Just what I need. Some assholes on the Ork side throwing tickets away to end their daily "quota" faster. Daily quest players are cancer, don't care for the side, and will do whatever it takes to end the game faster. Even if that means driving transports off cliffs so the game never progresses past the first five minutes of capping point A.
so youde prefer no players and 1 v 10's ? you gotta suck it up somewhere either deal with no pop or accept things that will increase the pop. It could also be a reward for "winning" with the other faction ..... as opposed to just "playing".
That actually kind of helps make my point. They are literally warrior monks, but not archetypically. Because they aren't portrayed in that way, they don't get any of the emotional appeal of the archetype. I'd love to see Eldar portrayed in that way. Imagine a revenge flick with Keanu Reeves playing a Dire Avenger taking out the xenophobic bio-engineered monstrosity that killed his space-puppy.
Faction balance and attention to the other two factions that exist besides marines would fix it. And yes I would rather have 1v 10, because it would mean games would stop altogether then those really responsible, the devs, would be forced to fix it. And you act like guilds can't swap wins with each other. One guild wins 3 with elder, than the other does. Make the rtc you earn faction specific.
Yes, and that's why I'm done with this. It's boring: population is too low to grant variety: I spend most of the time waiting for a match to pop up, and that's always against Space Marines. Fights against Chaos are ultra rare, and fights against Eldar just do not exist anymore. When I start a match the game often crashes to desktop. When it finall works it's always Space Marines, meaning it's a festival of JPA spam or Plasma Spam. I do not have much time for videogames and I've decided I won't waste it with EC anymore. We need balancing, we need more content, and we need more players. When it happens give me a call, until then I'm done.
Agreed, this is another facet to the problem. Part of the appeal of EC is the asymmetric balance, but if you want variety in your opponents, you're best off playing LSM. I think we need to ask the question of LSM players: what change would need to be made that would cause you to switch main faction? It's hard one to answer for me, since the Heavy Bolter is my specific choice, and I chose Space Wolves because I like their whole Viking schtick. CSM are enough of a mirror that the choice between them is mostly fluff driven for me, so I'd need to have something that appealed more than Vikings, especially with my unlocked Vet on LSM, and overcome my distaste for the deliberately cruel and violent attitudes of Chaos in the Lore . If CSM was consistently more organised and had better play than LSM, I might consider a switch for my sanity, but I've seen enough foolish play on both sides to know that the grass is greener on both sides. Orks just don't appeal from a playing them perspective. Love the faction, just not interested in being one. I can't think of a change that would cause me to switch to them. Eldar don't have the same raw visceral feel to their HB equivalent, and I don't like the animations, but I do enjoy the Swooping Hawk. Not enough to switch mains to that though - probably just my most played alt. The only change I can think of that would make me switch entirely is the introduction of a new class - but it's a Dark Eldar one. I really liked the playstyle of the Global Agenda Assault Class, even more so than the Heavy Bolter in Space Marine, and the Dark Eldar Ravager is the best 40k analogue
How about two-way assaults? 20 LSM vs. 10 Eldar vs. 10 Orks. Defender starts with points, attackers fight defenders and each other for defender's points. Attackers have the meters to determine if they win, defenders win if neither attacker wins in the time limit.
Come on, it's only almost 3 months after release. You can't expect them to at least have a basic, core feature like matchmaking working yet! They've only had a few years after all. I really don't think these devs could code that in, honestly. Nothing I have seen since the start suggests they're capable of anything but mediocrity.
