They soon made it to the book store after another 10 minutes or so of walking. Cyrus pulled his hood down as they entered and took in a big breath of that old book smell. It was a small shop, only indicated from the outside by a single neon sign. "You should have a look around too, Nex. Books are pretty cheap so go wild." Cyrus figured the best place to start was from the beginning, so he started with the shelves and tables right by the door.

Eventually he grabbed three out of a pile, one of them entitled The Hungry Sarlacc. He went over to the lone Ithorian at the counter. "Don't suppose you'd happen to have any old history books or anything that survived the Empires information sanitation?"

Rondo had to admit, he'd very rarely meted out fiery justice upon the lawless, but he understood the heady feeling of being in command of a situation. He'd always enjoyed any situation where he could stack the odds in his favor and drag a victory out from underneath somebody's nose. Her conclusion was on-point: it was intoxicating. For a moment, he reflected upon what it must be like to be able to predict the game, play it to one's advantage, but also able to sway the minds of others like the Jedi did. He admired the Jedi, and Cyrus in particular inspired a kind of easy trust with his mere presence, but he could imagine exactly how devestating their gifts could be once employed arbitrarily.

    The Force wasn't everything, though.

As he listened to Zuri's recount of her becoming a bounty hunter, and her gradual departure from a lawman's ideals, he had to admit that he knew what it was like to be motivated by wanderlust, temptation, and dreams. It reminded him a lot of his own career. At the Chiss' somewhat defensive end to her tale, the spacer quirked his brows upward in bemusement. "Of course I know," he countered. She'd made him very thoughtful for a moment, and he'd taken to glancing out the window at some point as his mind spun together the story, but then he looked back to her and offered another of those easy smiles of his. "Thanks for sharing - I didn't think you were the type to be so open about their experiences," he had to admit. He liked it. He hoped she could see that he did.

Nexnip nodded to his master's suggestion of finding some books for himself. He wasn't sure exactly what to look for, but he figured at least one subject might be something of interest for him. Cyrus mentioned before that he'd have to have some knowledge of atomic theory if he was to better understand the examples Cyrus would have used to explain the force. He wasn't sure how useful such a book could be for him, his ability to read aurabesh wasn't the greatest. But he figured if anything that Cyrus or somebody with a better grasp on reading could help him read it if he ran into any trouble.

As he was wandering over to where he thought he'd find such a book he found himself distracted by the cover of a book. The cover was rather colorful, and had a little astromech on it that seemed to look right at him. He was barely able to make out the title of the book Droid's for Dummies. He couldn't resist this opportunity. So he took the book and presented it to Cyrus.

"Here you go Cyrus." he said, trying to hold back a chuckle, "something you might want to check out for yourself."

After his little gaffe, his attention was taken by even more colorful looking book covers. He didn't come to realize it himself, but Nexnip wandered into the kids section, and just looked at all the bright and vibrant coloration. He wasn't really trying to read their titles or anything, but he was able to read a couple on his own. Ricky Rat'Ong the Rancor Racer, The Great Krayt Dragon Caper, One Bantha Two Bantha Red Bantha Blue Bantha, The Littlest Jawa. All of the covers of which he found appealing in one way or another. He just looked about the section he was in, taking in all the visuals

Walking into the hotel lobby Na'tala paused for a second before heading into the dining area. She spotted Rondo and Zuri over at one table, eating something sticky by the looks of it, and moved to seat herself at an empty table, signalling a waiter.

    Ithor City - Kotep
The Mandalorian leant back in his chair, a nearly-empty pint glass in his hands. Part of him wondered if Zuri had encountered Darth Onii yet or if she was still alive. Taking a deep swig from the mug Kotep glanced down at the helmet next to him, his thoughts on what would happen to the galaxy when the Jedi & Sith finally clashed.

She did not smile back at him, but did not frown either - now that she was slowly getting rid of the awkwardness (or at least, exclusive awkwardness), the bounty hunter found herself quite comfortable talking to him.

