Zuri couldn't help but stare back at those blue eyes, and laugh slightly, though not maliciously, at his words. She never considered herself good, or even a good person – whatever that meant. Lawful, yes, how could she not, as a person whose life and ethics were defined by laws and a codex. But usually, the bounty huntress never wasted much time on definitions of good and bad in the moral sense. That an outlaw like Kass would do so genuinely surprised her who had assumed he too would've lived in the world of grey and gray morality, as well. She ran a hand through her black hair. „Figuring out would be nice“, she said, settling into a smile that was not forced or artificial for once, the kind of smile few people could bring out of her – and it did not surprise her to feel the muscles of her face moving of their own volition, since he'd managed to cause this reaction before. For the last six years, the only other person who managed to unearth the genuinely positive reactions from her had been NexNip, after all. „But I believe other things need to be figured out more urgently.“ Right now, the last thing she wanted was to be reminded of her failings again.

„I have not eaten yet“, she stated duly, hoping he'd pick up on the subliminal message, then deciding to speak it out anyway, since she knew how hard they were to decipher at times. „I believe I will go to eat breakfast now... I am inviting you to join.“

Kass blinked at the sudden forwardness. It felt good, though. He stood up and indicated the door with a gesture. "Well, I'm starving," he said emphatically. "I'd love to join you," he added, sort of needlessly, and then he started towards the door to pull it open for them, and closed it behind them when they left the room. His hands was stuck into his pockets, and he didn't say much as they walked down to breakfast. "Doesn't look like any of the others are here now," he remarked idly, when they entered the dining hall. "So, guess it's the best food and the best tables for us!"

Cyrus meditation session actually went well for once. Any sort of worldly care got lost in the chorus of the cosmic Force. He couldn't pinpoint why but it seemed for the moment that there was a much smaller shadow of doom that loomed over the galaxy. Ever since he'd begun his training, that all encompassing sense that something very bad was going to happen in the somewhat near future had been there...and now it had retreated ever so slightly. During his session, Cyrus almost let hit hilt fall once when Rhodian speed metal started playing in his ear. Nothing would startle someone like a switch from classical to the awful noise that particular bug-eyed species called music.

An hour or so later and he was mentally drained but somehow refreshed, hopefully picking up that kind of exercise would give him that extra bit of time he'd need to properly train Nex. Strolling back towards their rooms, the Jedi stopped in front of the fluffy thing's room and knocked. "Hey Nex, are you up? Was gonna go for a stroll around the city, wanna go?"

Nexnip was stirred awake due to Cyrus's loud knocking. To the Jedi's credit though, he probably didn't realize how loud his knocks were. But Nex's Kushiban ears picked them up quite well. He yawned and stretched himself out. He looked around the room. He and his father were the only one's there. Kass must have left to get some fresh air or something. He'd have to check up on Kass to see how he was handling himself. But that could have waited, as long as he wasn't being targeted by anymore bounty hunters for the time being. He just hoped Bossk wouldn't show his scaly hide for the rest of their stay on Ithor.

"Sure thing Cyrus" he answered back after making sure he was wide awake, "but...umm...I don't feel comfortable leaving my father on his own though. You know...Sith lord with a vendetta. Not to mention a certain lizard that might be dumb enough to try something funny. I'd rather not leave him by himself if I could help it."

He looked to his father, probably stirring himself awake himself.

"How about a walk dad? Couldn't hurt to get some exercise. Need to make sure those old bones of yours are still going strong. Though I can understand if you just want to stay and rest and all." he said with a lighthearted laugh, "but you really should get something for yourself too eat. I don't want to see you wasting away because you just want to sleep. If I need too, I'll bring up a bowl of those berries for you."

And with that he leapt off the couch and headed toward the door. Though he didn't open the door yet, just in case his father wanted to join his son for the stroll. Nex felt that he was more then welcome to join them if he wanted.

