Sooo, the RTC Pricing Might Cause Issues

Its not just games, its a marketing strategy that works. Some items are priced at 2000, 4000, 5000, 8000 & 10000. You can buy 4000 credits and get a mix of items or one 4000 item. The next best looking one is likely to be 5k same for the 9000 credit purchase, You can split buy or you can buy a bigger sum of money or wait for a campaign to get the 10000 item.

You want to say "fuck you" for the company making money and running the servers and updating the game... You either support them or you don't no one is forcing you to buy a cosmetic item that has no effect on the game. It is your choice to buy the bigger pack anyway despite knowing why it is that way.

outfit pieces should be £2 each at most, and they should just churn out a lot of them, and add more types to trees.

i already bought the game, i shouldn't have to continually pay to keep it running, this isn't an MMO, and until it is i won't pay a sub.

Some of the items seem poorly priced (targetting squig is 10k outside of the bundle for instance), but I think the only mega horrible thing is that they did MS Point style currency rates.

5k RTC should be equal to $5 before bonus currency for bulk buying currency (like how you get 120k or so RTC for buying $100 of RTC).

I never tried to justify the price, I just pointed out they were not helmets.

Very few people buy cosmetic items. Those who do buy the ones they want. Even fewer people collect them. Pricing has to cover the development of the item and make profit. Churning out loads of items requires loads of work

You bought the game, You got the game. The servers are currently running but they have running costs, Cosmetic items and RTC help cover the cost of these servers and that is reflected in the pricing. You are by no means required to buy the items.

You are right you do not have to contribute to the running of the server. This is however factored into item pricing, If you want that item then you can buy it, They are not going to offer a discount for those who don't want to help contributing to server and development costs.

There is no monthly fee so you do not have to contribute at all and infact you don't even have to buy the game. what you bought was a select few items, Some currency and earlier access.

Honestly its probably the least pay to win game ever with 1 item currently giving a tiny advantage. Furthermore they give you free currency for playing the campaigns which in turn reduces the cost of items for the paying customer.

Just imagine if they had vehicles in the RTC store. It might be cheaper to buy a real one.

Kidding aside, I wish they went for the Guildwars approach with extra char slots and the likes. Things like that I think would of been a lot more lucrative for them that they could of adjusted to more sensible prices all round.

I view Eternal Crusade's cosmetics like this.

They're terribly overpriced, so I won't spend real money on them.

    Basically my mindset

Even warframe on console has better prices honestly

Generally I want to say 'fuck you' to the concept of selling a game in beta and then having shitty microtransactions and only selling the cash shop currency in amounts designed to fuck people over by requiring them to buy extra currency they may not want or need.

The pricing of cosmetics vs the RTC purchase amounts are a classic shady trick to make people spend more money on the game than necessary. It's disgusting.
