Without requiring even the order, Zhu Li'ang took aim and would keep the right flank clean as he fired in single-fire, precision over firepower. The one one the furthest right would receive several shots into the chest, not sure of a weak spot in the warpspawn, but it was the wisest choice as the Bolter would at least press the creature back.
The chamber was entirely empty. There were no daemons in sight but, equally, no crew either. One of the control panels was flashing a red warning light.
<Sho'nohak> Stepping into the room he scans the area from over the muzzle of his bolt pistol, chainsword locked in his grip and the custom ringed handle he had fashioned to resemble a drake's teeth clamping down on his fingers; a defense meant to keep others from wielding it against him. Approaching the warning light he attempts to diagnose the main issue at hand.
The panel read: Warning, Gellar Field stability compromised. Gellar Field at 50% capability. Warning, energy core damage detected. Warning, radiation leak detected. Warning, Gellar Field temperature control failure detected. Warning, internal Gellar Field temperature at 143c. Gellar Field at 48% capability. Urgent repair required--contact your nearest Tech Priest, and pray to The Emperor.
OOC: last post of the night so folks don't get left behind. Taking another look about the room he moves to inspect the housing unit for the core itself. "Brothers, can you try the vox again and see if anyone more capable of fixing this is aboard? If not, then cover me. " Not desiring to waste any time waiting for a response he drew out the multi-tool after mag-locking his bolt pistol down against his belt opting to keep his melee weapon ready. Peering forward he attempts to discern just how serious the damage is done and what exactly needs fixing.
Scribe bringing up the rear of the formation enters last, smoke still curling up idly from his bolters muzzle. Quickly he opened up a general vox channel "all friendly imperial forces this is third company, squad two, scribe. If there is a techpriest recieving this, we need you in egineering posthaste! Please respond over" his gaze wandering over the floors and walls slick with blood and riddeled with bulletholes and lasburns. "Brothers let's get a defense perimeter up andready a team to push out and meet any survivors that answer our call. Sho'honak status?"
Removing the front panel of the archaic machine, Sho was shocked to find that the circuitry was melted and the wiring blow. His initial diagnosis was that it had been caused by a massive short-circuit, but how that had occurredwas beyond his expertise. With such extensive damage, there was nothing the marine could do. As he looked to the damage, his helmet's display began to warn him of the radiation leak within the machinery before him. There was no response. The vox seemed to only pick up static. [botting Deran's guy so that things don't get bogged down waiting for his response] ''The machine is beyond repair,'' Shonohak said, pieces of the broken circuits in hand. ''Brothers, status?'' the sergeant asked, the sound of bolter fire sounding out through his vox communication.
"Sir this is Scribe, gellar generator fried beyon our expertise. We're green on ammo, casualties and equipment. Omnissiah benvolent I pray you still have an alive ship engineer up there? Over" Scribe peered out into the hallway, it was eerily quiet. He couldn't phantom why and was aching to release those vile chaosspawns from existance.
<Sho'nohak> Grunting as the follow up report went out he drew his bolt pistol and set himself into position near the entrance way, keeping watch for any more threats while they figured out a new course of action. This was going to get very ugly very, very fast.
As his brother setteled besides him scribe shot him a quick smile of course under the helmet that was not appearant. "Well brother as always the situation looks grim, but on the other hand when doesn't it?" Fingers running down the inlaid litanies on his weapons hekept scanning the surroundings. "Can you recall if there were combat engineers on board. They might have a enginseer with them."
