units of the atom that determine an element's characteristics..." The Jedi rambled on for a few more minutes with his very basic explanation of atomic theory. While he was doing that, he started to ever so slowly rotate Nex about his long axis.
@UnluckyFellow Nex kept his eyes closed throughout the session. He found it easier to focus if he didn't have visual information there to distract to him. Watching what was unfolding was unnecessary, he didn't need to look to know it was happening. Because for one, Cyrus told him on his own, and he knew that he could just do it anyway. Cyrus asked for him to be held there for an hour, too bad he didn't really have a good grasp on what exactly an hour is. He just knew it as a rather long amount of time. But it didn't matter, he was just going to try to keep it going for as long as he could, whether it was for an hour or not was not something to be concerned about. He took in deep breaths, with slow exhales. He just needed to remain relaxed, calmed, and focused. His family's well being was at stake here, everything he held close to his heart was at risk. He had to become the best Jedi that he could possibly be. But there was no reason to put any thought into those worries, they didn't exist for right now. Right now, everything was peaceful and serene. There was nothing to worry, nothing to fear. Just his training and nothing else. He kept himself quiet and put his concentration on his goal. One hour Cyrus says. He'll do it. He can.
And so the rest of the day passed by, hour by hour. Until at the late evening the group once again came together, incidentally all arriving at the entrance at the same time. Cyrus and NexNip, accompanied by Minlan. As well as Na'tala and Kotehp. The third couple was Zuri and Kass. As 'coincidence' wanted, Urian who was with Na'tala just started to beep and blurp, receiving a transmission and directly forwarding it, it was a recording however and not a live transmission. The image of Mon'Calamari Admiral Ackbar was projected. "Ackbar to New Republic. We shall arrive in estimated ten hours (dawn) in orbit of Ithor, there will be not much time, be swift and be ready to depart when we enter the orbit. It appears there are troubling news, more details will follow once you are on-board." Spoiler: OOC: @Avenging-Angel | @Casavay | @Kalle | @GobMaw_HellSmasha | @UnluckyFellow
Green Jewel - Lobby - Kotep @Casavay | Seeing the Chiss alive and seemingly none the worst for wear, Kotep blearily smiled, the man still clutching a bottle of alcohol and his words slurred. "How did your hunt go?"
@Avenging-Angel (Well, technically @EveryPersonInThisRP1337) | Standing by the side of Kass, Zuri waved her hand slightly at Kotep, glad to see the Mando again - she did not really dare to speak to the lapine, and so pretended not to notice NexNip fairly incompetently. "It went acceptable. Onii is dead. A tragic outcome, but a consequence of my profession, after all." Then, it hit her, and she turned to Kass shortly, clenched her hands and quickly rose the balled fists to chin level. "I... I'm a jedi killer now!"
Cyrus beamed at the Chiss as he walked up with the two Kushiban. "Zuri! We thought you'd left. Still coming along with us right?" It was at that moment he'd heard about her victory over the Sith Lord. Immediately he was dumbstruck. "Wait what?! Onii is gone? But how....he....A damn fine job then."
@Casavay Nex, upon seeing Zuri rubbed his eyes, to ensure what he was seeing was for real and not just him seeing things. He wasn't sure how to think of her return. Did she return too stay? Did she just forget her blaster or equipment and just stopped by to pick it up. He was about to ask her why she returned to them, but more importantly, why she left in the first place. But before he could even work himself up to say something his questions were already answered. Zuri left to hunt down Onii? By herself? And not only that she succeeded in her hunt and disposed of the Sith. It all sounded so incredible, damn near impossible too. But she seemed rather confident in her response. It seemed as if it may have been the case. "You...you left to hunt down Onii?" he asked out of pure shock of what he just heard, "wh-why? You said before...you had no interest in helping us stop Onii...why would you go off on your own like that without us? Why would you endanger yourself with such an insanely dangerous quest...wh-why?" He couldn't quite comprehend what was going through the Chiss' mind to go out and hunt down a Sith Lord on her own. Did she just want to prove the Galaxy that she could have? Did she have a death wish? This was an answer he wouldn't even have needed to ask himself back in the days as her hunting partner. But now, he wasn't sure what to think of Zuri. Was she still the same Hunter that he traveled with all those years ago? Did that person ever exist? His mind couldn't register what was true and what was not about her at this time. He convinced himself that Zuri left because she cared more about the code then she did him. But then why would she have went out of her way to specifically hunt down Onii then? "But...there was nothing in it for you to hunt down Onii...wha...why did you..." he had a hard time believing she did so for his sake, that he was the reason Zuri took down a Sith. No. That wasn't how she operated, he knew better now. The thought hit him, exactly why the hunter would go out to strike down Onii. The only thing that spoke true to all hunters, the only way he rationalized it for himself. "Who wanted him dead?" he asked glumly, looking down to the ground, "how much did they pay you for the job?"
Green Jewel - Lobby - Na'tala @Casavay | Having been mostly oblivious to the events that the group had been part of Na'tala was just a bit confused, the Twi'lek looking wildly from one face to another. "Hunt? You were leaving Zuri? Onii's dead? What have I missed?" Was this all a reaction to Nex's father? Na'tala hadn't had much interaction with the elder Kushiban but she knew he'd ruffled everyone's feathers at the group meal a couple of nights ago.
Having calmed down from her brief hunter's high, Zuri looked down at the fuzzy people. "Hello, Jinx. And company." Na'tala and Kai recieved a twitch that almost resembled a flash of a smile, and the words "Twi'lek and Kai, as well. It is good to see you." Finally, she settled to adress Cyrus with a curt nod. "The short of it is that I plan to stay, and that all events that led to the Sith's demise are just part of the mystery that is me." With this said, she knelt down to who she'd considered her best friend. "You can accept that I came back out of my own volition, or you can forever question my motives. I am willing to ignore your father's poison if you are willing to suffer my company."
Nex looked up to Zuri. At first his face was devoid of any expression, he looked away for a second to contemplate. He couldn't bring himself to hate her, he couldn't even bring himself to dislike her. He still felt as though he owed the Bounty Hunter his life. He still considered her to be his friend. He would have liked to change the huntress' opinion about his father, but he knew such a thing can only occur over time. Such 'poison' did lead to bigger and grander things. Seeing Kass and Zuri together, and actually enjoying each other's company was a testament to that. He looked back to Zuri. And he smiled. She wasn't perfect, but she was still a close friend in his eyes. He lept to her shoulder. Taking his usual perch. He didn't realize how much he missed that. He looked back to her. "Alright, I'll give you another shot. For old times sake." he said, with his grin persisting. But then his face went blank. And it scrunched up in utter confusion as something dawned on him. Something important to the the situation at hand. "Zuri...did Onii have some sort of...talisman or something on him when you fought him?"
