After the omnibus. I like how Talos and some of his fellow claws took a stance and rejected the gifts from the great ones. Anybody else who is going to play Nightlord as not being a part of one of the 4 ?
I been hosting a Night Lords driven Black Crusade for some years. Ask me anything. Also my player populations is more then half females...Night Lords are chicks magnets... My best advice would be to allows your players to play both a Night Lords and a puny human. Inter mix of both during fights is not good. Mortals are squishy . Here we work in game of "puny mortals" sessions ( about 80%) of time. Packed with intrigue and puzzles and smaller more manageable fights. And Night Lords sessions when the puny mortals finds something too big to deal with. Also I never allow a player to play both Master and Serf. Each serf player should answer to an other player. It makes interaction far more interesting. I personally do not like chaos gods driven campaign but I started with the small scenario in the Black Crusade Game Master's Handbook. Then I tweaked scenarios and rules from Rogue Trader RPG as they did manage to get a ship and that one of the serf is a navigator. For Night Lords rules. The archetype is in the tome of blood and in not bad but I would not force night lords player into it. You can take any archetype and put night lords colors on them. The Night Lords Archetype is also stronger by 3600 xp compare to player guides chaos space marines archetypes so make sure to balance it out Have fun
Oh, I could incorporate Rogue Trader. I've never ran it but I've played a few times. I was wanting to try a mix of human and marine so they'd have to be careful with who they're able to fight. It might force them to split up, take risks etc. I probably won't keep it going long though. I just want to have some fun with Chaos marines
We had a couple of good sessions with Night Lords fighting with the help/hindering of serfs. It is always hilarious.

You should do a piece of a Night Lord Chaos Lord with wings or something. Something like this would look absolutely sick with digital painting, and without the garbage mono-pose of snapfit models.
