Okay, I'm with the half-templar on this one. Canon names for players cannot be taken seriously. Unless someone proves to be just like the canon character, then he will earn the nickname. Think of it like Horus Aximand, he didn't pick the name "Horus" for himself, it became a nickname because of how much his face resembled that of the Warmaster.
Actually it seems like Marduk is a common name in the Imperium for Space Marines. There was one Saint Marduk and then there was a Marduk for Chaos. So why not more Marduk's?
It is true, I remember reading a few books that had a different character with the name Proteus. One for a Space Marine Chapter, the Movie, I think a Chaos Marine and so on. BTW, Marduk, I LOVE your icon image <3
i was more pointing towards Lucius, who has all the same weapons and everything...and is TRYING to be exactly like him. Its not that big a deal when someone shares a name with someone if they arent trying to be them....generally...
I see what you're saying. Well on Forums I think they're alright. I mean who wouldn't want to be Kharne, kicking ass with Gore Child? Come the launch they may not be able to use canon names like Kharne, Lucius, etc.
