Warning spoilers for the novel "Void Stalker" Such a pity that Talos died. I liked the Night Lords and every character was well written in my opinion, but Talos sucked me in and I liked every second of him. Coming from a DA fan this means a lot.
So. Did Konrad Curze die? Or the night haunter? or both? *Kurze has multiple personality disorder* That is the question. :l
Curze is confirmed dead. The only other Primarchs we know definitely are dead are Manus and Horus, with Horus being perma-dead. Considering it's possible Sanguinius reincarnated as that Sanguinitor guy or whatever the hell he's called, I wouldn't be surprised if Curze or Manus could still be rezzed.
Eh..... Just design something with a person's face chopped off, skinned, then stretched over the helmet. Spice it up with some stuff like a set of claws serving as the grill holding the skinned mouth open, like they're trying to pull themselves out. Give it a great fear factor as well by having a cloak made of skinned faces all stiched together, manipulated to look like they're all screaming in agony. Bam, good CSM right there. When you want fear, best to copy Slaanesh cultists. They're pretty much the only truly horrifying thing in W40K from the appearance. Night Lords have always been scary thanks to their actions- not their armor. Good sketch though. Better than I draw. Also, other ideas could consist of the CSM respirator with the Astartes' head having physically grown over it, adopting the leering appearance of a bat, similar to the Vampire Counts epic bat creatures for Warhammer Fantasy. Some good examples of Night Lord Helms.

Isn't that already how the Night Lords operate? They still are able to induct new Astartes and have the ability to replicate gene-seed, so they end up pumping out a lot of Raptors.
