Just use the transport decoy trick on roads, it was something I pulled off all the time in Battlefield, which will work even better in EC with meltabombs.

1) Get a Rhino.

2) Park Rhino, abandon it on a road, blocking transit. If you have explosives, mine it.

3) Get out of Rhino, hide with your buddies either in a ditch or behind elevated terrain.

4a) Enemy vehicle kicks out either one or two people with instructions to ensure it isn't booby trapped. If you have explosives, detonate them and use the rhino as a bomb to kill the enemy scouts, then have the rest of your friends shoot the tank to pieces with a rocket volley.

4b) Enemy armor blows up the rhino/transport, leaves and you're out of luck.

4c) Enemy armor blows up rhino, then charges ahead thinking either the crew died somewhere else or is cautious and aggressively scouts the area. Either run or quickly place explosives and kill the tank.

4d) Mentally retarded tank crew completely abandons their tank to inspect transport, take the tank, then shoot them. Or shoot them and take the tank. Or destroy if it you can't pilot enemy vehicles.

except remote exlposives i have read are somewhat rare