"Indeed", replies Zuri, having lead Kass to the dining hall. At the very same moment, she was frying her brain in an attempt to find out whether she was making him assume that she believed herself to be of superior intelligence, and him to be unable to localise the food-fetching-place by himself. The Chiss had much preferred when she had not spent this much energy thinking, but this thrice-darned rogue and his... well, rogueish charms, they made her so... aware of her own awkwardness.

Eventually, after spending a moment frozen as her mental gears got stuck up like gum, she decided to just sit down and look up at the Nagai businessman. "Do you, er, sit next to me, or across? What do you feel like eating?" Immediately, she stood up again. They had to fetch their own food, didn't they?

    This was already going great.

Cyrus laughed from the other side of the door. "Understandable but I somehow doubt Onii would simply stroll into a hotel in broad daylight just to hunt down your dad. No matter though, if his pride can stomach it than you each can have a shoulder."

"I will eat, perhaps meet your Twi'lek friend Na'tala, she seems nice. You go and bond with your master." Minlan said with a soft smile and playfully shoo'ed him off with a hand gesture. Interrupted by his own yawn, holding a hand before his mouth to not be rude. He got slowly up and headed over to the bathroom.

With his fears at least partially relieved -and with a genuine smile on his face- he nodded toward his father. "All right then, I'll see you later." At the very least his father wasn't going to be alone and vulnerable. And it was nice to see his father wanting to get know his friends better on his own volition. It made him remember that the old Kushiban hasn't completely given up on them. What he would give for them to see each other as he saw all of them.

And with that gesture. He headed out the door and re-locked it behind him. He looked up to Cyrus and wordless jumped to his mentors shoulders. Last time he remembered doing this with Cyrus was back on Ord Mantell-with the whole Zabrak fiasco. If he never had to see that monkey lizard looking Zabrak ever again, it wouldn't have been soon enough his opinion. The vibes she gave off was cruel, malicious, downright evil even. Even if it felt different from Onii, he still could have gone the rest of his life not knowing that feeling-and he would have liked to keep it that way. Not wanting to dwell on those thoughts further he simply looked at Cyrus.

"Well...where too Master?" he paused for a bit and looked away, realizing what came out of his mouth, has he been calling him that all this time subconsciously? "...I hope I'm not required to keep calling you that Cyrus, that felt weird. But not like a bad weird really, more like a...hmm, how do I explain it...unfamiliar type of weird. It sounded too formal. I'm not one to use formalities or pleasantries. They seemed too manufactured and fake in my opinion, it just doesn't feel natural to me...if you're getting what I'm saying."

He paused a bit, and looked back to Cyrus.

"...unless you want me to keep calling you master. I don't know how the whole Jedi teaching things work in regard to that...I'll shut up if you'd like."

Cyrus just laughed and shoved his hands into his pockets as they walked off. "Nah, you don't have to keep calling me master. To be honest it sounds quite weird being called that but I certainly won't protest it like Master Katarn does given the chance." He thought for a bit as they walked out of the hotel and back onto the main promenade of Ithor City. "No idea to be honest, was kinda just thinking I'd try and find a couple neat little things for the family. And it stops me from just lazing about in the hotel the rest of the day, ya know?"

"Well...what sort of things were you thinking about looking for them?" he asked, legitimately intrigued at the proposition, "when I had my moment too...well mostly just lay on the ground, I did see a few shops at the Bazarr. First one to come to mind is a clothing store, I noticed they had a variety of clothes on display with some very vibrant coloration to them, was curious on if it was made with silkweed from back home. There was a toy store too if you wanted to pick up a souvenir for your brothers. Or we could just...stroll about...maybe find someplace maybe not."

His ears perked up. Almost completely on their own. On their way out of the hotel he could have swore he heard a familiar voice. The voice of his old bounty hunting partner in the hotel. He looked around briefly. He was probably just hearing things. Maybe Zuri leaving so soon hit him harder then he thought. He just shook his head, ridding himself of the thought and focused his attention back at Cyrus.

"As much as I'd like to relax we can't take all day finding things, still gotta go through my daily training afterall." His statement was partly to try to remind Cyrus, but mostly just to remind himself.
