That's new for me, I thought that the Sternguard Veteran only uses ranged weaponry. For me, I choose Assault Marine, because I would like to focus on meele combat. My goal to became a Vanguard Veteran.
All marines have some form of melee weapon, it would be stupid not to give them something in the event they have to fight in close quarters/melee.
I voted tactical, devastator and techmarine(hope so) in this specific order. I prefer ranged tactical combat with a handful of grenades over melee fights.
My 2nd character will probably be a assault SM with no jectpack (if it's viable) Just the sergeant can have a power weapon (like every other SM sergeant).
Tough call! In Space Marine I loved the assault marine aproach, that was crazy fun, so if it plays like that I'd be tempted to go that route, in MMO's I already lean toward healers, so depending how apothocaries work that could be an option, and techmarines could also be very interesting!
I hope soo that I will able to unequip the jump pack. Yeah, I hought so, just you know, that unit specialised for ranged combat, and I can't imagine them, with both unique bolter and chain/power sword (exept the sergeant [and probalbly they have combat knife])
