This is what ive never understood about people attempting to use lore as a replacement for proper game balance... If we're going to balance things strictly on lore, then the Orks have the power to demolition everyone, thanks to their collective waaghh psychic which defies all laws of both the immaterium and real world... These guys can literally build everything from handguns to fully functionally star cruisers by putting a bunch of random scrap together and "believing" it will work. If we are going to use book fluff to determine how the game is made, the Spesh Maureens could be shooting friggin' black holes and nuclear warheads out of their bolters as far im concerned, all it takes is enough Orks to believe theyre all impervious to damage and it will become true, because game lore allows Waaagh to do that kinda stuff... And if enough Orks decide that a six-shoota with blue-ironsights, red chamber and yellow ammunition can blow up a planet in one shot... it could... because "lore".
The bolter is very weak guys. Here's what a good LSM player can do with a level 0 preset. And here's what top tier LSM players can do with a bolter. ppl whining about LSM UP are the people who : Never seen 1 good Plasma barrage take out 10 orks in 1 hit. Never seen 6 Plasma cannons hold fortress for 10 minutes. Never Used Plasma Cannon correctly Never been toasted by a multi melta in a small corridor. Never played as a team. Never tried shooting the bolter single shot aimed at the head . but rather spray and pray ( to the emperor) etc etc
Ok, I only briefly went through this thread but i've seen it before. If you feel that your marine is weak look at what your fighting Your warped spawn brothers enhanced by daemon powers 10000000000000 year old warriors in armour that makes them more battle focused than you and fungus men with no weak points that are designed to be the ultimate bio weapon by the most powerful race in lore Yea bolt guns are strong but just as the Eldar and Ork weapons. At the end of the day this is a game and so lore has to take a back seat and besides lets make your bolter lore accurate, well okay but you lose relic armour, power weapons, and grav guns because thouse are 1 in a million weapon, also the ork team has 30 players on you on each map
You missed it. Ashgarn was drunk on teamspeak and he went off on an hour long tirade about the Tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise. It's a Sith legend. Darth Plagueis was a Dark Lord of the Sith so powerful and so wise, he could use the Force to influence the midi-chlorians to create...life. He had such a knowledge of the Dark Side, he could even keep the ones he cared about...from dying. He became so powerful, the only thing he was afraid of was losing his power...which, eventually of course, he did. Unfortunately, he taught his apprentice everything he knew. Then his apprentice killed him in his sleep. Ironic. He could save others from death...but not himself.

You are always targeted by mockeries because of your unwilling to learn how to be good. And then you throwing insults to any non-LSM player like "biased dog i dont care what you saying xeno/heretic scum"
I'm sorry but this isn't really about balancing LSM. This is about making them closer to their lore counterparts. This isn't Space Marine and the Adeptus Astartes aren't the only playable faction here. Mind you that if they tried to implement this game to be more lore-friendly, you'd have to remove the damn orks and make them a PVE enemy because the Orks are known to outnumber most other factions and fight and die by the thousands.....
