Sprint Speed

    You guys think that characters in this game just sprint too fast atm? It seems strange but what were to happen if we were to slow the speed of all characters by at least 5%? It seems to me that the characters just move too fast for this game at its current stage, making fights a bit hectic and sloppy.

    I would think this would be a buff to ranged classes and a nerf to melee classes than the JPA but eh.

  2. Sprint speed is too fast, looks out of place.

    Transportation vehicles should be used for movement from A to B, and there is no need for sprint to be this fast.

    Spring should be a bit faster than normal combat jog.
    This would upp the need for transport vehicles and for more tactical gameplay, cause its hilarious that you see a great amount of players running towards a devastator zig zagging and surviving long enough to slap him in the face with melee

    Speaking as a HB Devastator, yes please. It would make tracking moving targets much easier, and I suspect that part of the hit registration issues is the speed at which everyone moves.

    Speaking as a player in general, no thanks. It's something that could very easily have much greater impact than expected. Decreasing speed would mean more hits taken, which would devalue defensive stats and shorten TTK, which are things that people already complain about.

    So I'm on the fence. I think it would be worth testing on the UAT though.

    The impact on the game could be pretty huge balance wise. As the above poster mentioned, TTK would be effected. But even map control would be an issue. Taking defended points could be harder because reinforcements are slower to arrive. Interuppting captures for obvious reasons.
    Combine this with how easily transports get destroyed, it can leave you with some serious mobility issues.
    That said, would 5% have a large impact? Who knows. Needs testing! Haha

  5. Only Eldar, the others are a little too fast but nothing i can't get over, Eldar on the other hand are nigh impossible to track.

    I'd say sprinting speed in general need a 10% reduction and Eldar's need a 20% or so reduction, walking speeds are fine though.

    If you reduce the sprint, people will just move forward by spamming their swords/knives light attack, which already moves faster than sprint.

    Leave speed of sprint as it is. TTK and advantages for ranged classes should be solved in different way.

  8. Fuck, it's too bad we can't reduce melee lunge distance in tandem with a sprint speed change.

    Ah finally a thread where i can share my idea for reworking movement:
    Yes Sprint i think is something that only LSM and CSM should use, Eldar already move so fast like the wind, that i rather remove the sprint for them but changing it for a mini-Dash with cooldown, and for the Orkz too because they should be always moving recklessly so instead of that "a mele grab" with of course Cd too.

    ahhh Dreaming is so beautifull.

    Speed is fine, game would feel sluggish if it was any slower.
    Plus, braced heavies already feel like they are on the duck season, shooting at you running.