"It is not my most well-kept secret", Zuri admitted, still somewhat clueless as to how to deal with her sullied hands. "What's the purpose of concealing my origins? And besides, if you are to trust me, you should know my motivations." The red-eye mostly stared at her massacred food while talking. It had tasted good, yes, in the same manner that candy tasted good - but the Chiss could not help but feel her lifespan shorten from it, iconic as it was. And it was extremely messy, as well. At least the company was pleasant.

"Say, what keeps you going? I'm sure your adventures are not self-motivated? Or is it really just curiosity that drives the mysterious Nagai businessman?"

"Nagai?" Rondo blurted out, completely taken aback by the assumption. He was left blinking a couple of times at Zuri, and then he chuckled. "It seems I've been much more secretive than I thought," he said, smiling wryly, and clearing his throat. "I'm an Arkanian, sort of. We're called offshoots; Arkania enjoys an artificially created, genetically modified working class. Arkanian source material was cloned, modified, and mixed with other species', to groom us for industrial labor," he explained. His eyes trailed out the window again, as he reminisced. "Me, I stole away on a merchant freighter when I was old enough to work, dropped off at the nearest port, and signed up with a crew. It was quite adventurous, but I guess it set the course for what's motivated me since: survival and freedom. Of course, I won't pretend that I'm not affected by greed. Everyone is. But it was always secondary to me. I guess I rationalize it with telling myself that luxuries and comforts are things I could never take for granted, coming from where I do, and that makes it freedom."

Cyrus looked down at the book being offered to him by his lemur-like companion. "Hah, you're going to be cheeky all day aren't you?" He couldn't help but laugh, although true be told the book would probably come in hardy especially if it listed some older droid types. He took the book and laid it on the counter with the others before turning to the Ithorian. "Right, any old school textbooks as well."

"I apologise, Rondo", Zuri sheepishly backpedalled, a blush worming its way back onto her face. "An 'offshoot' businessman, then. From what you tell me, I can see how you wanted to flee. After all, my life had been determined by a rigid system, as well... though probably less so than a labour caste." Genuine curiosity rang through her voice and was written in her face, the huntress obviously considering it a pleasant topic for a conversation with breakfast. "We're all somehow affected by greed. I will not deny I love being paid, though I am not someone to indulge in luxury... I save up for my retirement, and big sums are great for that. And having much money also leads one to have more freedom than others..." She fell silent for a moment, tapping her chin (marking it with an orange dot in the process) and then resumed, "I think we have this desire for freedom in common... but do you have something in mind for the end? I mean, you will not be this young, handsome and able forever."

"It's nothing to apologize for," Rondo quickly assured her, noting her blush, and then let her continue. He listened to her with a puzzled interest, as she brought up the topic of a retirement. Truth be told, he wasn't sure there was much of a retirement to be expected for him, but he didn't say that. He didn't want to. "I want to own land on an exotic world. My own forest, to treat as something between a garden and a playground. You know, keep the plantlife healthy and growing, shoot the animals I put on the table myself, and frolick in mother nature however I damn well please. Oh, and share it all with a lovely woman, of course," he added with a smirk.

After perusing about the kids section of the book store -and enjoying the looking at their covers- Nex wandered into the cooking section. Realizing he hasn't eaten anything all day didn't help with looking at all the book covers with food plastered all over it. Though he didn't seem to have a problem looking at any of the covers with steaks, roasts, or any other type of meats on it. He still didn't get what was so appealing about eating any of those things anyway. It just seemed...wrong from his standing. Why kill something to eat it when you can just feast off of what is already provided too you through vegetation. It seemed like a lot of extra work for no real purpose.

Then again, his moral standing on the issue came from a position as a prey species. But he didn't think that devalued how he thought on the matter.

And then he saw a particular cook book that caught his eye, Natures Bounty: A Vegetarians Guide to Fantastic Meals. His stomach made the decision before his mind could even respond, he picked up the cook book and wandered back over to Cyrus. He lightly tugged on the Jedi's robes to get his attention and held the book out in front of him.

"This one too" he informed his mentor, "though this one is more for me...umm... if you don't mind, Cyrus. Humans eat fruits and vegetables too right? I'm sure you could find something appetizing too"

As he said that his stomach audibly growled.

"Maybe we can find something too eat as well while we're at it..."
