I really think the developers shouldn't be thinking of ship related stuff beyond a slightly (if even) customisable training area yet. Founders Access hasn't even started yet.
@Dragun16 I guarantee you will only be allowed to do pve with your faction (possibly team up without communication if the pve areas are every team for themselves vs tyranids) nor will you be able to enter an opposing factions space ship. This is the nature of all rvrvr or faction based games Sorry for your loss man. Try get ure friends to join Tau with you when they come out! I heard that with faction balancing an eldar or whatever might be matched up with the space marines as an auxiliary, maybe this will mean being placed with a pve group but it won't be something you can join as a party with friends from another faction. At best it will be a random matchmaking thing with lower population fights. I presume you'll be able to voice chat with them only not enter a space ship
Well, they'd have a general idea and I'm pretty sure they'll have some basic stuff laid down even if they decide it's not time to really start working on it. But yea, post launch for ships is the best idea, more time to get them right
I can worry about ships when I need to go back to one, not even killed anybody yet! I'd atleast like a few organic trophies to hang up before retreating to one!
This discussion is super entertaining to me. I say you will eventually get ships, we have a way of making them that might work well I also said they are not in launch, never have said that and never will But you also want cross-faction play. Not going to happen for two reasons. This is so against lore (except for allies) and GW would never allow heresy like that. However, I read 60 pages of "FOLLOW THE LORE" threads every day so being asked to totally fuck it over with cross-faction play is quite amusing Ending that with the fact that the reason you do have 4 character slots (or more, we'll see) is so you can play every faction. It's not the same but the best we can do given the circumstances. So no, we can't have our cake and eat it. Only 'nids can.
@Nathan Richardsson 3.But you also want cross-faction play. Not going to happen for two reasons. This is so against lore (except for allies) and GW would never allow heresy like that. So what denotes "allies" Tau allies matrix shows them only "battle brothers" with Eldar, or are we talking "allies of convenience", sorry to direct a question, but I love 40K and I want to play it as soon as possible, but my end game and the place were I will have the most fun is with the Tau faction, I want to continue to play my faction and play with friends, ill make sure to also bring this up again in the Q&A #21. If Tau cant ally with any one but Eldar truth be told I may just wait tell Tau are month away from launch, then I can "pay to play with my friends".
If you're worried about enforcing the lore (yay!), this means no Tau as well since they can't reach the Segmentum Obscurus or even know what lies there.
Once again going of topic, @Hell_Grunt , why not stay on topic and talk about the OTHER factions that are "battle brothers" that all wear the same space marine armor but are only allies of convenience, as these compare more to constructive information about how an why space marines all working for the emperor cant board echothers ship so Eldar, Tau, and ork shouldn't be able to either. Tau and Necron are voted factions, if they are not going to be a playable faction WHY EVEN HAVE A VOTE. Coming at me again with they have no place on the planet, well guess what space rift, warp gate, temporal flexure. How ever Tau get there, we are on our way, so spread them your going to get Rail Gunned.
