Just hope that IF they make another Space Marine game,,, they dont make so many mistakes and do some basic research. And that they add more weapons, Armor, propper cover system and no personal power shields for a standard marine. Perhaps if you manage to get up to high level,,, but not a level 1 with a fething power field like a captain or reclusiarc would have!
I dunno, I'd like both. I think Mass Effect 3 does it pretty well, with certain classes and races being able to both pummel things in close quarters and sit in cover... I hid from enemies many times in Space Marine, and hated that I couldn't actually sit in cover, when it clearly was what I was supposed to do at the point. Also, "Space Marines doesn't do cover?" What is the hat of Imperial Fists, Iron Warriors and Raven Guard, then?!
Imp Fisters: huge fortifications Iron Warriors: they besiege fortresses, that means moving through the enemy's cover by force Raven Guard: standing in the middle of the open plain and being totally overlooked isnt cover
You seriously believe that Marines function like that? They are super soldiers with extremely powerful gear and physiology, but they aren't fantasticly powerful like that. A stray bullet to the head may kill them just as easily as any other species. Everybody needs cover and tactical advances - Marines CAN make an all out attack, but the reason that's possible is because they are in the right place at the right time. They are tactically versatile, not unstoppable killing machines. Also, Raven Guard are stealthy, but more in the sense that they fight in guerilla style and uses misdirection as one of their main tools. They aren't superninjas.
Being able to blend into shadows perfectly is the definition of super ninja. They literally possess invisibility
well space marines use cover in tabletop, the fiction and a lot of games (i.e. eternal crusade). they might be super soldiers and all, but they're not stupid... i liked the approach they took with space marine (the game) though, as i had tons of fun slaughtering through orks and regaining health only through executions
Some of their Psykers can do it, and that's a special psychic ability they inhereted from Corvus Corax. Their Marines are nothing special, really.
