Dude belongs in the space marine sub forum. Any who love the space Santa sad face because of space wolf flyer because flyers so god dayum OP. Any who seems legit my friend got it and he likes it so it's all good.
I get the Norse/Icy home planet backround that leads to the Space Santa...but still...what's next? Changing rhinos to longships and Leman Russ coming back from the EyE of Terror after discovering the new world? ...And there's always the possibility of the special unit called "Varangian Guard"... Next episode...Dark Angels join a great crusade to a place called Jerusalem and get annihilated by the King of a place called "Francia" because he owns them money... Then Blood Angels meet their archrival, a Chaos Champion named Van Helsing, on the new codex by B.Stoker... Lastly, Humans discover that,as orcs are mushrooms, they taste great on pizza and have some interesting "sideeffects" when eaten raw, and they become a delicacy...after that they become banned on many human planets as a drug... Ultramarines...well...for a strange reason I can't think any more over the top, exaggerated things for them...everything already happened...well maybe, the story of a chapter master meeting a queen named Cleopatra could work...
My opinion: The new ride for Logan Grimar is really ridicolous =/ Why do they inventing such things? Are there no ideas left for new models? For example a new Ragnar model, the old one is more a statue than a warrior. Same with Murderfang, nice idea, but a bare head ? One good shot and he is dead? (I didn't read the fluff for him yet, he is just a berserk). They could start to release all the wolf lords and stop making the existing ones more ridiculous =/ Despite of Ragnar all wolf lords who are released yet seems to wear a axe and a bolter-weapon ? strange..
It's too early to tell for sure, but sadly it seems that the book has gone the way of the Grey Knights and Blood Angels. Everything is being dumbed down and they're trying to make it more Saturday morning cartoon-esque to try and appeal to some perceived demographic. Just for starters, rather than doing the right thing and lessening the wolf influence on the chapter, it seems to have been taken up a notch.
My understanding of what little i know about Norse mythology is that Odin road on a chariot pulled by goats. So I think they went for that theme with the thunder wolves and Grimmnar. (Not saying it was a good call) As far as the character model of Grimmnar, (not the chariot) he looks great and I think the new addition/remodel of bjorn and brethren is a welcomed change. Those rumors about them killing him off were obviously just rumors. I'm curious to see the new helfrost cannons in action. Also interested in new literature to get my hands on.
