I'm fairly sure that if it moves around on the map, it's going to take spots. Then again I'm not a programmer and even smaller MMORPGs appear to sport a lot of NPCs that move around on the field at least..
It's somehow natural that players are not divided equally among the four factions. The problem is not just that CSM are more than the others, but that population is already too low. 300 players in the peak hour means we probably have 30 Eldars and 50 orks: that's not enough to grant good fights for everyone. The problem is not LSM are too cool compared to the others. The problem is the game will never take off if they keep asking 50 euros for a clearly unfinished game.
Price point is by far the biggest problem here, the quality offered and price to entry it has kinda locked the playerbase, even CSGO is like £20 and the other 40k titles on steam are below £20 at this point. And lets not touch the cosmetics, that is mobile game level prices on a £40 release.
And how exactly would they fix that a huge majority of the community is LSM fans ? they didn't break that ..... I would venture to say that isn't broken ... if people like LSM they like LSM ..... so you'de rather the game die, or people wait forever and have no opponent diversity just because some guilds could try to game the system ? that doesn't make a lot of sense to the rational observer, especially when said guilds have to sign up to specifically play each other IN FRONT OF THE DEVS, so if every week the same 2 guild play the same race swapped matches and they always win as the low pop faction .... its going to smell like fish dude they will catch them. "Things are bad i think we should let them get worse to punish someone not responsible for the faction pop balance for no rational reason other than butthurt." LSM was the highest played faction WHEN THEY WERE SO BAD THEY WERE BASICALLY UNPLAYABLE ..... every time no matter the balance theres always more LSM ... it has nothing to do with GAME BALANCE and everything to do with fanbase .... so if you give them the opportunity to obtain something for what they want to play by playing what they don't want to play it will only help the problem, its probably not going to be enoughto SOLVE the problem but at least if the faction queue's were more even less people would be quiting because they cant get enough together to make a team, and you might even see people join with the increased opportunity to obtain RTC or shop items.
Having people half ass a quota of games on the opposing side for rewards on their side is A: going to cause resentment against the side the player perceives as the reason they have to waste their limited fun time to get rewards (instead of just buying some rtc) B: will create crippled sides with unfamiliar options to said temporary players with no investment in actual winning, teamwork, or community building, and C: WILL result in players taking the shortest route to reward as humans do. This means sabotage on your own side when necessary. Orks about to cap B and extend the game longer? Good thing in here with my rokkit launcha to prevent my team from capping until the marines can recover and come clear out the room again. Playing fortress? Guess ill sit in the main quad guns so they can't fire on the marines and they can bust thru the door faster. Then I will run headlong into fire to expend tickets as fast as possible. I would rather see civil war, marine 's. marine than that crap.
Obviously impossible. Everytime the other factions get something slightly good, not even OP, the LSM community tend to band together to get it nerfed.
