  1. Congratulations, your ego surpasses that of Spock and Lucius put together. Nathan is talking about lore and I answered that. Do you really think I wouldn't like Tau to be playable? The problem is that they are locked to a single segmentum by GW.

By directly pokeing that Tau according to the current fluff they have no reason to be in the game, and while that is true NO argument there, Tau is in all 40k games with multi-factions, they stand to make money off putting them in even if DW2R did a s*( job , I'm sure that EC cant go forward with out Games workshop staring over there shoulder like a fat kid at a Baskin and robins to make sure they have all kinds of stuff in the game that according to "Fluff" should not be.

FYI, its not ego, its anger. Stop peeing on my hopes and dreams "yodeling wasp". Thanks.
  3. And I already pointed out that all those games were set in the Ultima Segmentum, specifically so they could be played.

I didn't even see your post in this thread until after I posted, just pointing out that following the lore is a good sign of interest by the developers.

EDIT: Even more so if this is related to the 13th Black Crusade of which the Tau have absolutely nothing to do with, much less care.
  4. BTW, he doesn't mean the allies matrix of the codex, he means if your faction is currently allied with a rival faction.

But yeah, I'd live to see boarding actions. Single players can get smaller ships, all of them can have appropriate NPC defenders or call for aide if you personal ship gets raided. Guilds get bigger ships based on membership.

I would be like levels, Single Person ships are level 1 raids, so perhaps a pop limit on assaulter or something.

Anyways, glad the promise is at least "en-route"

Yea, have to be on Dragun's side here, when it comes to a certain current fluff... Tau advanced themselves from living in caves and banging rocks together to a space-faring, high-tech, cast-based race with technology comparable to that of the Eldar. Given that exponential technological advance the Tau have been sporting so far, who's to say warp-travel or web-way hacking isn't around the corner?

The polls for next playable faction have all been fanmade. There hasn't been an official vote and there won't be for quite some time.
  7. I facepalm internally every time I see someone say, "Tau can't be added, they're too far away."

That's what writers are for. Here's an example of how, yes, they can be added. It's a colonization fleet, they come en masse and come to stay, that way only a 1 way trip is necessary as all the Tau know fully well that they'll never see home again.

    Simple.
    Sumshine and PinoCrodino like this.
  8. So.. they flew in Imperial/Ork//Chaos/ Ork/Eldar/Nids/Ork/Ork Space without being found out once traveling as slow as they do and managed to find Arkhona? Dam they must've left when the Emperor was fighting Horus... or earlier...

Tho they can just get pulled into a warp and its a random fleet of United subfaction ships/
  9. for the Tau coming i clearly see more something like a worm hole, they already know how to manipulate gravity at large scale, so stabilizing one can be something interesting

or maybe its caused by some anomaly coming from the planet, and we have the how and why question answered 2in1
  10. It would need to they were pulled into the Warp or bust... other then that its just a miracle the fleet was never detected
