I'm just now running my first Dark Heresy game and I'm pretty busy already. And I'm not entirely done with the omnibus yet.
I devoured the Night Lord books as they came out. I really like that ADB made Soul Hunter still noble in his own way, same with how Simon Spurrier presented Zso Sahaal (another good book if you haven't read it). I've done 3 DH 1.0 campaigns, 1 2.0 campaign, one long running Deathwatch game where I and the players created their own Chapter and ran them from neophytes 'til we had to quit, 1 Only War campaign, and a Rogue Trader game. All of them I was the one to run them lol. The only one I haven't had a chance to r̶u̶n̶ er... play is Black Crusade. Because people don't like being the "bad guy" and mostly because there's a short supply of people able to roleplay evil/crazy.
im on the last few chapters of the omnibus. they are facing the eldars now. its soo good! currently painting my flyboys. about 80-90% done.
The best thing about this is how both authors make you think that. Both Talos and ZS think they are these betrayed heroes out for revenge...behind to run away with his prize) and Talos is just as much a murderer as the rest of the legion (in fact they all even tell him how deluded he is about himself and the legion on numerous occasions
I am already c0-game master for a black crusade campaign.Night Lord themed of course . The trouble players can get themselves into is both remarkable and entertaining.I'd be open for player spot or I can always give tips if needed. In other news, new faction leader announcement. Now now I don't want to spoils to much for those of you who are still learning history (reading the unholy trilogy). But in short: Death to Jain Zar!!! Spoiler: Read at your own risk as if you were wandering a dark alley on Nostramo. Jain Zar "aka Void Stalker aka that xeno bitch that decimated 1st Claw of 10th Company aka that elven pancake under Malcharion's foot" is leading the eldar force. Can I hear the sinister warcry of my brothers "We have come for you, Void Stalker"!! I won't be satisfied until those xenos are deft from our relentless scream and their leader displayed as a fine flesh banner!!
And the worst thing about the authors is letting us wanting more stories... I want my sequel with awesome Mita and her pet night lord...because we all know that she is the boss. Black library need more females lead...
Every Saturday with my group, looked in a basement, without the kids. Its already quite a feat to manage it irl. I don't see how i would do it online lol.
